I once went to Singapore as a kid and by mistake stepped on the wrong metro train. The people were very friendly and waited with me till I got back to my family
Same, just that I live in Singapore. The train doors were closing and I was too scared to enter but my mom was already inside the train so a lady accompanied me to meet my mom at the next station and another lent me his phone to call my mom:)
As a Singaporean, I feel so proud of the achievements we have made and hearing these things from someone from another country makes me feel extremely grateful that I was born, raised and am living in Singapore ❤
As a singaporean, it warms my heart to hear such positivity about our country. There is of course plenty of downsides just like any country, but it’s still amazing. Also a Note about gum being illegal: It’s only illegal to sell or buy it, however if you do manage to get some (Eg, from overseas), you can still eat it, BUT you have to dispose of it properly.
for me the biggest problems i saw in singapore were how your government closely and i mean VERY closely monitors its citizens. facebook, and other social media platforms are monitored for any anti-govt. speech. there are cameras literally everywhere. its almost creepy the feeling of being watched there. i also get creeped out by the lack of crime, because crime at least at some level, is normal. you can't own real estate in the way you think you can there either. people are very limited in rights and freedoms in singapore, which is something most of the ppl there won't tell you.
Been here for the last 7 years and loving it here. Met the prime minister as well as leader of opposition and was amazed at how humble and down to earth they were
Racism, traffic and polution are not problems solving which makes a country perfect. What makes country perfect is freedom, high salaries, low suicide level, men suicide level not being higher than female one, high level of marriages.
Singapore:- we solved most of the problems in 53 years after getting independence India:- my life my rules, we don't care and we are stuck in the extreme battle of Hindu Muslims. It's been 74 years since freedom.........
@@maya-cc2sx there were so many countries whose conditions were worst than our it's been 74 years from independence now and our people are not even ready to think other than Hindu Muslims.
@@geniusandmad japan had a worse disaster to deal with in a short time frame. Our problem was that we, like most colonies in south asia and africa, didn't have an ample amount of regional leadership that could counter the effects of east India company's systematic destruction of generations of economy (laws like land redistribution to upper castes for example). Maybe if the country didn't fall into political instability multiple times after the independence and went the china route of taking away citizen liberties we'd be better off but we chose to be an almost anarchical democracy, its not the best but its certainly not the worst
@@mahevishpathan2047 nah every country has had its unique set of problems, so did we. Religious fights aren't a big deal, the rich poor divide is a far worse and well entrenched systematic problem and has been so for the last 300 years.
Singapore is really strict. That's why it's so environmentally friendly Guys just stop comparing it to North Korea. And saying it's not strict. They are disciplining their country. Letting the citizens have their rights and choices and freedom without doing things to harm the environment and country reputation. Yes North Korea is strict. But I'm not talking about that.dont compare because North Korea isn't just strict it's unreasonably strict. What I'm saying is Singapore is strict but reasonable. Besides don't get me wrong I've lived there before so I do get what y'all mean by it's not strict. It is the rules are a must to follow of course. But it's reasonable. 💜💙 have a great day
Assalaamu alaikom i liked the way did that video and the way you are upgrading your system. If you notice your views and subscription just went may allah reward you for great work you doing for dunya
I'm a singaporean, and i have to say all the success is all down to our grandfathers. They build this country. For our current generation, we only have to maintain it and make it more successful
I used to live in Singapore and I loved it. I recently moved out. One of my favourite things about Singapore is that the country has so much nature and greenery! I lived in Singapore for almost my entire life.
Does the fact that your country is entirely built on working-class slaves and constructed by destroying ecosystems and primarily made for tourists make you love it to?
@@velhaw8737 Well, can't I love my country? And the thing is, no country is perfect. I get that Singapore might be doing some-- or even many things wrong, but they are putting in all their effort to do what is best for us.
I love singapore. I used to live there a few months ago, and it was the best ☺️ The people were nice, good view, places to have fun, no natural disasters(due to a sad fact which I won’t mention)… And to add, gum is prohibited because it a lot of people spit it out on the streets. It’s only illegal selling gum though- you can still eat it inside. 👍✨
@@idiot7149 uhm well- *What DONT happen* Earthquakes, typhoons, etc.: no problem because (I think?) is in a place where earthquakes don’t happen. Tsunamis : Indonesia & other countries r technically surrounding the country, so technically Singapore gets protected by them *what DO happen* Hazes, dengi(deadly mosquito problems) (This information may not be correct. Just what I’ve learnt there.)
@@kirbylikesroblox4659 yea you're right. we don't live near the lines of the tectonic plate so earthquakes doesn't happen to us. Our neighbours malaysia and indonesia gets hit by tsunamis instead of us, so they pretty much shield us from natural disasters. haze and dengi isn't realy that natural since they're manmade/human imported. Nothing we can do except thank indonesia for their fresh air *cough*
I live in Singapore. I simply love it and anyone who doesn’t hasn’t visited it. Singapore is so economically friendly that in schools, you are encouraged to give your textbooks away to others. Go visit it if possible!
