Amazing. INTP-ISFP couple and Dario nailed what we complain about each other. 😂 INTP continually researches healthy lifestyle protocols and then forgets to eat/drink water or eats junk food and then complains about body signals, headaches, etc. ISFP is super confident in their worldview in the moment such that anything else is seen as impossible or incorrect or a waste of time/money, and is prone to reach the “I give up” moment under stress. 😅

This was a fascinating conversation. This is actually helpful for differentiating with some people in my life and makes me rethink a specific person that I was on the fence about whether they were ENTJ or ENTP. This was awesome :)

I know what you mean with the INTJ and ESFP both feeling a dissatisfaction with where they are physically and/or metaphorically and having a strong drive to go on a trip to escape that unsatisfactory place, even if only for a while. I think that's partly why I take long walks or drives to places that I have never been or seldom go. 'I just need a break from the usual' I find myself thinking, even though most of the time, I seek the comfort of my den or office or garden, until that is, I get the urge to travel again. Last year, my wife and I went on a three week trip to New Zealand and Australia to visit relatives, botanical gardens and to see the Lord of the Rings movie locations. Amazing trip where we learned a lot and had some great experiences getting to know my wife's cousins better. It's also partly why I daydream, read fantasy and sci fi books, draw, write and build models so much. I have the urge to escape and travel in my own mind, even if I never leave the house.

Yay! I can’t wait to see your EEG Joyce! I did an EEG with Dario and I’m curious if we’ll see any similarities. I landed on Normalizing INFJ as my best fit type, so I’m sure there will be some differences with you being more Creative. My automatic mode is Normalizing, but Dario says I also match with Dominant and elements of Creative and Harmonizing.

Haha, yeah, I relate HARD to the not-being-clear thing. It's often a source of anxiety and/or frustration when I think I'm being crystal clear and the other party is like "??????????"

As for Fe/Ti, I think I switch between the 2. If you see me by myself, I’ll be more outwardly detached looking, even if I’m feeling warm. If I’m w/ people, I can seem to be in a friendly mood, but have inner turmoil. Academia? I used to be the type to dismiss it until I started working & attending SDSU. I respect it, but not to an extreme. It’ll impress me at first if someone attended a good university though. With generalizations, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more mindful about jumping to conclusions.

When Joyce talked about the "Te Shift" not just when taking the lead, but also when Standing Our Ground do our Voices get Hard and Intimidating, we're not Trying to Intimidate unless It's used to Defend Ourselves or Others, We can have Loud Lion Roar Voices when such a Function Activates. We become more Productive at the Behest of Warmth.

20:48 I always saw that as treating the "Fi problem" through Te, like the fact that I'm feeling something is still a fact and I can find a way to deal with it as if it was somewhat objective. I never realized the desire for speed that comes with it. It is quite interesting.

I find that ISFJ's don't generalize any more than everyone else generalizes! It's always great to see all these differing takes on personality types. I hope it makes people more aware in the world.

Wait! ISFP wanting/taking revenge. That is something new to me...I need an example. Revenge??🤔..but I want peace✌️ overall. How is it manifested? I genuinely want to know. Maybe I was typed wrong and I'm not an ISFP..or does it depend on enneagram?
@PriHL
@PriHL 5 месяцев назад
I have seen revenge being taken by a very unhealthy ISFP and it did a lot of damage. The thing is, no one thinks this person is an ISFP, they type them as INFP or ENFP because they're quite artistic but if you look closer, you can see that their artistic expression often lacks vision and substance but it's covered in nice and pseudo-poetic words, so people fall for it. And those people are not Ni doms (like myself), otherwise they'd see through it. Everytime this person comes up with something, I like it but it always feels that something really important is missing, there's no real message in there. But they claim to have this big vision of xyz but it's a vision that's regurgitating commonly known and quite stereotypical motifs, so it's not really a vision. This is how tertiary Ni manifests. They're also unhealthy at their Se, and with the Se being strong at the same time, that's where the reckless acting out comes from, the revenge and irresponsible actions. They claim that they want people to be happy but they don't know how it happens that ultimately they make them unhappy. This comes from their unhealthy Se. If you're a healthy ISFP, you won't have that kind of problems. I wouldn't doubt your type based on the fact that you're not seeking revenge. I'd see how you'd feel about revenge when someone really wrongs you (it has to be a really big thing), I hope you never need to find out though.

Aren't we all a little bit tired of the ESTJ example constantly being ''executive in a company''? Thats so one dimensional and as an ESTJ I always find my self not being able to extract as much from these videos cause the way people (even experts) talk about us is like we're a charicature. They just skim over the ESTJ as being nasty and in positions power.
@JoyceMeng22

Yeah, absolutely! And I think the best way to correct misinformation in the community is to inform people about what the type is actually like, as the type itself. If you want to be a guest on Type Talks and explain what it's really like to be an ESTJ, I'd be more than happy to have you on. My email is joycemeng22@gmail.com if you want to reach out to me.

I don’t believe Dario Nardi is an INTJ. You just have to look at his facial animation and the way he talks to see that he is using different functions. I mean for example put him on your INTJ panel and just see how he doesn’t fit in. He is way different. I think he’s an ENFP.

If I remember correctly, his mother is an INFJ and his sister an ENFP (lucky guy!), which is why he might remind you a bit of those two NF types. He also used to attend acting classes taught by an INFJ to work on his public speaking. Finally, unfortunately a lot of us, INTJs, are enneagram 5s and so those individuals will be rather unanimated and their manner of speaking more concise, which is where our reputation of being 'calm and collected' might come from. He's clearly not an enneagram 5 but he's definitely an INTJ.

Anyone can get excited about a topic and be more animated in discussion. This would be like saying I'm NOT an ENFP because when I sit in church I'm very quiet and reserved and barely speak. A single interaction does not an MBTI type make.
