nothing wrong with tree squirrels we feed them at our place in the summer and don't mind them. They not harming us, but we did have to get rid of mice.....
I liked the fact that you explained the reason for removing squirrels from a commercial woodland.Showing restraint till the animal was stationary paid dividends in humane dispatch of these destructive rodents.Very good shooting Matt.
Thanks very much, Rod. I do my best to explain the purpose of the pest control we carry out on the show, and to do it as humanely as possible. All the best. Mat
Hi Matt I shot a red wolf and I don't mean to be rude I have noticed you are very heavy handed on the side leaver. For a gun that is so smooth it looks like you are going to rip it off.keep up the videos they are great happy hunting ps could you do more rabbit shooting with the red wolf cheers

Hi Andy. Yes, I write for Airgun Shooter magazine. Been writing for the shooting press for about 16 years - long before I started doing video. All the best. Mat
I use both quite frequently. Night vision wins hands-down for stealth but lamping is a lot simpler - plus the kit is a lot more affordable. Cheers. Mat
Good shooting to watch here this evening, Thanks again Mat,...always great to see those pest being taken out of the forests. I love that rifle you have there!
I am a hunter and have harvested plenty of squirrels over the years, and legally eliminated countless mammal pests. That is, I have no problem with what you do, and I enjoy your videos. I prefer to use a head-shot because, although I have little compassion for most critters, I have no desire to see them suffer a long slow death. They seem to die quickest with a head-shot. I have to comment because multiple times you talk about this theory (meaning a statement that can not be proved or disproved) that an animal shot in the head is instantly dead, even though he/she squirms and flips for 15 seconds. Dead things don’t flip and flop or even move at all. Dead is dead. Yes, they will be dead in seconds, and yes, there is no way to save them and there will never be a time when they'll look back and remember the suffering. But they’re not dead when they’re flipping. You can look up various definitions of "Dead" and "Clinically Dead", and they don't include "...flipping up and down wildly on the ground". They are more like, "All characteristics of life have ceased". If it makes you, or your viewers feel better about what you're doing, go ahead with you're theory. But I have no reason to believe they're dead. It takes a lot to stop a beating heart and yes -- it is a massively traumatic experience to be shot in the head and die for the next 15 seconds. If viewers can't deal with that, they should stop watching the videos and put their guns away.
That's right mate have a go do those bleeding squirrels a kickin and jelly good marksmanship their mate and I didn't get to see the videos in June and July you never sent me any video for me to see I would love to see them though so please send me some links so I can see them and I'll be more than happy to watch them thank you have a spot of tea for me mate
Great vid. Comments were disabled for the vid prior to this. Can someone please explain why. I gave it a thumbs down for that. If its felt that comments should be disabled the vid should be removed. Stopping comments is always the wrong decision.
