So why did you install the Alltrek wet bolt with the zerk facing out and the other wet bolts facing in? I find it much easier to have all the zerks facing out so i don't need to crawl under the RV to lubricate the wet bolts.
Don't spin the bolts and ruin the splines, they are there for a reason. To hold the bolt from spinning and keep it lined up for the grease to flow in properly. If you have problems getting the bolts out, take both out and slide the shackle off and get them off the shackle in a vice or a ball joint press. Don't beat the bolts out of the shackles.
If you had removed the nut from the spring side of the shackle. The shackle plate on the side with the nuts would have slid off, and the side with the bolts would slide out of the equalizer and leaf spring. Doing this would have saved a lot of time and you would not have damaged any nuts or bolts.
If the teeth bit into the bronze bushing, you are totally destroying the concept of the wet bolt being a bearing surface. Not sure where you got the aftermarket wet bolts, but the teeth were TOO long.@@BigCountrysWay
