I mean... spiced cremes... really? They couldnt just say the words ice cream... could they? Its a terrible play on words and thats just the start. Why not call it something like... i dont know, tooba candy. You could say it is made from the tooba fruit that grows on the planet locally. And since the lesbian space witches dont look like thet ever leave. It could give more "flavor" to the setting and tell you, WITHOUT TELLING YOU, that this "coven" is secluded, isolated and is self reliant. So tooba fruit is made into candy. Where do they get tooba? From the planet. Why? Because it grows everywhere. Why make it into candy? For the children. But why not something else? Becayse they RARELY if ever leave the planet they have colonized. Its a small, tiny bit of world building that WHILE not completely neccessery to the plot it DOES add FLAVOR to the world and the story they are trying to tell. The devil is in the details. Or whatever. Also im going to try to work on a word play type thing. What about Sap cakes? Its kinda lame i know. But THEY could say that they gather it from a certain OR certain trees and turn it into various sweet stuff. THIS could also show how they are able to FEED everyone. They gather what they need from nature and reuse it. You could even show a small farm or green house or whatever. I dont know. Its just... so stupid
Harvey's former assistant and KK: the Force is female The Force is knocking women up, so actually the Force is male. As for why the writing sucks, Headland wrote it. Her prior claim to fame was scheduling young women then escorting them into Weinstien's office. Anyone that expected coherent storytelling after listening to her speak in the last 5 or 6 years needs to lay off the spice cream.
The honestly I think it's like dathomir where they use male slaves for breeding, but I guess the mom had her eggs fertilized inside the other woman for some reason, thus making sense that one "carried" them but the other "created" them. Just a theory since these women got to come from SOMEWHERE. So you have a surrogate mother which fixes the dialog, the male slave explains why no father, the and them being TWINS explains the specialty

Yeah... "i wont let you leave the coven... so instead i will KILL YOU!" WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? you know that they will try EVERY trick in the BOOK to get you to feel bad for the "evil" twin. Not to qoute star wars here but, its not gonna be close to: "From my perspective the jedi are evil!" Nah. You are just a psycho evil twin. She is EVIL. No question. No redemption. Just put her down.
The ego and insecurities of Lesley Headland, ladies and gentlemen, for only 23 million dollars. "I'm an evil lesbian who helped Harvey Weinstein, so I'll crap all over a franchise that's suffered enough, villainize it's heroes and heroines and claim there is no good and evil." Also those kids were waaaaay too old to bring into the Jedi order
Nothing wrong with lesbian black witches, or women. The problem is when you create a show / characters and have your man hating D E I agenda at the forefront. The characters arent women because theyre women, theyre women because they arent white men. (side note - Unfortunately furiosa copped flak it shoudlnt have. Ripley, beatrix kiddo , furiosa. They are real women characters , not fake disney activist crap. Remember the shoehorned lesbian kiss in that last star wars movie? Im offended on behalf of all lesbians , and im a straight man. Its insulting to all. 'Carol' for eg., the Cate Blanchett lesbian movie, is proper movie about lesbians. Thumbs up. This disney & other D E I stuff is fake plastic horrendous garbage by terrible racist & misguided activists that needs to be destroyed with EXTREME prejudice.

*What could’ve been:* ✅ Sith perspective story similar to Darth Plagueis or Darth Bane novels; Sith warrior and inquisitor stories from SWTOR. ✅ Mature and grounded story similar to Andor but with the mysticism of the Dark Side. In-depth look at Sith philosophy as we follow a master/apprentice two vs an entire galaxy story. ✅ Well-written Sith protagonists part of a two-person organization in a thousand-year conspiracy to upset the Galactic status-quo. ✅ New Star Wars timeline. Reality: ❌ The Acolyte…. “The power of one, the power of two. The power of many.”

"...but but but Spice is harmless, it's natural, it's from the Earth, it should be legalized, it's not addicting, it would never act as a gateway drug."
Trinity says "you can't deny us to test the children" and also "with your permission of course" LMFAO bro she says you have to let us, if it's ok. You can't say no, unless you don't want us to. 😂😭 I hate this shit so much....
It reminds me of a police interrogation where they tell the perp "You aren't under arrest. The door is unlocked. You can leave at any time". And the moment the perp decides to leave they are arrested by the cops.
