Our 58 Putz has a similar front outrigger arrangement and it’s an absolute game changer, especially for the larger booms.

I do agree to some extent. Operators should 100% be trained in knowing the allowable safe working range before ever entertaining the idea of relying on sensors. Like most things, I see it as another tool which can can choose in which we can utilize to get the job done. I’d be curious to hear feedback with regards to how these new “Powerbloc” pump cells perform in comparison the previous units which they have replaced.

Very true I could see a situation where u happen to forget your short rigged and it stops you but as we all know sensors like those tent to start having issues very soon in the pumps life I’m curious to see how long they last before they start having major issues with them

I know right? You guys get all the cool stuff first. Seems like we’re generally at least 5 years behind over here in North America, I believe this is mostly due to the fact that everyone sues everyone here and as such manufacturers have be extra diligent prior to releasing any sort of new/automated technology into our market.

@@Readymix-Andy Quite truthfully, we always shop serval different brands before purchasing a new piece of equipment (we actually just recently had a 31XT Schwing about a month out from delivery but had to cancel the order due to lack of operators). It as always just come back to Putz having the best option for our specific needs as well as having a very strong parts and service support network in our region. That being said, there has been so much innovation from multiple different manufacturers, we are probably more open now than ever in terms of trying other manufacturers. Had Putz not just recently unveiled their “full-flexible support system” to our market, we would almost certainly be shopping one of the other brands which currently does offer a system allowing extended short-rig working range. For us it simply comes down to whichever machine allows us to best service our jobs/customers.

They seem to be pretty much right inline with Schwing and Putzmeister.

Outrigger spread specs. out at 22’ front/rear. I actually prefer the “squared” outrigger spread. Many manufacturers are now using a more narrow spread in the front but offsetting it with a much wider spread in the rear. In my opinion, job site setup/planning can be much simpler when working with a squared setup like this.

As @randyanderson1983 had mentioned, no they are not continuous rotation like the DY. I’m fairly certain that DY is the only manufacturer currently offering the continuous feature. Schwing has 740 degrees rotation on many models of theirs, which theoretically should be all us operators should ever need (until some dough-head inevitably spins the boom around twice and just drops it back in the cradle). 😂😂😂

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 ok so it’s a couple feet wider then a 38.5 Putz. But much more maneuverable in short rigging scenario. Can you buy this machine - put her threw the test and show us how she performs? That would be great thanks

@@AWS-lh3rn Dude, that would be my dream to have the opportunity to try out the latest and greatest pumps for 6-12 months each. I solemnly swear to make lots and lots of RU-vid vids. putting said rigs through a barrage of real world challenges 😁😁😁

36 XXT will be my next die-cast. I already blew my 2023 die-cast budget the new Schwing 51SX die cast.

I think that’s more a case of the operator trying to run the sticks and speak to the crowd simultaneously.
