As a Papua New Guinean, I can confirm that pidgin is indeed an easy language. But to people who understand English, they will understand this language even more easily
For me this language is very useful. I am Italian and as I think you also know, in Italian the words are pronounced as they are read. So a language like this where just reading a word to pronounce it well is just perfect for us.
The complicated grammar or the extraordinary vocabulary is not what makes English complicated. It's all about the grammatical difference between English and the local languages. A new language doesn't fix the problem. Because it's a completely new grammar structure which will most probably differ from the all languages across the world at least as much as English.
Lol pidgin reminds me when i was in kindergarten i didnt know english so i speak like pidgin cause i pronouned it kinda wrong my teachers Try so hard so i can understand it and now i know english i so happy i speak spainish and english
I love this language cause I don’t know to do anything to participate AND it makes me feel smart since I just understand it. Throw in a bit of world peace and it’s perfect lol
As a Nigerian I can tell you this is not the official language of any African countries it is just a way of speaking English, and is incredibly different. If you spoke English to someone speaking pidgin you wouldn’t understand, pidgin varies from nation to nation too, so Nigerian Pidgin is the same as pidgin in Guinea Bissau. In the countries there are languages per region like Igbo Eshan and Yuruba.
Esperanto was made as a second language for the whole world but only some people learnt it around the world but it’s in its second generation of native speakers
There are actually different types of Pidgins and Creoles that are mixtures of the different languages represented in that area. For example, Papa New Guinea Pidgin and Hawaiian Pidgin may be similar with syntax and grammar, but vocabulary and phrases would be slightly different. Language is such an interesting thing. Pidgins are one of the coolest aspects of language, I feel.
@@sheiverain it's not tf? every normal german person who is not completely dumb can speak english at least relatively good. i'm german as well and i speak english better than my own language lmao.
Im not american but i learned english pretty fast because in the quarantine there was nothing to do except for surf around the internet and it was pretty fun so to communicate and understand things better i learned it but without like any difficulty because i wasn't determined or anything it happened without any like training you can call it i guess it just happened with time
I learned how to sing alphabet in English backwards in second grade I also know how to write the whole alphabet in cursive and that wasn't also in second grade
@@mkieran2619 exactly. What nas actually said (to me) isn't the right pidgin. But it might be another language, but I for sure know that there is no other pidgin language FYI eat is chop not what he said in the video.
English is extremely simple compared to the most languages like there is lack of word forms, object genders, many tenses and much more so its simple to understand.
I am a fluent Russian and Ukrainian speaker. I studied Japanese and Arab. English is the easiest language that I came across. You don't have to be perfectly fluent, most English speakers are not. They think their language is the hardest because they didn't study English grammar. Neither did I, and I went to American school. I learned by listening and started speaking fluently within 6 months.
How about thinking that the language is named after pigeon becuz in ancient times pigeons were used as a communication source ( sending letters etc. ) So the language does the same it helps communicate. ,😅😅
Um guys, as a Belizean, this sound like creole lol. Because is like a broken English. For example, regular English would say Where is my cup, Creole would say that sentence like Weh mi cup de or like Which pat mi cup de. Another example would like I will go to the shop, creole version of that sentence will be I qwen da de shop. So yea, this reminds me of creole
"This is a real problem around the world" It's not a problem. English is world-wide language that everyone has to learn. So if they can't speak english, not our problem. Also the simplified version of english is harder.
