I think it would be great talking about the other band members, past and present, and explaining their backgrounds and their influences. I know that some of the members have little or no background info available like Victor Indrizzo or Alfredo Hernandez, but I’d love to see their influences and how they may have contributed to Qotsa’s sound.
Actually, it's ok on my PC, but when I played it on a phone SPEAKER it produced only very faint hissing (the Marc Maron sections), almost unhearable. With earbuds it worked fine... What a weird thing.
@@piggy201 Huh that's strange. I usually always edit with my headphones on. But i'd never expect that there would be that much of a difference. Hope you understood what they said. It's one of the better segments of the video imo.
@@LieLikesMusic Well, I replayed in on PC. From what I tried, those segments are for some reason unhearable on a phone speaker (at least on my phone). It's just the talking, too, not the music underneath. I guess it must be some technical issue with audio and speakers.
@@piggy201 Wow i just checked this on my phone. It's the same! The BG music is still going but no interview audio. I guess there's a reason they called it WTF with Mark Maron...
My UNEDUCATED guess is that the talking segments are only in the side audio channels and the music is playing in the middle. So when it gets played by a mono speaker like a phone (or my bluetooth speaker) its only producing the middle channel frequencies.
This is incredible! I’ve learnt the most about him from this video and I know a lot about Homme and QOTSA! You broke it all down perfectly, loved this documentary style video :) only thing I’d say you missed is Trent sang on the track Era Vulgaris which always blows my mind when I hear them singing together
Yeah he also sang on Kalopsia from Like Clockwork. Love that song. Thanks a lot for watching and for supporting what i do. More Queens related videos are on the way.
OK I think we can all agree that Josh hommee is the coolest person to ever live, it's just a fact at this stage, I mean the man has made some of the best music of the 21st century and started my favourite band of all time ( Queens of the stone age) I have much respect for him
that was such an amazing video! Thank you so much for making this video I learned a lot about Josh Homme's backgrounds. I love his music and I would dare to say he's the greatest rockstar of our time. Cheers from Venezuela! Keep it comming dude
It should work with headphones. For some reason the audio is only rendered in mono. It's really strange. Never had that problem before. So headphones it is
Hey guys this channel is absolutely fantastic! Its weird to know other people are as interested in this guy Baby Duck as I am. You guys have to check out The Desert Age doc it’s beautiful!
whatever josh homme's doing i'm doing. just something about his thoughts and behavior accidentally molded me. i kind of love every word he's ever said and every choice he ever made
same, partially. every1 makes mistakes that they don't love. i do, a lot. you can't love everything you do because we get mislead & thrown off track by lies & desires that yea can teach us lessons but a lot of the time if we're paying attention to our intuition/plans/heart etc. we already know what we're supposed to b doing/where we're supposed to b going/what's "right/wrong" etc. that's why you get in touch with yourself & yer gut feelings because it'll usually lead you in the direction of what will make you most happy or away from what will harm you. there r a lot of lies & distractions too that ppl push in front of you to keep you away from things for 1 reason or another. it's up to us to figure out what's what & a lot of ppl fail, myself included.
He'll never do it. Why would he? He knows excellent musicians and just like was said in the video,he likes fusions, he wants to do something different everytime, and its easier with more people
I've gone however far needed out of my way to buy every album Homme's ever put out under his various bands since seeing QOTSA as a kid when they were touring Rated R. The show was seen as a huge bust to them assuredly, as most ppl there were talking and milling about like so many loose assholes. But it made me pick up a guitar & I'm eternally grateful. (can't find a few desert sessions albums)
Thanks for the video kiddo! I can see passion for music pushing you through this. Nice choice of topic. you heard of "Samantha Fish? Blow your mind.......
Another person commented that it might have something to do with the audio being rendered as a mono signal. Apparently you can hear the interview with headphones
Christians see a gap in our understanding and fill that gap with something that fits it and assume it's true simply because the gap is there. atheists see that gap and look to fill it with things we can actually know to be true.
Can you do a video about UNKLE since its a british trip hop band that became Queens of the Stone Age related, Josh Homme and Chris Goss have become regular collaborators with Unkle over the years.
