I’m not gunna lie. I didn’t like the start of this series. But this episode is old school Star Wars reminiscent. Plot twists and small comedy and also life lessons . It’s a show that hasn’t done much for Star Wars fans but I’m my opinion it’s been a 2-4 series lol. 2 good episodes out of 4. And that’s okay
@@clydester2677Honestly i wouldnt even be able to tell, just shows he is amazing at projecting hos emotions you really feel what hes saying… only just learned this and shocked i just assumed he was bi-lingual, credit to him
My theory - The mothers learned how to manipulate the force to create life which sent ripples through the galaxy. Both the sith and jedi went to investigate. Sith want to learn this power. To prevent the knowledge from being shared, the jedi eliminate the cult. Maes tests are basically to get her to learn how to force choke. The force can be manipulated to both destroy and make life. The twins are all that is left to unlock this knowledge
Idk why I never thought of the force choke as killing a jedi without a weapon. That would be brilliant if that's how it ends up happening, seeing a force choke done to a jedi instead of some weak imperial officer.
All last episode they made a point of how committed Mae was to her tribe/culture, and to the destiny her mother insisted she shared with Osha. It makes sense she'd be committed to that promise once again upon realizing Osha was still alive.
I think Qimir (the poison guy) is the Sith Apprentice. An acolyte isn't a real "Sith'', just a lesser follower, like an assassin. Asaaj Ventress basically was an acolyte to Dooku. So he's secretly been deceiving and training Mae to be an acolyte, and the Master will be revealed later. I think it could be Mother Koril.
Yes, you are probably right. Although I haven’t seen the whole show, i think the schedule is really hurting this show. I find myself people would wait to judge the show as a whole. I got a feeling this is getting more interesting:)
Really disappointed they killed off Kelnacca. Certainly interesting to have an (adult) wookie Jedi. Was looking forward to seeing him in Combat. Also the runtime of the episode is surprsing. Too short imo.
I think I felt exactly the way the show intended me to feel with Mae's turnaround. We just assume that she's embarked on a personal vendetta, but we have also seen Qimir and The Master pressure her and frame it as a test. If it was truly her motivation making her kill, she wouldn't need to be coaxed or overseen. We also saw how happy she was to see her sister alive and we've seen that she has a kind heart throughout. Also...it was pretty obvious that she was faking exhaustion and becoming distrustful of Qimir. She was clearly planning something.
I agree with the mother but I figured she'd be the apprentice but then she would be the one searching for future apprentices for when she takes out the master. The actual Master might not be part of this at all and the apprentice is prematurely calling herself Master. I had no opinion on secret Jedi backstabbers though.
The Zabrak mother is the Sith, and Qimir (the poison guy) is her Apprentice. An acolyte isn't a real "Sith'', just a lesser follower, like an assassin. Asaaj Ventress basically was an acolyte to Dooku. So he's secretly been deceiving and training Mae to be their acolyte.
It's 100% him. And I think his interest in Mae is purely because she had a personal vendetta against certain Jedi, which would help him try to destroy the Order by revealing what happened on Brendok and tear down the upright and good reputation ("the dream") of the Jedi.
They literally started rewriting the wookiepedia because they're messing up lore by accident. Master Mundi wasn't even alive when this show took place so they changed his age this week on the lore site. Look it up don't take my word for it
Imagine if Shmi didn’t die. Anakins motivation of anger and hate wouldn’t have happened. Same for Mae, she blamed the Jedi for Osha being dead, finding out she’s alive changes her entire perspective.
@@ShaunSum49 that’s great and all, maybe give it like an episode or two to show her fighting with herself to change sides. Dont have her flip in quite literally 30 seconds
@@vidk1dd96 Are we sure that was Mae? But also, anger and hate could also be made from guilt. She could feel guilty and it fuels that dark side. But seeing Osha brings her back.
the sith is mother koril. she poisoned the coven with bunta. she hated the jedi the most and also favored mae over osha. maybe koril got training from her sith master.
