My first niche fragrance was Diptyques Tam Dao, this was before I knew what niche was. My boyfriend at the time had a friend that worked at Diptyque i ended up buying things from Diptyque often, especially the candles. That was like 8 years ago. I wasn’t into fragrances I had maybe 2-3 bottles at a time. The only companies I knew were Tom Ford, Diptyque, Jo Malone, Byredo and Atelier Cologne. I only recently really got into fragrances last year and now I’ve been exposed to everything from Middle Eastern, Celebrity, Designer to Niche. It’s been fun!

I got MFK BR540 extrait first got a large sample of the EDP but looking to get the 6.8 oz soon it is that good and the lotion and shower get to match with it is a killer.

My starters was Bacarat 540, the Barcarat 540 extrait then Oud Satin Mood parfum, delina , oud satin mood extrait! Great review , we definitely have most of our first niche fragrances in common!

MFK Oud Satin Mood is the truth. I’ve got a bunch of samples of it but I actually bought the extrait and it has to be absolutely cold out to wear it. And it truly does make a statement, it has a presence that is undeniable and commands your attention.

Well, your collection started out with a bang! Mine started with: Ramon Monegal Flamengo, Frassai: Blondine & Teisenddu, Delina Exclusif, La Rosée, BR 540 Extrait, Oud Satin Mood, Grand Soir, Florabotanica, Rouge Malachite, Vert Malachite. Apart from the first 3, the rest was blind buys from Karina Waldron recommendations, I was lucky they all worked out. After that, I started sampling. ❤❤

Mine started with Serge Lutens’ Feminite du Bois at Barney’s before they closed for good and also Frederic Malle’s POAL. This opened my eyes and my nose to what fragrance is when you have an open mind and you want to smell unique. Also, Killian’s Liasons Dangereuse. I feel like it’s Good Girl Gone Bad older sister. I love the early days of Killian.

I wasn’t into fragrances at all. I had never heard of any of these niche houses. I got a sample of BR540 and my mind was blown. I know the rest of the fragrance world was already over it but to me, it was new and unique. I would get compliments every time I wore it. That’s when I jumped down the rabbit hole to see what else was out there.

Bond no 9 Chinatown started my niche journey. I absolutely adore BR 540 esp the extrait. I cannot do rose fragrances very often …Delina gives me a headache😢 I miss out on so many fabulous fragrances because I can’t do the rose note. But I got a sample of Love Delight and that one I love and it does a have a rose note so🤷🏻‍♀️ if the rose note is way in the back ground and anchored well then I must be ok. My skin turns the rose note screechy for some reason.

Because I have a collection 😅 Your videos started my sampling journey bc I love perfume but see I love being debt free more so the debt has to go before I dare pay these prices for a scent! Hi Santa! POAL definitely requires a fur coat and red bottoms. I first discovered POAL through your review and sampled it immediately after. POAL started my love of rose fragrances. However Killian RIL, Angel's Share, PDM Oriana, Delina Exclusif, Xerjoff Dama Bianca, and Nishane Ani started off my budding niche collection. I agree that cold weather fragrances tend to stand out more. Lovely video.
