James is a great metal singer. It's not just what he's got, but how he uses it. He developed a technique that works for him and it has allowed him to preserve his voice.
When ever or whatever James sings he always gets it into the right mood and good moves, when he does smile, he looks like little kid ( that knows he has it all )
@@dekapitatorr his voice was declining so he went to a vocal coach who taught him to belt properly after he started having issues. He said so himself in one of the band documentaries. He sounds different because he now sings with technique and uses resonance too.
I think he learned vocal technique which allowed him to use his voice better and project without screaming and ending shot after concerts. Of course there will always be a decline after about 10 years of singing, but he put his time into learning to preserve his voice.
James Hetfield is just a superb frontman. Since Black Album era his voice is so powerful, and he can play those riffs all at the same time with no trouble Unoopular opinion: St Anger's record has his best vocal lines
Unpopular opinion: St. Anger is great, and everything being trash really adds to the FEEL of anger, hatred, sadness, and depression. Source: Me, who is angry, full of hatred, sad, and has depression. I love the awful snare, awful production, mediocure songwriting, and him sounding like a dying squirrel. I LOVE St. Anger and will fight 1v1 fox only final destination no items anyone who hates it.
Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, Phil Anselmo, Corey Taylor, the competition is really tough, but he is definetely one of the best
@@superhosster ya I was referencing towards the big 4. But In terms of baritone vocalists, he’s pretty up there too. I really think James’s voice was at its peak in the late 80s and early 90s.
The best one is probably The outlaw torn, it is the most musical, that’s for sure. I was soooo impressed by his lines in that song after listening to “ClAsSiC mEtAlLiCa” that it became my favorite
He's genuinely the best memeber of the band. Not to disrespect the rest, I love them, but they are not as good as James in what they do. Glad you included Unforgiven III, James sings so beautifully there!
During the black album tour is when he realized he needs to chill out and tone it down or he'd permanently damage his voice. He changed it up for load and reload which is cool
the entirety of "All Within My Hands" on the album is insane he was truly releasing his anger and frustration on St. Anger a shame that he never performed the original version live
At the end of The House Jack Built James hits a A0 if im remembering correctly, Also Fixxxer and the whole Load and ReLoad albums in general have some of jameses most insane vocals especially considering his vocal range like seriously check out Fixxxer
I'd love to see a Craziest Vocal Lines video about Dave Mustaine. Yeah, many people don't like his vocals but hear me out, he used to sing VERY high all the time and some of his stuff is crazy hard to sing, and especially when playing guitar at the same time. That part in Mary Jane where he sings all the way up to a Eb5 (If I remember correctly) comes to mind.
His vocals on Youthanasia (my personal favourite Megadeth record) were great. Check out A Tout Le Monde and I Thought I Knew It All, his singing on there never fails to give me chills.
The vocals on the "Hush little baby" line from "Enter Sandman" are actually around an E3. That being said, the grit on the voice is still impressive at such a mid-range note.
When you said Enter Sandman i was expecting the super low "Ohhhhh" notes at the very end of the song (you can hear it only on the without vocals version and it starts at 4:44)
I'd like to see a Japanese singer who sung that "Unravel" song. His voice is almost feminine sometimes. All his songs are composed with alot of falsettos and insanely high notes.
The second song I did with my Vocal Teacher was unforgiven 3, I Stuck on that high Note so long that we had to change to another Song and I still havent done this Part, but I will eventually!
No matter how high wild strong screams notes can sing an metal singer but the quality of voice how much beautyful is going on up in the area the vibration the deepest the color of vocal ..so in my opinion the most beatyful metal vocal are Timo Kotipelto from Stratovarius
can't believe my world is not on here. probably james most intense vocal ever "only do i not know the answer... I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE QUESTION IS!!!"
I don't think clip 3 is hearing James without a mic. I think it's his monitor mix that has the vocals very loud compared to everything else. It's still awesome though.
The video uploader said he was so close he could hear him “there” without the microphone, thats about it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Rlo0zfSlpKY.html
@@CrazySinging Yeah. I've seen that video. I would say it's the stage monitors that are being heard in the video. There's no way you could hear a voice over crowd noise and PA and drums. It's just James's monitor mix with a lot of vocals in it.
If you want to check out someone with a good voice, I recommend the singer Daniel Graves from the band Aesthetic Perfection. Listen to the song Gods & Gold and you will find out 🙂
@@CrazySinging Just watched the Kurt Cobain one :) great work, keep it up I just found it finny how you hold it and try to stay in frame, heh. It's okay
I can sing enter sandman, I don't know if it's as good. I've been doing crazy stuff with my voice since I was 11 or 12, trying to imitate lurch, other people and things.