@@chiburu_uchinanchu Aniseya was shown as “dead” at the fire scene and Koril wasn’t shown at all. The height difference does make sense though as the actor for Qimir is I believe 5’11 and OSHA’s actor is 5’3. When they’re side by side it looks like the appropriate height diff since he also has boots
I'm calling Qimir is the sith. But he's not the master. He's the apprentice and he's trying to take on Mae as his acolyte to kill his master. They could link it in by making Tenebrous his master and him be one of his many apprentices.
It is her mother, the white one. she planned this from the beginning when her partner agreed to let Mae be a Jedi. I know this is a crackpot theory, but I think Mae and Osho are one person. Nobody has seen them together since the fire. Osho is dead, she was killed in the Fire, she never escaped the room, Mae is pulling a Tyler Durden. Mae is sublimated the guilt from killing Osho.
Personally, im enjoying myself, i tend not to let critics reviews, and the fanbase views get to me. I make my own opinions. As always, your channel is great 👍🏾 never miss it guys
If we would listen to the fanbase, we would have accepted the OT fanbase to death threaten the shit of child actor Kid Anakin because they hated the sequels so much. Luckily, we ignored the shit out of those hating ahh sadflukes
Real Star Wars fans see this show for what it is. Nothing more than garbage writing and horrible story telling and destroying all of the George Lucas Star Wars which in turn makes this show not Star Wars hahaha. This is nothing more than pandering to the alphabet people.
Osha and Mae are a dyad like the Ying/Yang drawing Kelnacca had in his home at the start of the episode. Mae is the dark side and Osha the light. The Sith couldn’t kill Osha without ruining the dyad so he just force pushes her out of the way.
the writing is terrible...even more tell don't show they just talk in the way that explains everysingle thing that's happening on screen.. unbearable show.
Another absolute joke of a show. You guys weren't bothered by seeing a character that wasn't BORN when this was set? Really? How much character and canon has to be destroyed before you stop with your shilling?
Just listen to this. This shitty show had 180 million budget almost the same as Dune 2 with 190 million. Just look at both of those and tell me this show looks great with its generic as music, shots and dialogs.
This has to be the worst tv show ever made. Horrible writing that the writer is in online battles trying to justify so many things that don’t make since. This was made for left wing propaganda, we literally have pronouns now. You all can’t seriously act like this wasn’t trash. You are either paid through sponsors to say good things or you are lying, which ruins all credibility and believability. It has 14 percent rating on rotten
Just here to support my Rejects. The show is boo boo unfortunately. This is is supposed to be Star Wars! But feels like something else. The soul of this franchise died a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. 😢
They’re trying so hard to find things they liked about this episode to talk about. This level of shill is embarrassing. Lost all respect for this channel.
I think this show is average with potential but the performances of Lee Jung Jae specifically and to an extent Dafne Keen is what really elevates it. I’ve got a feeling Sol will come out a fan favourite, despite the ‘split’ on the views of this show.
I think lee is pretty bad but not of his own fault… he has to learn a new language which makes him sound robotic and seems like he’s trying to nail his lines rather than show emotion
Honestly same, I had some high expectations for the show since a lot of what I heard about it before release seemed cool. And I think the show has some really great concepts. Unexplored era, jedi using force fu(which has been great) and a mystery type beat. Sol tho has been amazing and I really have to give props to his actor. Such a good choice. Haven't even seen squid games but feels like he's knocked every scene out of the park. I like the show cause it's nice to watch but it's decent to good with the weakest elements being dialogue and cinematography. Tho it has gotten me into high republic which I'm definitely enjoying.
The fact anybody could like this garbage when it has almost zero source material and the writers themselves have never read or seen anything related to Star Wars is beyond comprehension. Do not relate this garbage to Star Wars ever again. Its own stand alone thing period.
