My transmitter and rx are bound In my reciever tab in beta flight the rx indicators are all over the place like even for aux Chanels my transmitter doesn't even have and when I move the sticks they go even more crazy I have everything setup correctly cause I've already flown it acouple of times but I lost coms between the fc and the esc which made me have to replace the fc diatone came through and gave me a huge discount on the replacement so I have the same esc. do you think I need to flash the fc I did the original before I had to replace it that only thing I can think of that's different from the last time. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated I was a patreon member but I missed the payment this month sorry mesh I'll get you next month and thanks again.

Love all of your videos. This was a great break down. I used your video to wire up the current build Im working on. I ran into a problem with a bent pin. I bent it back and got full power back on the FC. But motors are not spinning in betaflight. And now I'm stuck. Keep up the great work!

I love the f7 mini version of these. However, I run it with the tekko32 45A 20x20 on a 6s race-rig and just one big cap on the bat, but still it delivers clean picture without using that little cap they send it with ;) Maybe I'll try the f4 on my new freestyle-rig, but the f7 have really converted me to ^^ Thanks for the review ^_^ Miss your stress-tests on esc's, by the way ;)

OMG! This hobby is killing me. This stack worked great for me in my 3 inch Tadpole build for a month. I took this stack out to use in a Geprc frame to run a runcam hybrid. Each part I soldered up I checked with a multimeter and used a smoke stopper to make sure I was getting all 5 tones and LEDs. I soldered on the camera. All good. Soldered on the VTX, all good. soldered on the Crossfire nano RX, all of a sudden it's just 3 tones and the 3.3v regulator gets super hot almost instantly. The USB connection no longer works either. So for no reason and out of nowhere, the board is broken. And now I'm having trouble finding the A1117B 3.3 IJ regulator so I can try to save this $60 board. I can't even find just the flight controller. Everyone is just selling the entire stack. Nearly every time I try do put one of these things together something stupid happens. Like in this case. I was ready to bind my receiver, screw on the top plate and mount the antennas and go fly. But NO! The FPV law that states for every 1 part of fun you must endure 10 parts of frustration is being fully enforced! UPDATE: It's not the 3.3v regulator. It's the F4 MCU. Thanks China!

I also had some problems with the mini stack.Contacted Diatone.Mostly they response evertime.They promised me discount.. but the code was invalid.Told them.. and they admitted the mistake, and he would solve it.But no fix at all... lol.Contacted them again, fast answer, but the conversation leads to nothing.I mean Diatone ships there products mostly fast, but just dont argue with them if you have any problems its a wast off your time.Or you have to be a reviewer like one off the big names.

Following his work with the ibis stuff don’t worry about that if your on tbs. the two wires left after pos and Neg, ard rx Doesn’t matter what tx pad it goes to, any tx goes to the matching # rx

Really late reply, but for duplex serial (like crossfire) receivers, you connect the Tx of the receiver to the pin right below RC (the pin for S.BUS), and you connect the Rx of the receiver to Tx1, the lowest of the three pads in the strip between the previous pin and the indicator LEDs. Hi there just got new mamba f405 mini mk3..says mamba second generation reciever signal compatible with sbus ibus dms etc. with now according to wiring diagram the very last pad on the left side of FC is now inverted TX1 Con you confirm if this is were I connect XM+ Great video thanks for your help 😊

Bro..I really appreciate your efforts, making this videos. Always interesting new products, but you are only explaining the same stuff, how to wire them..and sometimes how much noise they have. It would be great, if you show us what kv motors the esc could handle and how light should be the quad, some practical stuff. Maybe real builds with flights. I understand that this is flight controller video, but my idea is the same. Everything else is great! Thanks, big up from Bulgaria!

Does this flight controller make clicking type sounds constantly while the usb is connected. And where can we find the codes for the LEDs flash's. Just curious on that one cause of the clicking and was wondering if it had something to do with it cause I'm fighting twitching while hovering inside or outside the house. And supposedly the Taycan should work fine on defaults with the f405mk3

Love the new clear style. Very informative as always. Does anyone know what the TBS tx1 pad is for on the mk3, and how it's different to the inverted tx1 for fport? The spec diagram doesn't really say. I've got two of these in a taycan and r369 and have been trying to connect an r9 mini, which has uninverted fport. Just wondering if there's an uninverted uart somewhere I could use.