They went from contradicting themself in the same episode to contradicting themself in the same sentence. They can't help themself, they're f*minists, contradiction is at the heart of their creed.
They went from contradicting themself in the same episode to contradicting themself in the same sentence. They can't help themself, they're fem*n*sts, contradiction is at the heart of their creed. It seems that this has been deleted the first time, which actually proves the point I made quite well.
I had to pause and run it back when she said that. Made no damn sense 😂. If it was a matter of appeasing Queen Mother then there should’ve been an exchange between her and Sol or a lowering of her eyes to indicate that she’s just saying this to keep things copacetic.
So, like DC and Marvel, now, the company hired self absorbed, pseudo activists, to write lesbian fan fiction, and pass it off as official content. Just my two cents, I'm one of the people they claim to be fighting for. I'm a black man (though, being straight, and not having dreads, I probably lose points), and when they start screaming about doing things for people of color, I end up cringing. What you could do is tell the story, write a compelling, or at least competent character, first, who happens to be black. And retire the standard hairstyle, but that part is a nitpick. And for people who claim to have no representation, gay characters are shown pretty much everywhere. Pick a newer show, any network, any newer Netflix or Hulu, show, movies, comics, and now it's bleeding into games, everything has gay characters, especially lesbians. It would be harder to find a story that doesn't have them. It was never anything I was interested in seeing, but if they were written better, they might've had a better chance. But they barge into story, fundamentally change all the rules, tell the audience it isn't for them, and call them bigots, on the way out. I've been a Star Wars fan, for over 30 years. My mom got me into it. Surprise. A southern black lady liked Star Wars. Who knew? But bottom line, what they're doing now feel so far removed, from Star Wars. It doesn't feel like Star Wars. And it's a standard thing, to the "it's time for something different" crowd. If you want to add to a series, you can't subtract what made it what it was. If you want to write something different, do so, elsewhere. Stop making it all about you and your friends. If this was really needed or desired, the numbers wouldn't be as low as they are. EVERY fan that you've chased away isn't an istaphobic bigot. You've just removed what people loved, about a series, or set of characters.
After watching The Acolyte Episode 03, I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.
Seems dangerous in the world where people do horrible things to each other every day. I do not even see them as wrong. I see them as seriously broken on the mental level. Because this opinion is dangerous. They use it to promote laws, regulations, which is where were arive to cities with uncontrolled crime. These ideas influence how we live, and not in a good way.
@@victormercado278Except in this case it wasn’t a gas leak. The evil kid started a fire with a small piece of paper which burnt the stone building down. And the witches died of cringe.
@@victormercado278 I really shouldn’t comment as I haven’t seen the show and I am not a fan of the franchise. But I will anyway. The whole thing seems tragic. Especially for the fans of Star Wars who are 1. Watching their franchise being destroyed by progressive activists. 2. Being portrayed as bigots if they don’t like what is happening.
Crazy how they try so so hard not to be racist and they just come full circle making 2 black kids grow up with no father and around drugs with the Star Wars logo slapped on
😂 everyone is watching these videos instead of watching the show 20:17 I really like a lot of this dude’s takes, humor, full break-downs, etc, but this moment is a perfect jab that I haven’t heard anyone else point out yet… because ultimately these people not only lack the imagination or competence to create something worthwhile for fans with MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but also somehow are enriching themselves while burning this franchise to the ground 😂 21:01 also Fboy Chewbaka got me, too 24:42 spice cream 😂
@Stark-Cinema They're boycotting having YOUR babies. Fertility isn't an issue in Third World countries, just Western and Eastern First World because women are given a choice and they choose not to give birth to you
As a former kid... And a sibling... Me and my older sister fought like hell... Even when she beat me i didnt want to k!ll her. Firstly that didnt cross my mind. Secondly i thouhht only Jason and freddy did k!llings.
Im wondering how the heck the Padawan is the one who killed himself out of guilt after secluding for 10 years. He wasn't even in charge and was the one assaulted by the witches...
"What the thread has joined together no one can separate." sounds awefully similar to "What God has joined together let no man put asunder" when it comes to marriage. Is Disney seriously marrying two sisters together? 🤢
Right on stark I can't believe Disney makes captain America black makes a whole season talking about how hard it is to be a black captain America and then they put a bag over his head like wtf.
