Torbin is the greatest Jedi ever. While meditating and doing nothing for 16 years, he was still able to rank up TWICE from padawan to knight to master. Kind of like Kathleen Kennedys career.

So basically the Jedi are murderers and human traffickers in Disney Stars Wars. Well considering Harvey Weinstein's former personal assistant is the showrunner it makes sense.

Just so everyone knows House of the Dragon has episodes longer than 60 minutes with hundreds of extras every single episode and it just barely costs more. No reused footage. Tons of practical and special effects. The actors on HOTD have far better contracts. HBO contracted out linguists just to make sure the show had logically consistent fictional languages. They hired Medeival professionals to help create accurate clothing and armor. Disney needs to be financially investigated next year. Where is this money going? Im not joking

Sol was just so uncomfortable in this episode. Just so creepy having this much older man have an obsession with a random girl he saw. They really had to ruin the only good part remaining of Acolyte like that?

It's almost like the writers have no idea what the Jedi are.

A Grace Randolph heel turn years in the making. Grace is the true Sith master at the end of the Acolyte. She fooled us all. Great character development. She deserves an Oscar.

I love how Sol’s immediate reaction to the Mother is to stab the cloud of dust that she turns into. And it f***ing works💀

Wait so the counsel knows they were there for the twins? Ok so, Sol brings one of the twins back and the counsel doesn’t think to find out what happened? Sol and the rest of them didn’t find the need to tell the counsel that the twins were born using some dark side of the force like powers most likely from the night sisters? The Jedi who were on that mission are dying left and right and the counsel doesn’t think to investigate the issue? This is just terrible writing n lore breaking in itself with the whole virgin thing, even tho Disney did that with the last skywalker already.

I can’t believe Leslye has the audacity to compare this travesty to Rashomon. Did she ever see Rashomon?

Wait so Sol gets instantly "attached" to someone? Like the exact opposite of what Jedi do?? Sol is Sith now The whole group did this and hid it? So the Jedi are all no different from sith now. They worry about themselves rather than the selfless will of the force. Incredible

Yeah, wtf? Torbin went to the witches cause he was homesick? And Sol killed the mother more or less deliberatly? And the rest of the witches all unisono controlled the wookie and just died when Indara severed their link to them? And then they made everything up? That was bad stuff man! And the wiriting is so bad again. No idea what they were thinking, but they the authors clearly dont understand the Jedi at any capacity.

I found the most jarring part of the episode was the end credits when they played a pop song. Like normally I couldn't care less if you played a pop song at the end of a movie. But never in Star Wars. Something about that just annoyed the crap out of me.

- I like how the jedis clamed a wall that's higher than the clouds, it would take hours if not days. But somehow the second time they did it it took them like 3min MAX - Why did the white guilt jedi drink the poison? He didn't do anything wrong in this episode. All he did is he reflected some arrows. I guess that was enough for him to delete himself LMAO - A wookie with a metal detector... I officially seen it all

So how does Qimir know what happened on Brendok when he challenges Sol? They must have been chewing Edibles every hour while writing this.

We're all too late, Lucasfilm has truly fallen to the dark side. There is no hope for saving it now.

Wow... 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 Literally destroyed your only decent character, huh Leslie? Well, let it it be known that this disaster hasn't successfully demonized the Jedi, i.e., the Jedi Order. It just ruins 4 Jedi characters. Also, assuming that the Living Force was telling Sol that Osha was meant to be his Padawan and not some Dark side influence or pure selfish obsession, Sol would be acting like Qui-gon Jin, following the Living Force above the Jedi Council. Also, the Witches and Mae are still responsible for the Bendock Incident. Indara literally said that they needed permission to test the children, but they didn't turn them away. Also, Jedi never kidnapped children, despite the vague nature of their recruitment. They would sense other fledgling Force Adepts through the Force, test them if permitted, and then recruit them ONLY if their parents or guardians accept it. They could reject the Jedi. It hurts my 9 year old heart to see such a fundamental disregard for this universe and the franchise as a whole. I ought to thank Rian Johnson for TLJ. That was an omen to what would come to be for Star Wars. Forget Magick Zombie Stormtroopers, this is an Artificial Zombie Intellectual Property. RIP Star Wars. Filoni & John Favreau are frauds. Kennedy is IRL a Sith Lord.

If the Jedi had left the planet immediately, the place still would have burned down because apparently their "fortress" is made of some special kind of highly inflammable steel and rock without any fire suppression system whatsoever. They also used open-flame lamps, just for good measure. Their chance of survival was really slim from the start. The power of STUPIDITYYYYYY!

What an absolutely vapid motivation, this all happened because torbin wanted to GO HOME lmfaoooooooo. Then souel why does he want this little girl so bad ???! Because he saw the girls being trained (easier training than I’m sure he went through). His obsession with taking her almost came across as pedophilic. His fear for their safety was idiotic.

This is why I am so glad that this show is no longer canon in my head.

What an unbelievable misunderstanding of what the Jedi are. And Torbin? We see him as a Padawan. Then he's in a trance for 16 years. But he's a Master?! What?!!!

