i remember All star in highschool i had there gear mainly but not the gloves i always felt the Allstar gloves where kinda stiff but. Some of the models def are nice just those are a lot of money. I just ended up using a rawling R2G and heart of hide pro. Both where great gloves and way softer then the Allstar gloves especially after a short break in or some break in liquid.

It would help if you preload or work from the ground up and into the strike zone. All-star catchers mitts are best.

I just got a horween Rawlings cm33 and it’s really stiff is there anything I can do to break it in faster ? My goal is to have it game ready in a couple of months.

I got a 34’ Rawlings CM34 model, pro preferred. It’s a great mitt. Honestly I think most mitts can work, it’s just a matter of how you break it in and the style you go for. I do recommend everyone do 2 in the ring regardless of mitt and size

I have a custom acg softball catcher mitt and its so stiff i need to send it in and have it broke in my 11 yr daughter has a matching acg softball glove too its pretty stiff but breaking in nicely but my catcher mitt is just a pain to close

I recently started to care more about baseball, but my question is: does it matter what glove you use for each break-in (and if it does, how do I know what mitt I should use for that specific break-in)

So we commented in the other 40 vs 400 catcher's mitt video about the issues with the velcro on the gamer XLE closure breaking down / failing. Out of frustration with that issue the other glove that he got to try was the cm33 but in an r2g model. I hear what you're saying about don't get r2g, but for a not big 13 year old, the full blown Heart of the Hide is going to be a tough one, wont it? I hope the r2g can work as a bridge for him.

I love all star, but rawlings has something that makes me prefer it, heart of the hide or pro preferred in my personal opinion and as a professional player it is better than allstar, more comfortable, more accessible to the wallet and more durable, a video about those Japanese gloves from catcher would be the best to meet them, great video as always, love this

I have a catchers glove like the gold one with the rawling but mine is an elite rawling one same exact color and laces but i think it could be the same as the rawling gold one he is using in the video great video though

Try working from holding the mitt down towards the turf then up to the ball with the catchers mitts and definitely go to and attack the ball otherwise you get beat with a mitt if just waiting for it. Balls that stayed up like at your chin you nailed but anything lower you went down to and really struggled with taking the mitt down to the ball which everyone does. Can get away with that on fielding gloves but not catcher mitts it'll expose you every time. I think that would get you more consistent with them and maybe have a different opinion on mitts. My son loves his 34" Rawlings PROCM41BCF and I like it a lot but I'm Wilson 33" DPCM guy both boxed. The fingers on the Allstar are just too far apart for us need big hands for them other than that they are nice.

Spend the extra 150 dollars and get the all star pro elite 33.5 in the black it’s more durable and I have it and love it

Just throwing this out, but is that Rawlings really a CM33? That wrist isn’t the same as the CM33’s I’ve seen.