Just place the normal inverted Fport into the tx1 and all will work. If your taking the uninverted from the receiver then place it on any available tx that is not tx1 on that board. Hope that helps

TX1 does NOT have a bi-directional inverter on it. This CANNOT be used for f.port. I found this out the hard way. Had to get an R9MM and use a regular TX pad to setup f.port. The diagram is a wrong to imply that you can use f.port. F.port is bi-directional! I think you may need to let your viewers know this. At least that was the case for me. Please confirm!

Two of These died on me, one after a minor Crash (4 feet on concrete. Just Fell Out of the sky while hovering, the Other wouldnt boot after i Just switched batteries.) I highly recommend buying Something Else. The ESC is fine tho.

i tried connecting the r9 mini to the fport pad and had no luck, any help? its been updated, bound and uart 1 is serial rx so not sure why its not working. tried all the CLI stuff. also got sick of it so just wired up normal sbus to the same pads and that didnt work either, any help would be great

I love the MK2. That being said the cable the connects the ESC to FC was an issue and had to be replaced more then once due to failure during flight. Has this issue been resolved or is it still the same cable?

Hello i get it but , i flashed esc with jazzmaverick for rpm filter with FC passtrough on BF4.1, i'm set up in dshot 300 for 4khz on both loops with bidirectional activated , in motor tabs with lipo connected no one motor is spinning (new motors ) any clue thanks in advance

hate to be a spoiler but you have the Sbus correct but your 5 volt lead is to the PPM pad and your ground is to the 5 volt pad. you also have the Ibus hooked to the RX3 pad not the RX4 pad for what ever that is worth since I never use Ibus. By the way there is no RX4 pad on the FCB I have. I just used this stack on a CodeRed build.

hey man -- i have 2x of these stacks.. the first i bought, the second, RDQ sent me for free as a replacment becuase they couldnt understand what was going on either...... i was TRYING to run this stack on 2205.5 2722kv 4s (1300mah 4s rline) -- AUW of 350 gram quad.. and it seemed like the REGULATOR would just reset itself randomly mid-flight... over and over and over.. i didnt get 1 full flight, without it freaking out and falling out of the sky, the VTX would fully reset as well.. so its as if it was regulator.. heres where it gets WEIRD... i put a 1150 6s talon bat on this -- and it works PERFECT -- i motor output limited it to 2000kv, and ive never again had it fall out of the air... for good measure, i put a 4s pack back on it -- even with the same motor output limit on it.. and it did the exact same thing.. this happened on BOTH stacks.. it was so god damn bizzare.....ppl on line theoriezed with me that there must be a short or something in the esc, and 6s arc's the short, where as 4s just doesnt have enuf juice to arc it.. but its SO weird it happened back to back on 2 mk3 stacks...

Hahahaa i have this stack in my taycan and just do breakdance everytime i landed, lost sensor, dead after landing etc. end up bought iflight mini, i can fly to the moon now. this stack has many defect (batch). either buy other brand or buy mk2. the problem is ESC btw.

I like there electronics, however, I have had 2x f7 mini flight controllers, going crazy. Number 1, the f7 mcu just died one day when I plugged in. No reason. The second, the mpu6000 would sudently yaw slightly/slowly when flying in a straight line.. I looked at the black box logs, and there were no yaw readings, so the gyro must be bad. Both of these errors aren't solely diatones fault, could be a bad component fra the factory, but I decided not to continue using the diatone mini's for my builds. I have never had any problems on the same quads using other fc's. So they should have worked

Anyone ever had problems connecting a gps module to uart 2? I've tried two different brands of gps and both won't show in betaflight or in osd. All status lights are lit and wires are definatley RX to TX and TX to RX. Driving me crazy. GPS is turned on in BF and port is set to gps with correct baud rate in ports on uart 2.... HELP! Thanks.

It's a bad FC. Don't buy it! The UART1 is broken even on mk3 version, UART3 has no RX3 pad there is no i2c interface, you could remap uart1 or uart3 to i2c but uart1 is broken and uart3 has only one pad lastly there are no pad desc. on the board don't be like me, pick something else.

No offence but 70% of the video was explaining what almost every flight controller has currently in the market. Camera inputs, VTX outputs and SBUS/IBUS are pretty much the standards nowadays. I’d enjoy more a building video with that specific flight controller and then a 2nd one with a maiden flight. That would show how great(or bad) this flight controller behaves in real life situations.
