The stock prop is a 4-blade 6" prop. I'm not sure of the pitch but it likes like approx. 3" I'd like to test a 7x3 prop just to see.

I just saw $98 price on Banggood with your link. Did 3s get ruled out on this plane? If so, I'm ready to get more props and batteries.

I think I will eventually upgrade it for 3S as well as 2S but I've got to purchase more Gyros, Receivers, and ESCs first ;-) It does have very good performance on 2S with that 7x5 Prop. $98 is a steal IMO.

Have you seen the new XK A300 BiPlane? Same motor as the A280 and swinging a 2 blade prop. I wonder what size it uses? I ordered a couple 7x5 and 7x4 props for mine. I swear mine just seems so underpowered with this stock prop, so i hope these props wake it up!

Yes, the A300 looks nice. I hope they used the same gyro the A280 has. The 7x5 prop provides the best performance of all the props I've tested and much better than the stock prop. If you've watched any of the flight videos I've posted using the 7x5 prop you can see how aerobatic it is.

@@ant-man1131 I just modified the spinner to fit the 7x5 prop. I have not purchased a new spinner.

I just flew mine about 10 minutes ago.In 3d mode i can not get it to nose down when flying.what can i do to fix this problem.

You might try raising the tail of the plane up a bit when powering on the plane. Sometimes that works for me. If you don't have enough elevator authority you can adjust the linkage to provide more movement of the elevator. There is a High/Low Rate switch and sometimes I forget to switch into High Rate. Lastly, if you have radio trim for the elevator you might try adjusting mechanically and removing the radio trim. I had the same issue with the QF009 SU35 recently and that fixed the issue for me.

Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the battery to a 1300mah one by making some space in the battery compartment

I'm sure it's possible but it might be too heavy with a 1300mah LIPO. I use a 2S 550mah LIPO that fits nicely in the battery compartment and puts the CG where it needs to be.

Hey man who's it going just put the 7×5 E 2 blade props on and I was wondering if you used a hex shaped oring to go on the shaft and lock on? I used the regular o rings that cam with the props and I put 3 on and with the help of the spinner they feel snug and the prop isn't slipping but I would feel better if I could glue a hex shape "that matches the motor shaft" to the inside of the prop? Any suggestions? Oh its for the xk a280 P51-D MUSTANG 👍🏼✌🏼

No, I just use the standard spacers and it snugs down nice and tight. I haven't had any issues. You're going to like the performance with that prop ;-)

@theoztreecrasher2647 thanks for the info much appreciated even though I got a snug fit I'm still a little nervous lol I will give this a try I really wish the center of the 2 bladed 7.5mm prop was slotted a bit to better fit the motor shaft and if a circular hole was needed for it you have the option to just drill it out but....👍🏼✌🏽

So you’re NOT making the propeller square and sliding it down the stock shaft? Your just putting it on and tightening it up to the point it connects to the hex shaft without going over it??

I recieved my props today!!!! Do i need to purchase both of those adapters so that the props fit, or will either one do,? I like the look of yours in the background pic of this video!

If I remember correctly, I used (2) spacers, (1) in the back and (1) in the front. I ordered the ones that came with the spacers. I think I used a 6mm and a 5mm spacer. Fits well with those and you're going to love the performance of the 7x5 Prop.

Also.....I love that little xk a180f22 pusher and now I'm wanting an EDF jet and I've been looking at the UMX A10 by eflight because I'm limited on space and I fly in downtown Lexington,KY. I want something that's not to big and handles well. Your F16 that you made a "pusher" is just AWESOME!!!! What about the any Arrows or Motion RC jets? There 64mm F22 V2 looks nice but may be to much on the larger size.

@@ant-man1131 EDF Jets are fun but I like the pushers much better. Even the small 50mm EDF Jets I would not want to try and fly in a small space. I've often looked at the UMX planes and jets but they all seem to be made of EPS Foam which is fragile like Styrofoam.