You guys having zero payback on lore issues, sith being discovered a hundred years early, Mundi's origins being altered online to match the shows logic, or the fact that a 180 million show cut the wookie fight scene over budgetary reasons is all concerning. I came here expecting more nerdcore not pandering to a half assed show that doesn't actually care about the source material that came before it
we don't technically know for sure this person is a SITH sith. it may be the beginnings of a new sith uprising, but how about we wait until the show finishes before we decide who is what lmao
Awesome Video!!! This Was My Favorite Episode So Far! Even though it was shorter, It still felt like a lot happened. Seeing more of Coruscant and The Jedi Temple was So Cool! And it was Awesome to see Ki-Adi Mundi again! I didn't know if it was Him at First, But The Credits Confirmed It! That's So Cool! That Final Scene with The Sith Master was So Awesome but I do wish The Episode was a little longer instead of a very abrupt Cliffhanger. I am very curious about who The Sith Master is I think Qimir is a good guess because of how Sus He was and also Darth Plagueis would be very interesting as well. I Loved This Episode and i Can't Wait to see What Happens Next!!!
Disney shills. The critics aren't nearly as reliable these days as they were in the past. If it checks all the DEI checkmarks, the critics will give it glowing reviews no matter how awful it is.
I got it, Mae has to kill the jedi within her to become a sith, and for that no weapon is needed. Thats why its the final lessons. Like Anakin was "dead"!
I don't think this would be Plagueis's master's era or older, I think this is Plagueis's era. Sheev was in his 50's ish (Maybe 52?) during Phantom Menace, which means he was born only around 50 years after this show. Which suggests that Plagueis would be running around somewhen near this time period. That's assuming Muun's lifespan is fairly substantial. I actually thought he was going to kill Osha there and then and the Jedi would have to take Mae in. I think what would be interesting is if this season ends with everyone dying, but the Sith keeps going and if we get a second season, it's a little while later and we get more of them as this age comes to a close. Cuz this is literally the time when the HR ends. the 100 years after now is the start of the era that the prequels happen during. So there really has to be some kind of larger end to this era. I mean maybe we'll get a couple time jumps on the publishing side since the Trials of the Jedi phase of publishing is set 197 years before Phantom Menace. So, the 97 year time period has to encompass the rest of the publishing side and this show really. I also wouldn't say no to (if they do all die) a second season being some other completely different aspect of the end of this era still related to whatever the Sith is (or are) doing. Though that could be something don in the comics or novels too. Gah! So many possibilities! ^__^ I love Star Wars.
@@LeChaunce No it hasn't. All that we know is that the showruner talked to Lucasfilm about multiple seasons and has ideas for what to do for a second season. But nothing has been greenlit yet. There hasn't been anything official about whether it's getting another season or not. We just have to wait and see what happens.
@@DanielRDrew Lucasfilm announced the second season was greenlit and in preproduction just prior to the first season premiere. Did they go back on that? Certainly wouldn't be unheard of if they did.
@@LeChaunce I think that was a rumor but nothing was ever confirmed. What the showrunner said about the possible multiple seasons was said at the end of March. But there's nothing about a second season being confirmed officially. Though if you can find a link saying otherwise I will be happy about it XD
@@DanielRDrew Alas, my google fu is weak in that regard. Though I could've sworn I saw something about it on the official site a month ago, what I remember seeing is not something I can find now, so maybe we're both right -- they might've made a premature announcement and then retracted it. I'm with you, though -- I would love seeing it. I'm guessing that the mark that Mother Aniseya put on Mae was the coven's collective knowledge of "The Thread" and their abilities, so she, potentially, is the one to give Plagueis the knowledge of causing the midi-chlorians to spontaneously conceive. I'd like confirmation or refutation of that theory and I suspect we're not getting that this season.
You're not alone. I'm enjoying the show too. A couple points have been iffy but so far I'm loving it. I totally think that last episodes showing of the past isn't the whole truth as Mae seemed completely ok to switch sides if it meant getting to see her sister. And I'm wondering if it's at all possible that Osha may turn bad. It'd certainly be surprising. All in all, I really don't get the hate this show is getting.
@@maxcalder1010 It's the star wars fandom, sadly ragebait works too well on them (ironic, considering the themes). Loving the show as well, curious to see more about the sith dude.
