My grandma used to make tuna melts all the time. Her recipe was very different and included black olives, but she cooked with the same joy you have! I remember one time, she made too much filling and ran out of bread, so we put the rest of the tuna mix in hotdog buns. I bet she didn’t know then that I’d remember this so fondly decades after losing her. Thanks for the sweet reminder of my childhood, and for sharing another winning recipe! You’re always so fun to watch :)
I absolutely love reading comments like these. I genuinely aim to invoke these very feelings when cooking these recipes. I’m so glad that you feel this way from watching and I truly appreciate your support!! 🔥💕💕💕
OK, it’s been many many years, but you just reminded me how good a hot tuna melt is I used to have to travel from the mainland US to Aruba and the other islands quite often on business and there was this little place and the woman who owned it s Mom would make me hot tuna melts with mango habanero hot sauce for lunch and dinner dinner during my entire stay. I bypassed the fancy restaurants I could’ve eaten at and just had those spicy tuna melts.. OMG, so good on a hot Tuna melt! That girl, thank you so much for reminding me of this tasty treat.
