In this video I'm at the Abarth Works Museum in Lier, Belgium. This collection of cars is absolutely brilliant. Let's have a look at the whole collection - some of the cars are for sale, as there are plans for a new museum.
Taken from www.automuseums.info:
"Guy Moerenhout was one of the very last Abarth rally racers, supported by Fiat Auto Belgio. He has been the owner of a Car & Tuning Workshop since 1971, and decided in 1997 to let everyone enjoy the benefit of his experience and knowledge about all matter Abarth. Since 2007 he is the proud owner of the 'Abarth Works Museum' in Lier. In Guys museum and garage you will find special Abarth Cars like: Fiat Abarth 124 Rally, Fiat Abarth 1300/124, X1/9, Fiat Abarth 695 Esse Esse, Fiat Abarth 124 Group IV, Ritmo, Spider, Zagato, Dubble Bubble, Scorpione, Simca, Pininfarina, Monomille, Periscope, Gaminni, Jolly, Simca 2000 cc, Lada 1500, etc..."
Check out Guys stunning collection - and by the way, he is a super nice chap!

Most probably it is. The Museum is the Abarth Works Museum in Lier, Belgium. It's a stunning collection, but at the moment they are in the process of building a hole new museum place for it.

I love that you walked right past the greatest Abarth ever made, barely caught it on camera, and failed to mention it... I am talking of course about the half million dollar Abarth OT Periscopio at 36:52... Thanks for the tour either way hahaha. Please work on not spinning the camera when you do these videos. It is nauseating.

That is, coz I'm far from being an Abarth expert - but more importantly, I was way more interested in almost everything else, especially the Ladas and Scaldias. Actually, the super rare Scaldia might be far less expensive, but it is the car I've actually wanted to see 😊 About the camera. Hm, it's how I like it - and I sort of stopped YT anyway

@@petrolpunx I didn't mean to be discouraging in any way with my comment. I really enjoyed to video and I loved the tour... It was great to see all the amazing cars and I watched start to finish even when I got dizzy hahah. I hope you keep making videos. If for no other reason than to share with people who may never have have a chance to learn of something new without someone sharing. Best wishes and a sincerest thank you for taking me on a tour of the Abarth Museum.

@@petrolpunx Oh ya the OT Periscopo is one of the all time great race cars, and perhaps the greatest 60's sports car ever make. in 1300cc, 1600cc, and 2000cc trim all made more than 100hp/L on carbs in the 60's... Magnificent! It won the sports car championship in each class and was only unseated after 2 years in the 2L class by the 10 million dollar Ferrari Dino 206sp. But because the 50 cars that exist change hands so rarely they were forgotten by the masses and fell behind the financial market. The only reason they are still the expensive car they are is that they are still the best 60's race car money can buy. Frankly they are a cheep pass to some of the most prestigious car events in the world in a car that is cooler than anything...1400lbs, rear engine, gated-shifter, 60's Italian sports racer! It should be valued among the giants but no... I just love it.

@@shawnmiller3338no worries Shawn! I actually love some good criticism! And it's actually interesting to get some more info about some of the cars. This Museum is way too much cool stuff, and it sort of cough me of guard 😊. I'm sort of stopping YT because it's just very very time consuming. So, there will be more videos, but less than I've planned when I started it.

@@petrolpunx Since you mentioned that the museum is selling some of its inventory I would bet they would help you to do a series of videos spotlighting some of their "gems" individually. No one makes content on classic Abarths so you could carve a small niche for yourself with just the cars in that collection. Who knows it could lead to bigger deals with other dealers.... Just a thought.

I’d have loved to watch your video. However, all that wildly swinging camera work made it unwatchable within the first minute or so.

Thanx for the feedback. So I will try to remember that, making the next videos.
