The Aerogarden Harvest 2.0 Doesn't Sound So Great.... 

This was a very informative video. I was actually looking into doing this, but did not know where or how to start. Thank you for giving me answers and questions to ask while I research.😊😊😊

Just bought the V1 of the Harvest before it goes unavailable. It appears the company has conflicting information to sell V2. It should have been priced below V1.

I think it is a definite downgrade. The grow light is 25% less powerful- grow lights are bright because they need to be -to grow things. The lack of a waterfall deck reduces the aeration of the water, the holes raised edge does not allow the pots to seat properly flush against the deck. There are no information buttons which look cool and remind smartly, the 2.0 just shuts the light and pump off if it runs out of water. Oh- and the pump is actually smaller- it’s the one they use in the sprout, lessening the circulation of the water, that is already not falling or dripping to aerate it. I love your video, and I’m happy to help- The Harvest 2.0 is only a cheaper featureless upgrade for the company that is riding on its name, and the lovely Original Harvest. Taking away the grow domes was a stupid choice- it makes the unit look sleek like a hydroponics bay even when nothing is yet sprouted the clear glinting crystal like domes lend a promise for what’s to come. And to peek into those little plastic domes to see if that miracle has happened yet is a big part of the units charm. And the domes aren’t supposed to be disposable. People keep and reuse those domes like they are part of the original equipment. Because they were. It’s not the environment that benefits from their business plan, or us- it’s the company that is making the choice to lower their standards. I’ve had my Original Harvest for many happy years (I thought I’d get the 2.0 and just use them both but I shipped that junky 2.0 right back) when my Original harvest fails, I believe I will try one of those foreign models- often, if you shop astutely, some things are made very well, to compete with old established brands… like Aero garden, who seems to be willingly stepping down and out of the race.

I just bought two of these because of the buy one get one half off sale, My aspera finally died after almost 4 years of use. I'm surprised how small the harvest 2.0 is, its about half the size I'm used to but I like the dimmer lights.

Thanks Jeremy for your review. Another content creator has the system and she is using it, she has not made any content about her progress yet. There is other hydroponic systems by Auk hydroponics, also e superegrow hydroponic systems, you can grow tall plants.
