Here are some topic suggestions: the body's cooling system and water system (drinking and urination during long sport (like hiking in hot summer). As well as the long term health aspects of various exercises. Thank you.

I'm a Division 1 Football athlete. I fractured a metatarsal in my foot right before training camp last year, due to barefoot jump rope. That being said I was doing 8 hours a week of strength and conditioning with my team as well, while also doing lots of single leg variations on jump rope. If your an athlete already on a intense S&C program, be very careful how you choose to get extra work in. It has to be very thought out and strategized. My go-to's are Isometrics, Sleds, and using machines. It's a marathon not a sprint. Those variations are effective for increasing performance and recovery without overtaining; but everything takes time. and that's ok. To my young athletes: ypou have more time than you think.

I like your outlook on training. I recently turned 18 and I feel like I have to be pushing everything, but I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that your athletic journey truly is a marathon not a sprint. Whatever movement one learns, one should do it slowly and thoroughly. As slow as progress might be, the slowest way to progress is to get injured

Great advice. Definitely need to find an appropriate starting point and make sure it’s well tolerated.

I started jumping rope in 2020 and have never done it with shoes on. I think I can go about 5-8 minutes straight, but usually do sets of 2-3 minutes.

Hey, I’ve got a question for you: I just watched your low HR running video and would like to adopt the 5 day format you depicted there(interval, aerobic base,aerobic base,aerobic base, tempo). I also strength train consistently 3 times a week. Where would barefoot jump roping fit into that plan? I need to develop some more power for trail/mountain running as I’ve noticed I’m deficient in that regard. It seems jump roping workouts could help get that power. I’ve subscribed to your channel. Thanks for he awesome videos!

Someone should make special socks that are thick at the front.

Like barefoot shoes ?
@Sergiuss555
@Sergiuss555 Год назад
@nicopala8086 no, those won't help a bit. I mean socks (long and thick) that would prevent painfully hitting yourself with the jump rope.