It may be hard being black in America but imagine being a giant mega rich multinational corporation trying to appease the Chinese government so you can make a bit more money
I thought that, but it occured to me that she wouldn't be able to wear a helmet because of the horns. After seeing a flickering fire in space and a "candle" catch stone on fire, it is entirely possible now.
@@LurkerBelow The way I see it is, shes pissed because the coven gave up her child which she made a fuss about having carried to the jedi so she killed all of them then shes got a chip on her shoulder with the jedi for taking her baby so shes going after them with her remaining child. Its all so easy and dumb it fits right in with shit like you said, the fire in space, so how could it not be right haha,.
They Jedi wouldn't train children this old because of the twins. This allows the twins to be shoved into canon with them being the answer to the question "Why don't they take older kids?"
The only way to salvage the "thread" nonsense will be to later reveal these witches as a cargo cult with ignorant superstitions about the force. Long shot?
@@PeopleRTheProblem Anakin was born from the force. Vader was born of manipulation by a sith. Just like these lesbos like manipulating children.... I see no issue~
So the evil Jedi colonizers abuse the force to kill people. But we the superior-but-also-somehow-oppressed witches learn to mercifully pull the thread not to kill, but to unalive people. And thus, the semantics war began...
The “with your permission” line was given offscreen. Was probably thrown in at the end- because it makes absolutely no sense why they would allow them to be tested after what we saw. 🤔🙄
Everything about this exchange indicates the writers really wanted to “go there” by making the Jedi the clear bad guys, but then someone or some group decided it needed to be more ambiguous, so they decided to “fix it” in post. It literally just screams, “We watched it back and wanted to change it, but we couldn’t afford to reshoot with our $23M budget, so we’ll just throw in some ADR to clean it up.”
Yes there really something wrong with that exchange. I agree had to edit in “with your permission “. Makes no sense they would allow the test. I the whole episode was heavily edited.
“Your enemies will not warn you of an attack!” We have enemies? We fight these enemies? So WE DO use the Thread as a weapon then! That is something we acknowledge we do!
I actually think we're going to get an even stupider explanation for the witches all being dead. It's gonna turn out they accidentally killed themselves trying to do something to the Jedi or something like that. And Mae will have been sent by her mother with the spikes.
Ah yes. Immaculate Force conception. Lets make the *unique* defining event that shaped the most significant events of the first 40 years of Star Wars something any backwater group of idiots can pull off. Anakin's life defeated a civil war, overthrew a galaxy, wiped out the Jedi, then overthrew the brutal empire he helped establish... and these two arent even a footnote of knowledge to anyone in the future!? Way to make the miracles mundane, Disney... 😑.

"Luminous being are we, not this crude matter" the single most forgotten line in star wars also happens to be its most important. Sad how no one talk about this. Its the most inclusive thing star wars has said yet disney is too pig headed to use that line to their advantage. We all in the galaxy are the same luminous beings surrounded and binded by the force.
one of the many problems with the the writing, is that these people think that a 'strong' character mean better, superior, always right, never wrong. and the need to be those things, which is actuall the opposite of a 'strong' character.
I noticed something like that when watching the trailer for that cringe "M Powered" show about all the female characters that were showing up in the MCU. It was all about "seeing powerful women on screen" and things like that. The Captain Marvel movies was marketed as being about the most powerful MCU character. Jodie Turner described her character in the Acolyte as a "powerful leader". It's like they think the power is the point but in reality it's what someone _does_ with their power that matters. I haven't read Superman comics my whole life because he's the most powerful. What makes Superman Superman is his heart.
@@BiggieTrismegistus If you take away all his powers, Superman remains a hero. You take away all the power from Captain Marvel (as those films portray) and all you have is a bully.
"I give you, you and you give me, me". That's some Two Ronnie's level writing there even though, sadly it's entirely unintentional. "It's goodnight from me..." , "..and it's goodnight from him"
Imagine knowing so little about Star Wars and writing that you think "We don't need a man to get pregnant" is a banger, when you can get two billion battle-ready clones for a bargain price two planets over.
Yeah, but the bargain price is because it's a huge batch order with recurring purchases built in. You go there wanting one or two very specific clones made and suddenly the price per unit goes through the roof, even if they're not training or equipping them... I need a lot of mooks alright?
@@Sorain1Price wasn't the argument here. If the tech exists, with which you can fast-grow 2 billion clones and alter their DNA so they age quicker, it would be weird, if your local fertility clinic down the hyperlane isn't able to mix up two womens DNAs and artificially inseminate one of them. Doesn't matter if your local space witch can afford that, making force-babies with a partner isn't really that big of a thing anymore.
