Hornby originated many moons ago as meccano brand, I've still got a 1938 Freight Set No 1 boxed with track and keys. Its O Gauge and runs well.

Great video 👍 I’m very lucky to be living within a stone’s throw from Hornby. I visited the old visitor centre and was very impressed. I’ll make sure I take some of the Grandchildren to the new centre. (Good excuse to buy some more cars too) 😂

What a trip down memory lane, my first scalextric set was the two minis, red and green, if I recall , having progressed from minic motorways, Airfix kits always available from Woolworths. Pocket money prices. Got my interest into wargames, using airfix figures ,just pay the centre a visit ,thanks for sharing

If this has replaced the walk round displays that were there previously (not the shop bit - if it's just the shop bit, then OK), it is dreadful. It is a cavernous atmosphere-less warehouse like space - just like the Excel centre in docklands. On a practical level, older visitors will find it hard to bend down to floor level to see what's in the cabinets - little thought given to practicality or is it older customers not wanted, or just oversight: which is silly as there is a lot of money in an older customer base. I'm so glad I went before this change.

Nice vid Dusty, next time you at the OO Live Steam layout have a go at driving one,,you won’t find it a nightmare, honestly!! LOL

The scalextric track doesn’t seem to be running very well. They had one job….

Hi mate wow this was a lot of fun to see!!! Ok I am in the US but lol I do know the Three-Wheeler at the beginning!!! So nice Kits and you know a lot of them have working Lights too. They sure do show you a lot about the Kits and like the Track:). A lot of Displays for the Slot Cars too :). I sure do like all of the great Displays that they have. You sure did a good job in doing this it dose make me feel like I am right there too lol mate!!! Ok now you are talking :) I do like all of the Trains + I did see one or two that I do have. On my Layout I am running both Ho US and OO UK :)!!! + I do have all of the Beatles ones :) in the case as well. I do like the Layout that they have OK OK lol I was hopping that they had Corgi Toys. I am 61 years old and I have been colleting Corgi's since the late 60's lol yes!!! The Corgi ones that they have like the James Bond and Tv and the Beatles I do have too but fun to see them!!! I sure could get a lot at the gift shop lol. O wow yes I would love to go threw the Hornby place:)!!! Nice Kit you have too and wow what a great video all the best to you cheers mate!!!
