I think sobbing might be better than the loud sex or partying you normally hear in hotels. You hear weird shit in fully booked hotels, thats why i like to go to out of the way hotels, so i can get a room away from everyone else. Those rooms can also be cheaper, especially if your willing to take a basement room.

Ive become addicted to these creepy pastas! I listen to 2 or 3 a day now and I especially love the ones with this structure. Everything is explained in the end and its got a full beginning middle and end. Ive heard far to many that abruptly stop on a cliffhanger as if theres to be a sequel. The ones that play out like this are the ones I prefer! 10/10

Terrified bewilderment is better than someone sitting down and literally spelling out the answer, even if it's only a partial one.

I had issues with the keys being up in the beginning of the story. If they really weren't allowing use of the 8th floor and even go so far as to remove the button. They wouldn't have the 8th floor keys hanging out where anybody could see them. They'd be in an office or something to solve them a great number of complaints and issues. The secret stairway was story breaking for me as well. It would have been realistic if he found a secret door on a landing half way between 9 and 7. It makes it more plausible. otherwise he's in one of those reality bending effects that are problematic to the rest of the story.

Yelp Review: 3/5 stars. The desk clerk is very nice, but a bit nervous and scatterbrained. The rooms are okay; clean, not fancy, but the walls are very thin so you can hear people below you. So I heard the moaning and wailing of the undead beneath me all night long, and didn’t sleep. Missed my wake-up call.

This was definitely a good one, sooo much story here you could make a movie 🎥 from it. I'm so curious about the other rooms and how it remains a mystery that everyone knows to the day and the main protagonist finding out everything like a mystery thriller and me understanding how this has endless possibilities and point of views. I thought the story was going to end with him trapped in the dark room. Then something would cause pain and terror which would make him scream and "groan".....then he hears pounding on the ceiling and "hey buddy! Is everything alright". Kind of like he's stuck in a loop or something.
