Thanks to you i have my favorite sub250g P51-D MUSTANG and i absolutely love how it flies it flies kinda heavy which i love because i feel more dialed in with it and she snaps with the best of them too lol

Nice flying and nailed the landing too, which often isn't easy with this small planes. They tip over very easily, usually.

Tried 4s gn3 power lipo 300 mah today sparingly with bursts of full throttle and wow what power. Also used 3d mode confidently for the first time and absolutely loved it, very easy to control with my stock transmitter, Then I went back to the 3s then 2s gn3 just in case, so far it's holding up 😅 My favourite prop plane loving it 😊

The only issue I am having using 3s and 4s is as the plane approaches 100 kmh sometimes starts wobbling from side to side, do you think its due to a slightly loose horizontal stabiliser or just not enough vertical stability through the vertical stabiliser to keep the plane stable ? Maybe this air frame just can't handle the extra speed 😅

@@michaelhoward4402 I think it's probably due to the gyro sensitivity. I've had a couple of significant wobbles on 2S when going full out and making an abrupt change in direction.

@@GroundControlRC I would suggest checking the board & servos. Any looseness of the board, or servos, could result in wobble

Could you please fly closer to the camera? I got tired of looking at a dot in the distance. I love the mods and tinkering you do with your planes. I'm much the same way.

Unfortunately, I don't have a camera operator that can zoom in on the plane and it's a small plane. It's closer than it appears. I do have a new action camera that I've used on some other flight videos so that will help in the future. Also, I have to watch out for people walking, jogging, biking, and driving down that road.

Finally got mine up,I’m flying with your prop mod,which is awesome ! (Didn’t even try the standard one) But am struggling trying to work out which mode it’s in,(standard TX) it’s annoying that they didn’t just use a 3 position switch,as pressing the buttons,once,twice etc is confusing and I’m never quite sure which mode I’m in,other than that it’s great,cheers from the uk .

That 7x5 Prop really makes it shine! I have the same problem with all the Modes even on my TX16S. I always put it into High-Rate Mode before I launch it and forgot to do that at the beginning of the flight ;-) After you've put some time on it you'll know which mode you're in just by the way it handles. Much Fun!

@@GroundControlRC An admission,it seemed like it had too much up elevator,tendency to climb,so on my second ‘flight’ I dialled in some down…as it turns out WAY TOO MUCH…I threw it and it started to dive,I was on full up,but only power would keep it up,it levelled at about 5 ft…it was on idiot mode so the turn radius was MASSIVE..it flew across our field,then the next,then another one,I’d say at least 4 football fields…but eventually it started to come back to our field in jaunt loop,unfortunately on that side of our field there is a dyke (like a levy) about six feet high,it flew straight into the top of it at WOT! I climbed down through a stream,then over the levy,then through the other stream…and it had hit a load a bramble bushes,I carefully extracted it with a broom…and it has a very small (almost unnoticeable) dent on ONE wings leading edge…other than that,it was fine,didn’t even break a prop ! I however got stung to bits on my hands and palms by early spring stinging nettles…the fizzing stays with you nearly a day !…It was one of THE most exciting moments I’ve ever had…and I ride dirt bikes. I flew it the next day and having partially got my head around the modes,and a re-adjustment of the elevator…it flew fantastically,on a hill,overlooking the sea,at sunset…cheers,it’s a GREAT plane,all the best from the UK.

Hi Bruce! Yes, the UMX P51 looks like a great plane and I almost pulled the trigger on one until I discovered it's made from EPS Foam. Unfortunately, that's the least durable foam I've seen so it was a pass for me on that one.

Understood as I have the UMX Air Tractor. But the 2S and 3S power is quite a bit better. And yes, a crash causes a need for repair but very easy with FoamTac or Foam 2 Foam. I'm an expert with those now! My Air Teactor has the right CG but still can't fly well, just dives. Most of the and full elevator doesn't keep it up. Going to try more weight in the tail.

Yes, I provide links to things in the Video Show Notes, when I remember to do so ;-) I've tested several props on this plane and the 7x5 thin electric 2-blade prop provides the best performance. Great plane, I'm enjoying it too. You've convinced me to try a transmitter upgrade but I'm overwhelmed by the options such as 4in1 vs ELRS. I'd like to pair it to this plane as well as Voltanex 768-1 Mustang, A300-Beech D17S and eachine mini warbirds if that's possible. Can you give me a starting point to learn all this? Thanks much.

I don't know much about ELRS except it's designed for better penetration for FPV flying and better range. I believe it needs to be supported by both the RX and the TX. Here is some info: www.expresslrs.org/hardware/hardware-selection/# I use a 4-in-1 Module in my TX as it supports so many protocols I can fly the vast majority of my RTF plane with my Radiomaster TX16S. Here is info on OpenTX and Multi-Module: Here is info on OpenTX and Multi-Module: www.open-tx.org/ www.multi-module.org/ I don't think the Volantex 750mm P51 RTF plane is supported by OpenTX, at least not the last time I checked. I always purchase the PNF or Kit versions of planes, when possible, so I can use the RX of my choice and know it will bind up to my TX16S. Most of the RTF planes I have are either supported by OpenTX / Multil-Module or have ports where an external RX can be installed. I'm not sure about the capability of the A300 Biplane but if I remember correctly you can add an SBUS RX. I hope that helps.

Being a fan of the Byme-A what are your thoughts on using one on a Tail Sitter VTOL do you think it would work using Hover mode for takeoff and landing?

Hum...I'm not sure, but with the plane and gyro in a vertical position for takeoff and landing it just might work. I believe ONLY the Byme-A V2 has the vertical mode. If you use it successfully let me know as that sounds pretty awesome ;-)

Hi Connor! Here is what the manual states: The flight control system adds two receiver conversion socks, 5V is suitable for Futaba (S-BUS)J and other receivers with S-Bus ports, 3V is suitable for DSM receivers. I have a multi-protocol TX so no external RX is required for me but it states it supports it.