I mean that One Jedi was Levitating for 10 years..what's the difference? Also like someone said this is Probably ONE of the COVEN not a Jedi or even a Sith.
annoying comment that is very tiresome but the fact you are reacting and commenting is a win for reel rejects, so i'm sure they do NOT care of you accusing them of being shills.
@@ObsessiveGeek absolutely. Having a heel turn is a basic convention in a drama, but usually it comes from a character growing over time and having to make a difficult choice. This was just... Spontaneous.
Character can’t make spontaneous decisions? This is Mae deciding she doesn’t want to live in fear of “the Master”. She’s allying with the Jedi out of necessity because she believes them to be the safer option. Her reaction when she knew the guy was there was “Oh shit”.
@@Outrunwhistle characters can make decisions but their change should come from struggle. Imagine if Darth Vader just casually decided to kill the emperor for no real reason, or iron man decides to sacrifices himself just cuz. Those moments have impact because you follow a character's struggle and you see them painfully choose to do something they wouldn't have if it wasn't for what they've gone through. Without a struggle it's not compelling, it's just spontaneous and makes elements in the story irrelevant.
Greg has called called out movies and shows for less than what this series is doing. This reaction series actually makes me think he is a shill... for the most part anything marvel, my views have aligned with him but here... this show is lazily done. He had major criticism for Quantumania but this gets nothing? Nah... you accepted a bag to play nice.
Its funny watching someone who doesn't want to admit something is leaning towards being trash, try to rationalize and make excuses and look for anything positive in this dumpster fire.
“The Jedi live in a dream. A dream they believe everyone shares. If you attack a Jedi with a weapon, you will fail. Steel or laser are no threat to them. But an Acolyte… An Acolyte kills without a weapon. An Acolyte… kills the dream.” - Stranger
Really can't help but think this series might have been better received had they released everything in one go.... me personally I quite liked the first 2 episodes, then the 3rd came out (oh dear)... and we had to wait a whole week after a truly shocking episode to then get episode 4... not to be a "hater" but literally nothing interesting happened until the last couple of minutes lmao
I think Qimir is the sith apprentice. I think a big twist is coming where Osha learns that the Jedi aren’t as good as she thought she was and that maybe they were more responsible for her covens death than she thought. I think she will than turn to the dark side and become the acolyte and the helmet guys apprentice. Than helmet guy kills all the Jedi and blames Mae because there wouldn’t be anyone alive to refute it.
@@howdyusa nah, Vader was also an apprentice (to Palpatine) who had acolytes that either became assassins (inquisitors), or if you count anything before Disney as part of your canon, an insanely powerful dark jedi (Starkiller).
@@jorgevargas9006 with the title of the show being “The Acolyte” we’re sort of under the presumption that there is only one acolyte. Given that osha is clearly the central character of the series, I would suggest that she becomes or is “The Acolyte”. Thoughts
@@howdyusa ur right, but i was mostly talking about the fact that yes, there is a rule of two, but that doesnt mean that an apprentice cant have multiple acolytes.
@@howdyusa Still find it weird that this show was advertised to be a mostly dark side of the force show, but once again, its mostly focused on the jedi.
this show just makes me pissed off more and more by the second if it isn’t the director its the story choices…i personally think that Osha and Mae could be a great duo if they had a good director …so is Sol
Better than last weeks episode and that shot of the Sith guy descending in the background went hard. These runtimes are a total joke though, Bad Batch episodes were longer
Yup.She hides her identity from Mae so she still thinks the Jedi killed her..And her "master's" rules are sooo strict because,"a firm hand is required in discipline."
I'm standing by my guess last week..Darth Venom isn't a real Sith, it's Mother Korl in disguise..She hides her identity even from Mae to further fuel her hatred for the Jedi.
@ShaunSum49 She needs Mae to stay angry and vengeful to complete her task.obviously that's not really working anymore, which is why she was there for the Wookie before Mae got to him..She's always watching, always listening.
