IIRC, Manon is very strong for a female and is at a higher relative level compared to Ollie (correct me if I got the wrong presenter - I can never keep their names straight), so it wasn't that uneven of a contest. However, your statement about women being stronger in lower body strength/weight (I presume you mean power/weight) is simply wrong. Google "FTP table". You'll find that the nth percentile male rider will typically be ~13% to ~25% more powerful than the comparable female rider (depending on percentile and duration). Also, if you really did mean strength/weight (even though this doesn't matter for cycling because, well, gears) it's not even close. Go Google "squat weight as a percentage of body weight." The difference for a given level and weight is massive with the male being expected to lift almost 50% more than a comparable female based on a couple points I tried.
