The 911 K Series Swap Kit 

I have a 987 with a bad engine, I could be very interested in a kit! Glad to see there is good progress happening!

Can't wait to see more on the boxster. Looking into several options for mine since I know my factory 2.7 is going to go eventually.

Once done with the 997 kit, you should build one for the 996. I think there would be a lot of demand for it.

Where should someone look for a 911 with a blown motor?

This is so awesome, so many of us gearheads would love a 911 but prices have been driven up by non-enthusiasts, inflation (and possibly greed) this can make it much more affordable and reliable!

I like the updated manifold, the top mount wastegate would make exhaust routing straighter, the 996 also has a rubber coolant hose where your filter is close to the metal pipe, changing the hose could possibly give more room for a filter and shroud, that intake plenum is beautiful as well !!! Love the idea of keeping a Bosch throttle body. An install video, would greatly appreciated as well 👍👍👍

The K is a better engine than the non-GT/non-turbo 911engines. Worth the swap. I have a 911TT.

A 3.6 is a $15,000-$25000 engine a GT3 is more like $40,000. You can buy this great chasis on the cheap amd swap it for way less if you got the skill. Now the ECU is the ticket here. Mechanical is easy, CANBUS is the boogie man under the mechanics bed😂😂😂

Missed the boat on these. 996’s manuals that aren’t ratted out are like $30k to start. The Boxster kit is our only hope for a low budget option.

I'm optimistic about this kit! But would there be enough room to checking oil level, oil changes, changing spark plugs and etc. seems right above the engine. None the the less it looks good.

Spark plugs look fun, it can be done I assume? Really cool to bring the link ECU with all the canbussed sniffed and set up! It’s hard to swap cars now days unless you just gut the dashboard. Love this and all bolt in. Never liked porches but may want to swap one now! I bet the turbo k series is lighter than the NA H6? Retains AWD in cars with that right?

Kswap 911 is where it's at cuz you can reuse the porsche gearbox which is already strong. Already not a fan of the boxster kswap cuz the honda box isn't strong.

Doesn't really seem like an "upgrade" IMO, K series is a great engine, but you're starting with an already high performance car and kinda going sideways/backwards in terms of cubic capacity/power/engine(again, IMO), I'm assuming its getting a stupidly big turbo put on it to bring the power into something more inline with what the car is, that ways its not a downgrade, but the thing about big turbo's and small CC engine is the powerband is so narrow its difficult to use in a track situation because your going to want to steer the car with the throttle at a point and its going to be really difficult when the engines going from 400 to 600bhp in less than 750rpm.

Let me get this straight. You removed the flat six so you could put a Honda four-cylinder in the car? Ok I feel like the 3.6 997 Engine is more of a fun rev happy engine anyways, the 3.8 m96/05 was never as enthusiastic.
