In this week’s video, I show you how to make custom drawer pulls using a simple jig without using a router table.
The jig board used in this video has already been covered in a previous video. You can find the basic jig board build in the links below.
This jig can be used to make several styles and sizes of drawer pulls and handles. Best of all, when you make them out of wood, it’s very easy to match the finish on your project - no compromise needed.

If you used a slightly larger router bit and waited to cut the blank down the middle you could reduce the possibility of the chip out and rout half the times.

@Steven Browning Sr It depends on the direction of the grain vs. the bit. Out of habit, I do run it from the ends an inch or two towards the middle to avoid chip-out. That said, I would still use sacrificial end pieces just to be safe and eliminate chip-out entirely.