@@Sorain1 The point was, that the technology exists and seems to be available for most of the galaxy and that you neither need a man nor a woman in Star Wars, not that things get per piece cheaper when you produce the in mass.
I had to watch the Robot Chicken and Family Guy Star Wars episodes while rocking back and forth on the floor in the fetal position just to clean my mind of this garbage that is the Acolyte. The best way to describe this shows writing is #spacefire 🤢🤮
Like a Good neighbor State Farm is there! - Unless of course your home was insured using flame retardant materials like stone and durasteel, but somehow still lights up like a pile of sawdust. You just know State Farm will investigate the crap out of you in that case.
Yknow it's honestly kinda impressive how every new Marvel and Star Wars show manages to be worse than the previous despite everyone thinking the previous was already terrible. It's like Disney unlocked a bottomless barrel of shit.
Thr "Force" is like a religion and people have different interpretations of religion, so calling the force a thread isn't really the problem. The real problem is as you said, theor hypocrisy
This was fantastic. How many times did you watch it to come up with all of these observations? I'm so sorry you had to endure through it but I guess it was worth it for us. Your analysis is much better to watch than the episode itself. Well done.
To argue against the reviewer here: It is not *necessarily* a contrivance or coincidence that they 1) have twins and 2) reference "power of 2" in their chant. The chant probably did indeed precede the birth of the twins. But the "twins" may have been the main goal of their cult, long before they were actually conceived.
In defense of Master Seoul (seems a bit racist...) he may not have become powerful enough to force/thread save any falling victims yet... Show looks incredibly stupid, they're spending a lot of money to make us all bored of Star Wars. I'm sure watching these videos is the better option by far! Thank you.
As a black man, you pointing out that John Boyega issue hit me really hard. After this shitty episode and for the fact that Disney panders to racism. I am not giving another dime to disney until this changes.
9:13 yeah, it makes sense, but it's just thw hypocrisy that makes ot worse. She says the thread is not something to wield and not a weapon, wield is just a fancy way to say use, so telekinesis on objects, force pushing, MIND RAPING A 16YRS PADAWN and giving birth to two kids the "thread", is wielding the force (fxck thread). Edit: and condemning the jedi for wielding the force, while doing the same.
If you think the writers baked in some half cocked contrived writing for the whole "power of one power of two power of many" bs youre giving them W A Y too much credit.
None of the Disney Star Wars shows care to use any type of basic logic to form a story. Here's something they'd write - A jedi lands on a planet, there's a sith there, they fight and the jedi gets injured. the sith then leaves, and the jedi follows him. now they meet on a different planet and the sith holds a hostage to get away again. the jedi pursues. the sith leads the jedi into a trap and the jedi kills the sith - end of series. Nothing is connected by reasoning or logic, it's all just stuff they throw out for that specific episode, and they don't care whether it relates. They also hilariously keep forgetting how rocks, caves, stone, space, air, water, etc... how all that works. Set stones on fire, sure. Have a cave that magically teleports people, whatever. Have a ship the size of 3 buildings, but the Jedi camp outside, why not? it's all stupid and no thought.
So.... lesbians are another name for Canadians? Ha ok. Now i get the smoke alarm beep reference Bet there was not a charged battery in the whole house.... you know... cuz no men to change it.... non melenated men that is
Man, it is like these people actually think that you are in the right not matter what awful things you do if you happen to have lady parts, huh ? They already tried to make us like that awful woman from the Obi Wan show and now this ?
Did anyone read this script? Do they have editors, consultants, anyone who took and english class in college? 200 million! 200 million! I can't believe how poorly this was executed. Did none of the actors see any of this coming? Everyone making this film had no problems with the dialogue or fractured story? This is an amazing failure. Only thing to be gained is hopefully disney learned something. But that seems to be asking alot.
the only other witch i noticed with markings is the twi’lek she has marks on her lekku also did you notice the cloaked figure behind the zabrak witch at the ceremony i think it might be the sith (it could also be the old lady)
Do you know what? All of this LGBT rubbish wouldn't matter half as much if the production wasn't so amateurish, the crappy plot, and scripts that read like they were written by a ten year old.
