I am so excited to see more Star Wars I'm not going to pick the hell out it. Just going to sit back and enjoy it!

Everything is subjective. Some will love the martial art fighting, some may not. Everyone should decide for themselves, but those who make their online personality being only displeased will be the loudest, most likely.

I think Disney learned from Andor and is going to kill it with this show. Not being tied to well known characters gives the production and writing a lot of creative freedom within the SW universe to really shine. I’m very excited!

Random thought: It takes some serious dedication to be an actor. I would hate to do all that training to kill a role only for my character to get clapped in the first episode. lol

To be fair, the first two episodes of Andor were kind of slow too (which is probably why they premiered with the first three), but they were very necessary to set up everything that came after. Not the point here, but that is one great-looking cast!

In addition to Yoda, characters recently appearing in media and alive during the High Republic period included Chewbacca, Jabba, Yaddle, & Huyang, among a few others.

I can’t and won’t judge until I see it for myself. Critics aren’t always reliable. The Disney live action shows have been big hits or big misses, for me. I loved Mando Seasons 1 and 2, Ahsoka was mostly good, and Andor was really good. Mando 3 and Book of Boba Fett went off the rails partway through and Kenobi was abhorrent. Overall, a mixed bag, for me. Where will Acolyte land? We shall see! I won’t pre-judge.

I'm happy the industry critics felt it might be good. I prefer the reviews by actual fans that aren't worried about how a huge company like disney will impact their ability to work in the future. Still it's reasonably good news so far. I'll be more interested in reviews from fan channels like Meg and Thor. So far Andor is the only disney plus show I would consider watching someday. I'd be very happy if The Acolyte turns out to be a second disney plus show worth watching.

They haven’t made a bad series yet so really looking forward to the Acolyte. When KK announced all the shows and films, The Acolyte was the one that stood out to me.

I'll say this: if it's a whodunit style mystery, setup is everything so that might explain a slow start. You should be able to look back after the big reveal(s) and a lot that seemed meandering should suddenly click into place and make sense. We'll see though. I'm a little worried about how far they'll stray from the George Lucas conception of the Force, but I'm guardedly optimistic.

I’m 11 minutes in to episode 1, and all I’m going to say is that I don’t think fire behaves like that in space.

I'm always leery of when people say it's too slow paced. Some said that about Andor, which I thought was perfect paced.

Every full clip I’ve seen from The Acolyte has been masterful. First impressions don’t lie. I believe this will be up there with Andor due to the quality. Glad there’s real locales & practical sets instead “The Volume” 90% of the time. And the actor portraying Sol I believe will pay dividends for skeptic’s & naysayers getting onboard.

I personally, can’t wait to see this now that Filoni has more of a say. But Meg, I feel like we are soooo spoiled. People look at all new Star Wars ideas as trash because we got use to George Lucas way of vision, filming and directing, and most people leave zero room for exploring new concepts and ideas. I plan to see this show as if I have absolutely no idea of any other Star Wars lore, as if this is the very first time I’m watching a Star Wars idea, rather than how I think it should be. It reminds me of when I went to graphic design school. I have been drawing, creating, and painting on my own for over 20 years before I actually went back to school. And hearing many of the other artists I kept meeting I kept getting depressed because they had the negative attitude that they won’t learn anything. But I decided to abandon all my small accomplishments and look at this from a new experience like it was all brand new to me. It was the best decision I ever made, and as an artist, and I’m always still learning something new and different, life is all about lessons and learning to me. The ego on occasions can stop us from growth and new ideas. The one thing from the Star Wars lore I love to see more, is Anakin; his redemption, and how the newer characters evolving around him are embracing and growing. Who cares if more people are force sensitive, nothing ever stays the same, all things move in waves, shifting and vibration. Any stagnant always ends.

I will try all star wars once. Regardless of critics. Some I have stopped early (like that first Era period cartoon I can't even remember the name of) but I try them once. So I'm still gonna try the Acolyte