I love the smell of sliced up witches in the morning :). Go Jedi!

So Torbin decided to commit suicide for doing nothing wrong and watching Sol kill Aniseya? That was his guilt? What the f*** are Aniseya and Koril? They turned into dark spirits for a moment. This series needed more Carrie-Anne Moss. She was terrific here when given more work to do. Her jumping on Kelnacca was so Trinity. Speeder bikes in a forest gave us Return of the Jedi vibes. We were robbed of more Indara and Kelnacca never getting a fight scene with Smilo Ren. Kelnacca was pretty much destroying Sol and Torbin before Indara saved them. Where’s Mantis when you need her? This vergence created the twins? They weren’t born but artificially created? Same symbiont? Indara said the most important line explaining this confusion: Power was dense enough to split one consciousness into two bodies. We honestly needed more Trinity in this series. She would’ve made it halfway decent. Such a ripoff she got killed in the opening scene and Kelnacca never getting a fight scene with Smilo Ren. Seemed like they added Lee Jung-jae’s voice later on. It didn’t seem like his voice matched the movement of his lips. His voice felt off. Maybe added later when his English had improved. So the big bad moment for the Jedis was Sol kills Aniseya and Indara decided to lie about it. That still doesn’t explain why Torbin felt so guilty that he would commit suicide. And the only thing Indara did wrong was lie about it. Cover up Sol’s mistake. She wasn’t present when Sol killed Aniseya. If Mae needed to kill someone, it should’ve been only Sol. Not Indara and Torbin. A couple of WTF moments but it still wasn’t a good episode. Props to Tommen Baratheon for swinging a lightsaber like that. Still had no shot beating a Wookiee Jedi. What’s up with Sol not able to differentiate Osha from Mae? The younger versions are portrayed by actresses who are fraternal twins. The younger Mae has the prettier nose but looks more devilish. The other twin has the more innocent and worried face. Then when the twins are older and portrayed by one actress, Sol still can’t differentiate between them. One more episode to go. Then I can move from The Acolyte and The Boys S4 to focus on House of the Dragon S2 and Cobra Kai S6 Part I and watch Deadpool & Wolverine multiple times in the theater because it’s hot af around this month. I’ve already seen MaXXXine twice and The Bikeriders at least six times.

So, what connection does smilo ren has with this plotline?

Torban was floating for 10 years. He spent 6 years going from Padawan to--->master......(yep 6years) then felt "the great white guilt" and went into meditation.

The only Jedi acting like a Jedi was Indarra. The rest were totally giving into their passions like Sith.

The head witch messed with Torbin's mind and inflated his desire to go home That's why he went for the girls (to return home). Just before the end fight Sol stops Torbin. The blonde witch attacked first. When the head witch turns into smoke, Sol looks to his right to Torbin. He thinks she is attacking Torbin again, and defends him. The witches mind-controlled the wookie to kill the jedi. Master Indara tried to stop it, she didn't hurt the witches on purpose. If the witches hadn't attacked, no one would have died (except maybe in the fire set by Mae).

We all saw this coming.

Torbin's whole motivation in this episode is to go home. He wants off the planet so bad that he almost gives into the witches so he can clock out early from the mission and go home.

The Jedi with metal detectors take it to a hole new level 😂 Like I said earlier, I watch it as an SNL sketch now.

I thought the Zabrak mother turned to smoke/dust and peaced out while the other witches took over the wookie's body. I think the zabrak mother is the one to save Mae who seemingly fell to her death. Either way, a lot of choices they made (dialogue, editing, choreography, character choices..) just had me going "huh" a lot.

Ohsa and Mae are basically Capt. Kirk from the Enemy Within episode, One person basically split into two halves. We dont really know all the witches were dead, they could have just been knocked out. Mother Koril is alive probably connected Qimir.

I don't even get the controversy within the show. They went to the witches' coven to try to get the twins, which is questionable, but then Mother Amabalama or whatever her name is turns into a cloud of death to attack the Jedi and they defend themselves and she says "oh but I was gonna let you have her". Uh... then why are you fucking attacking him? Then at the end Trinity says to lie by saying Mae started a fire but Mae really did start a fire. She seemed to regret it but she sure did it. The Jedi don't know Mae regrets it. They shouldn't know Mae started the fire in the first place though so I don't know what the hell everyone is supposed to know actually. The witches all die because... uh... they just do? Breaking the wookiee out of their control suddenly killed like 48 witches? If it did, it killed them because THEY WERE ATTACKING THE JEDI. So... witches who said they were going to let the Jedi have the girl used violence to stop the Jedi and now the Jedi are bad because they defended themselves? I mean you could argue they should not have bothered the witches in the first place which would be really valid, but after that point nothing fucking controversial even happened. Sol deciding to save Osha over Mae is questionable, but he's saving one instead of letting them both die, which is rough but quite understandable. I don't see where the Jedi are the bad guys any way you look at it. If the witches weren't on the attack, and the Jedi just slaughtered them because they're non-registered force users or something, then that would be bad.

The jedi didn't lie. Mae set a fire, and all the witches died.