The whole negotiation scene is a posterchild for the idea that a writer can only write someone as smart as they are. An idiot writes a conversation between two idiots who are so idiotic, they think they're being intelectual.
5:07 Did they seriously call their version of ice cream, space cream? That’s basically the Team Four Star DBZ abridged joke of just taking stuff from our world and attaching space to it to make it the alien version. What’s next? Are they going to play at the spaceground? Are they going to share their experiences on spacebook? Are they going to go shopping at spacemart? HAVE SOME CREATIVITY!
At 12:00 you hit on one of the stupidest things in this pile of stupidity. What is the "power of two"? In both of the push demonstrations it's Aniseya whose power triumphs, so it must be her power that she's talking about - but she is ONE person, so it's the "power of one" in both cases, isn't it? Why does she call it the "power of two"? If I hook up my truck to a pair of trailers, I don't have the power of two trucks. And....those two witches were trying their best to NOT be pushed over, but they failed? So they were using the "power of two" - assuming they're not incompetent. And the "power of two" was weaker than the "power of one" ? This is sheer stupidity. The writers have been chosen for their gender, their race, their preferences etc.... not for their skill. Indeed, they are ideologically opposed the idea of skill. They prefer to believe that everybody is equally skilled and interchangeable. And, don't forget, there are species of bird that can count like so : " one.... two..... many." Leslye Headland has written her coven of adepts to be as smart as a bird.
Light side? The only known 'use force to make life' is a darkside power and is basically sith alchemy (that convenient 'does whatever the plot needs' power.)
I am not against black actors either, but when they are not pushed only because of political agenda, which is IMMEDIATELY seen on the screen. I adored the hell out of Sgt. Apon from Aliens, I very much liked Lando Calrissian from Star Wars, I like almost every character Denzel Washington creates. Why? Because their screen appearance was/is natural. It wasn’t pushed. Same goes for “strong female characters”. These today’s SFC’s have nothing on Ellen Ripley, private Vasquez or Lara Croft. Space witches? Mae, I am your mother. Really?
Not sure how you can push thing by pulling a thread. You'd need a pully. The Force is just that...a force that can move shit. A thread is an object. Objects need a force in order to move. Whatever. Chicks
I respect you're able to provide biting and funny commentary without being crass like Drinker and others or having trashy, tabloidesque thumbnails like Nerdrotic
Im sorry but this is the first ever star wars related thing I have ever watched. And I would like to know why people doesn't like this show? (Just asking, not looking for hate)
For a starting point. One them creating life with the force reduces the value of Darth Vader who was an iconic character and who's immaculate conception was a huge deal. The jedi are presented as child predators (deliberately according to the show runners comments) and the villains of the peace. It invalidates a lot of established lore about the light and dark side of the force. It ignores basic laws of physics (fire in space). A lightsabre injury . . . walk it off, a knife you die. There's a lot more.
So Disney won't promote certain actors or scenes that might lose them money, but they'll dump millions into a poorly written dumpster fire of a series? How times have changed it used to be that companies were founded to MAKE money!
"with your permission of course," is classic manipulator behavior. If the Jedi could have killed the witches, permission wouldn't be freely given, would it? But then they could go back later and say "you gave us permission." This is undue influence. Disney gets kind of lost in the sauce here. It seems like they're trying to make the Jedi look bad, but then by "asking permission," they're apparently unwittingly making the Jedi look even worse when they may have been trying to do the opposite? I can't tell who's supposed to be the good side and the bad side. That wouldn't normally be a problem in realistic media where shades of gray are more like real life, but this is Star Wars. The central theme is the balance of good vs. evil.
If in a future episode we get told the Jedi killed all the witches and thats why the evil sister is trying to kill them (who will be redeemed of coarse she's black and female) im calling BS on it because even those young girls would be able to notice lightsaber damage to the bodies , you know with them not having heads or arms or their insides been all over the floors . I expect you would remember seeing something like that !
Think it was a very young Palpatine (mystery red saber guy) who took the knowledge of creating life from lesbians. Killed them. He did Force rape Shmii Skywalker thus, creating Anakin.
I've watched at least twenty reviews on this one episode. I rate yours in the top three. Subscribed! Thank you! p.s. : One thing for certain after this, I will never watch 99% of anything that ever comes out of Hollywood again and will instead get all my laughs from the reviews on them instead that absolutely shred these shows to tiny pieces.