*Singapore* in one line by *Nas daily:* *Passport is the strongest* *Seaport is the second busiest* *Water is the cleanest* *Airport is the greatest* *Landfills are the prettiest, and* *People are the friendliest.*
@@umr9834 Yeah exactly like many people I’ve noticed in public places that they are mostly always stressed and they do not always smile due to the tough life around here then it’s pretty obvious that they are not so friendly all the time
I am a Singaporean and seeing this video just makes me so happy, there was a time when I did not manage to step in the train but my parents did and I was left in the train stop, I was still 4 or smth back then so I did not know what to do. Luckily, some sweet lady saw the whole thing and sat with me while I waited for my parents to come back for me, that was also how my mom became friends with that lady who coincidentally was our neighbour that we did not know well, SINGAPORE IS THE BESTTTTTTT
Does the fact that your country is entirely built on working-class slaves and constructed by destroying ecosystems and primarily made for tourists make you happy to?
I wanna live in Singapore now :( I’m American and I know lots of people hate us because they think everyone is racist there or smth but I’m not racist I just want everyone to be treated equal. Everyone could learn from Singapore. Mad respect to you guys for actually treating humans like humans 💜💜😊
Honestly it’s all thanks to Mr Lee Kuan Yew , the last prime minister , which is the present prime minister’s father. He did a lot that helped us , now , he sadly passed away... Rest In peace. He grew trees and did a lot of things...he was certainly a good man. ( coming from a fellow singaporean )
@@d.o.g.6562 I have travelled quite a bit. I have visited many countries, talked to many people there, but I never found who wanted to see Nas cooking chicken soup.
No, my dear friend, we are no where near enemies. We have no reason to be enemies. I'm pretty darn close to my neighbours, especially the ones who are less transient. We don't suffer the same problems regarding race and religion that you all seem to do.... 😝
@@nitrofiregamingtv1155 never said india is better . I said that they have restrictions on basic humans rights ,but not that restrictions, like were level one
my bigger sister used to live in Singapore and me and my mom went to visit them in Singapore, it was really really nice I was nervous at first in Singapore but it was really fun and nice, Im planning to stay there in Singapore when I grow up
I went to Singapore and experienced the same as he said No traffic , No pollution, No loud noise , No waste of water and No rudeness I love it From India!
I have never lived there. Just visited twice for vacation. I like their their traffic system, cleanliness, Infrastractures. I am not sure working and living there will be as nice as visiting Singapore for vacation.
As a person who used to live In Singapore, I can confirm that the place is beautiful and the people are great, the school system however…is a whole different story.
Yeah the schools are amazing, but i get that ur talking about the systems, and I agree,I had a few friends in my church and they were foreigners, like me,and they came back to India coz my friend didn't get a seat in any school
I understand that part about the school cos like every year in my school so far there’s only like idk 4 people coming in to like our entire level, but I still like school, considering that the fee is like 10 bucks or something so ... yea.
I traveled to singapore and loved it. The country's small size is a main factor for how it is so sustainable. I talked to many people, they said if it was as big as a "normal country", lots of their technological developments couldnt be possible to sustain
The answer to the “why can’t we” problem is because not every country has a Lee Kuan Yew. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I know it’s a rhetorical question but I’m just saying. That guy was great.
When war broke out, Singapore was one of the countries that Japan raided, many people suffered and died until they didn’t when world war stopped, Singapore became independent and started their own country. If you are a Singaporean, be proud of being a Singaporean. If our Prime Minister’s father didn’t persevere for Singapore, we wouldn’t be where the Singaporeans are here today.
@@overdrivionyt2449 umm,no,Singapore is definitely not corrupted,if it is,I won't believe that it became corrupted in the 3 1/2 years I wasn't there 😂😂😂,if that's corrupted for u,then imagine india
In small countries it is easier to have a change as compared to bigger countries. Similar to heating up water in a pot. Small pot heats quickly. Larger takes time. But also remember, smaller pot also loses the heat quickly, while the larger does not.
It depends on the mindset of who is running it. The US is not as old as some countries but you know people twisted religion and wrote laws and used racism to keep slavery and oppression. Britain ended slavery before the US and then used the British Navy to stem human trafficking.
Gotta admit, I loved Singapore when I lived there for 4 years. It can get a little mundane when an expat like who is 6ft2 couldn’t find a lot of choices for clothes that could fit…but the weekends would be me driving to KL in Malaysia 🇲🇾
I've stepped in singapore once and what I saw are heaven. I only went to the airport but the airport is GORGEOUS. They have a very beautiful garden in it, their foods are 10 stars, their service too. It's very clean and I felt like I am in a different world. Singapore's airport is the best airport that I've ever went.
I used to go to Singapore to visit my aunt I saw the merlion, I went to a zoo, I went to this garden place with plants and waterfalls I forgot what the place called and when I saw the merlion there's a mini version of it, in the zoo I didn't get to see the tigers or white tigers but I still got a amazing experience it happened in 2018
I was born in Singapore and lived there for 4 years until I moved to Providence and later Houston with my parents. I still (kinda) remember the amazing gardens, buildings, and malls there.
As a person living in Singapore for my whole life I feel like I co. Plain too much about the heat and mosquitoes but honestly sometimes we should just step back and be so grateful to be living in such a eco friendly, low crime rate, and overall amazing country ♥ 🇸🇬
Singapore is small but amazing in many different ways I am glad many people enjoy coming to Singapore or staying in Singapore. This makes me even more proud to be born in Singapore, raise in Singapore and being a Singaporean. ☺️
Same... although its so hard to not text like normal as singaporeans on social media. We do have to restrict our singlish on public platforms😏😏 but since it has been so long of texting like other people on youtube... i feel weird texting in singlish when i meet singaporeans on youtube lol
