This song about how someone has died, most likely suicide as that is what Amity usually talks about in their songs. The reference to "white" has to do with seeing death. When you die, your eyes roll back and they become white, Joel hints at this many times in the lyrics along with a lot of metaphors using "white" to replace death as well as this verse from the song "I was so blinded by your eyes So blinded by those white lights And dust is now what you’ve become No longer such a fucking bright white light And I can see further then I ever saw" The "White" refers to the theory, when you die you experience a white light before death.
This is lowkey one of their darkest songs. It's also interesting how the first 2/3 of the song is just the same verse and chorus repeated. Normally verse two lyrics would be different
