such an underrated rivalry.. i really wish cody won the second fight so we could have gotten the trilogy. would have been biggest bantamweight fight of all time.. same with DC and Jones. both those rivalries deserved trilogies but unfortunately DC got too old and Cody's chin well... yeah... that being said at least we got some of the greatest trash talking moments of all time, and a very entertaining season of TUF lol
@@lucasmcclain3088 Cody's best chance to win the rivalry was the first fight, TJ beat him easier and quicker in the 2nd fight because he knew what to expect by then. Cody simply didn't evolve; he didn't pick his hands up to protect his face when it most mattered, he didn't move his head off the centreline, he never utilized his jab enough, he swung hooks and overhands with little setup to try to knock his opponent out, he kept throwing naked leg kicks, he was too overconfident as well. It didn't hinder him against Dominick Cruz who was a unique opponent and one in which Cody matched up well against stylistically, but everyone else in the top 5 he couldn't hang with them due to the aforementioned holes in his game. After consecutive KO losses, it got to the point where Cody couldn't trade in the pocket anymore due to a newfound fear of getting knocked out. Look at him now when he's tagged, he doesn't see red and throw anymore, he's like a deer in the headlights.
@@madgavin7568 true. It's like Cody's sole purpose was to beat Dominick Cruz. Plus a bunch of his teammates had already fought Dom and he was what like the fifth guy to fight him i think. So they would have already analysed a gameplan properly just to beat Dom
where's TJ where's that little weasel, where's that snake in the grass, how he got Dwyane with him, him and Dwayne gonna take over the show? They take over your gym they'll take over the show. hahahaha
A big part of why Conor was so succesfull was his ability to read people, then getting into their heads. That all stopped when he got inside of his own head and lost the aura of power he once held.
Conor and khabib being friends feels like a stretch tho right lol theres a difference between 2 prospects having mutual respect and 2 fighters being buddies. I wonder if even 10 messages in total ever went back and forth between them 🤔
Bruhh khabib is literally the only single guy who said McGregor can finish aldo, aldo was like a 4 to 1 favourite, he definitely liked McGregor and vice versa because conor said khabib would get the LW belt
Khabib and Conor became enemies through real heat bw them, not like colby and jorge, who were behaving like childs. I feel no rivalry can match the animosity like khabib and conor, their heat was damn real. I'm not saying colby and jorge are faking but still. Edit :- Khabib and Conor are miles ahead of everyone in this video only. *DC AND JONES WEREN'T FRIENDS FROM THE START, THEY WERE ENEMIES FROM THE START. AND THEIR RIVALRY HAD THE BIGGEST HEAT* now i hope you would understand me guys.
I personally think the Colby And Masvidal fight was masterful Colby exploited a weakness he knew was there He’s a pretty damn smart fighter despite his out of octagon antics
I have to admit this is the best channel that I have come across in a while the editing voice-over gives it a great feel and bring you into what is actually going on keep up the great work.
Let's pray if Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev ever were to fight, they wouldn't turn their friendship into bad blood. I really like their friendship. And they really have a good chemistry, not only infront of the camera but also from other people's perspective.
I believed that they were going to hug or at least touch gloves after the fight, I mean the trash talk was like an argument between brothers and they don't seem to hate each other as much as, for example Khabib and McGregor or Cormier and Jones who you thought were literally going to kill each other, even Garbrandt and Dillashaw hugged after their fight
Earlier doing the build-up I thought they would squash the beef, but the closer they got to the fight Colby started being more and more disrespectful, and once he brought in Jorge's family I knew it was a wrap on them squashing it...They should Box each other. that fight was a shyt-show FR!
@@iver4706 kid, please... neither of them performed as well as they have in recent fights. Colby had much better striking in his Usman fights. Jorge showed better ability to get back to his feet in previous fights... Learn the sport, buddy...
@@twes003 Had he used more tools in his arsenal like the jab (he's got a very underrated jab he almost never uses) instead of winging hooks and overhands that may have been the case.
@@daltonhamons5591 I think Cody’s more to blame for the loss than TJ. Like, if Cody had played it smart like he did with Cruz, he might’ve won even if TJ was cheating. I mean, Cody was trained by Faber specifically to beat Cruz
@@twes003 Cody's style was just a good matchup for Cruz. Nobody else fights like Cruz and Cody's style with the advantage in speed and power likely was the kryptonite because everybody else Cody has fought at the elite level, he's not looked nearly as effective. The Cody that fought Cruz was the same guy who fought TJ and Munhoz, only against Cruz he looked good because Cruz doesn't have the boxing fundamentals, punching power or counter-punching ability to punish Cody like TJ and Munhoz could. Cody is a low IQ fighter with poor striking defence.
Chuck and Tito is a legendary feud. When i started to have an interest in MMA's history one of the first things i've found was about their rivalry and how important was about MMA's growth in popularity. P.S. This is maybe your best video so far. You're doing an amazing job since the start of this channel.
Your videos just keep going up in quality with every upload, definitely became my favorite go to channel for this stuff. Keep up the great work, much love!
Jorge really got embarrassed in and outside the cage his career is over real talk he road that momentum from 2019 for as long as possible Great content man binge watching your videos such great content
De la Hoya and Ortiz took advantage of and abused Liddell's itch to fight to get him out of retirement to make some money. Heads should have rolled at the California Athletic Commission for sanctioning that farce.
Unique topic for the video, but agree with what Covington said people wish u to have good life but the moment u exceed their expectations & become successful they turn sour.
Idk if you can count Khabib and Conor lol it’s just respect for fighting between those two. Also at the time Khabib was a fan of Conor but always had his eyes on him. Soooo gg
How do you not get de-monetized for these videos since you use the videos???? I really want to know because I would do something similar and I’m scared to get copyright strikes
Back during that Ultimate Fighter Conor was at his most savage point of his career. Still super hungry and just starting to taste the big money. He would of lit Garbrandt up
Jon and Rashad was Sad for me IT had to come to that I believe Rashad might have went down to Middleweight if he lost to Shogun and Jon ultimately becoming the Champ
Dude, Just my first video on your channel. I didn't even watch it.. I listned to it like a podcast while doing the dishes after some #cbd. Your narrations are very objective and avoids the whole politics of mma. You got a new sub 😎 Edit: you got sick beats man. Do you make them too?
Great video once again brother, if you guys watched Patrick Gavias video of Colby you'll see in the video Colby was gonna get cut from ufc for being boring, idk if that's true but it would make sense why Colby came into that character all of a sudden, maybe it went to his head and ruined him and masvidals friendship.
