figured he'd be taking over anthony lyns old job as assistand head coach, good role. Except staley will be helping the defense where anthony helped with offense
Agree. Smart. Nick knows the scheme and the players. That makes it less likely he will ask them to do something they're not good at, as Steve did. Brandon can train him to be a coordinator, and add some new scheme. He won the Super Bowl for the Rams doing the latter.

@@tommydong8070 No I'm saying not play the analytics game like Staley & Dan Campbell do. They go for it way too much. You obviously don't watch enough of other teams in the NFL. Otherwise you would have known Staley was one of the top coaches to always go for it on 4th down. Usually unsuccessfully. Also the Niners don't need to go for it on 4th down as much because we can rely on our defense hopefully stopping the other team. Unless it's Mahomes & the Chiefs 🙄
😂 Kyle needs help too. He loss to 2 SB to the same team. Granted the rosters were different. 1 SB good running n good defense. 2nd SB better passing n weaker defense. Kyle seems to be conservative in the Niners SB. Kyle loss another SB as Atlanta OC. He was agressive, probably should have run the clock out. Some questionable decisions. Run Cmc eith #20-28 ranked O-line against C.Jones n company. Chiefs used press coverage n blitzes to disrupt Brock's ability to handle off schedule plays n use his mobility to escape rush. But O-line wasn't address until 3rd n 6th. D-line wasn't address in draft at all. Instead, using FAs n re-treads to fill defense needs. Kyle might be this era's Bills Levy, who loss 4 SB with J.Kelly.
I can understand people putting the blame on Kyle for the Niners SB loses, but it boggles my mind how he is blamed for the loss at Atlanta. He was OC only, put up a lot of points and did his side of the job, and he didn't have any control of the defense, so how is he blamed for a job that wasn't his? Could of should of is all anyone can say, but that has no bearing to the piss poor job that DC did in losing that big lead Kyle gained for the Falcons.
