Thinking about the ACTUAL iCarly website (there was a real iCarly website but it wasn't creepy like this) and the only minigame I remember is one where you dunked the mean teacher into gross shit like clam chowder and toe nails. The 2000s were a strange time
The plot revolves around a mysterious portal that opens up in each of the three shows' universes, causing characters from each to collide. The South Park boys, Stewie from Family Guy, and Bart from the Simpsons find themselves in a strange world where they must work together to figure out how to return home. Meanwhile, their respective families back home must come up with a way to rescue them, leading to epic clashes between the shows' iconic characters. As they navigate the new world, they find themselves facing off against a common enemy who has plans to take over all three universes.
The ultimate animated crossover event sees the South Park gang travel to Springfield to help the Simpsons thwart a diabolical plan hatched by Stewie from Family Guy. Meanwhile, Walter White, now in hiding after faking his own death, crosses paths with Homer Simpson and joins forces with him to take down a new drug lord in town. With hilarious antics, unexpected alliances and plenty of explosive action, this crossover is sure to please fans of all four iconic shows.
After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, high school chemistry teacher Walter White turns to making illegal drugs to financially support his family. But when he discovers a world of underground Pokémon fighting rings, he must use his knowledge of chemistry to create performance-enhancing drugs for his Pokémon. With his partners Jesse Pinkman and Pikachu by his side, Walter becomes a feared figure in the underground Pokémon world, but his questionable methods attract the attention of Team Rocket, who seek to use his expertise for their own gain.
I had a bit of a weird experience on the site as a kid since my name is Sam. After I entered my name in one of the mini-games, it said "Welcome Sam" and just started showing me what looked like a bunch of security camera videos of an apartment building. It kinda looked like the Icarly apartment set, but I remember feeling really freaked out like I was seeing something I wasn't supposed to and closed the browser. Thanks for the memories!
My sister had a similar experience as her name is Carly. I remember us being redirected to an entirely new browser, similarly with a “Welcome Carly” at the top of the page. Although it’s hard to recall, the most significant things I remember were rows and rows of live screen recordings of people playing the website’s mini-games. No idea what that was all about!
My best friend’s name is Freddie. He went onto the website and it said “Hello Freddie” and it showed clips of Freddie getting beaten up by Sam really badly.
my dogs name is gibby. when my dog went on the website the screen said "hello gibby" and then the page re-directed to a mutt n stuff episode before my dog got so scared that he died (my dog has cynophobia)
Honestly, a mini game in which you superimpose faces onto another character's face, with uncanny results, sounds like something that early 2000s Nickelodeon would make.
There actually was a pretty creepy game on iCarly where you had to take things from the principles room and it was terrifying. This is very believable ngl
I'm kinda laughing at all the people saying this was creepy, it's funny and absurd to imagine nickelodeon actually doing this generic creepypasta shit for no reason lol. The slenderman style Freddie's mom game with her sprinting at you at top speed in the woods is such a funny image. For me the humor of this is how absurdly stupid this would be if it were real making it loop around and be funny, along with the narrator parodying all these other channels with his very formal and serious voice talking about the most absurd shit imaginable, making this a goated video altogether 👍
I remember one time the Wheel Of Punishment had me install the "iCarly search bar" to the browser. It would automatically override the built-in one whenever you tried to use it, and had a random chance of replacing your search with phrases like "iCarly fan club", "Sam and Freddie", "pile of human fingernails." It got so annoying my mom had to get the browser reinstalled to get rid of it, and I wasn't allowed to use the site anymore :(
OH! I remember that! There was also a 'random (x)' button on the toolbar that would play a random soundclip related to whatever (x) was, usually 'dancing' obviously. It also had a 'Schneider's Bakery' button off to the side, near the edge. the teal oven logo. If you clicked it after the 'random' button it would do some... really weird stuff. One time it took me to Dan's... uh, 'personal' site. Let's just say, that was the first time I swore in front of my parents.
@@heracrossXD yeah I'm confused what they meant. The site was real for the sake of the show. Just like how the Mario Movie has the website in the commercial scene be a real one.
You didn't mention the "Footies" section, where Spencer would ask for a picture of your "yummy piggies" (idk why he would call toes that) for his latest art project. I remember the website said that if your photo was "cool enough" you could win the chance to meet the show's creator. That was awesome.
A little disappointed to see the "Freddy Got Fingered" minigame unmentioned (which parodied the 2001 film of the same name) simply because of the sheer amount of wet deli meat involved, but I understand that players' reactions to that one weren't as visceral as Spencer Smoothie and Hide And Seek. Good coverage of an obscure topic nonetheless! Looking forward to whatever you put out next
That takes me back. I remember riding the official Freddy Got Fingered ride at Universal with the tunnel of sausages as Freddy sings the "Would you like some Sausage" song. The 2000's were awesome right?
Considering that there's a theory that Spencer is actually Crazy Steve Drake and Josh and that he abducted Megan, wiped out her memory and turned her into her "sister".
I guess the other option would be to go out the window but if you have seen the episode where Carly's room gets burned you would realize that's in a very high floor
I remember one minigame that scared me was “Wake Up Gibby” but not because of the minigame itself, but because throughout the entire minigame this creepy lullaby would constantly loop and sometimes glitch and still play even after the minigame ended
the fact this can actually happen! I was myth hunting on roblox and it had this creepy music. My game crashed and the music kept playing and i had to reboot my pc 😭
I remember there being a message feature where you could interact with different characters of the show. They would mostly give out scripted responses, but Sam creeped me out the most. As we had the same name she kept accusing me of trying to steal her identity, what was worse was that she would always give a low rating. If my score was low enough, she would be the one spinning the wheel of punishment. What was more weird is that I would get unique punishments that my friends did not seem to get, such as submitting an apology video.
I'll never forget the time I played the South Park inspired flash game "Don't eat your friends hand!" with the final boss resembling Dan Schneider in a King Dedede like getup. Considering this was a RNG flash game, you're bound to lose to him 100% of the time. Once you inevitably lose to Dirty Dan, he cuts off your f e e t and hangs them on his wall with everyone else who lost with the phrase "Better luck next time!"
This video is extremely well made cause I thought this was a deep dive into Icarly lost media. It became obvious a minute in but damn this is high quality
I remember when I played on this site, I cried when doing the baby spencer mini game. my parents were really upset and actually emailed the creators of the site because of it. This site is really nostalgic for me.
the part about someone not being able to call the police to report a break in legitimately scared me, the idea of trying to hide from an intruder while your phone is constantly ringing and blaring music is so unnerving to me
I really like how the fake horror content in this is very nuanced. Like, it's believable that these games could be real, because they're mostly in line with the "random zany" humor of icarly, with very slight off elements. Something like this definitely has potential to be an ARG series. There's something to appreciate about how the content rides a thin line between "disturbing" and "believable."
I remember watching my older sister play on the iCarly site when I was young. Our favorite minigame was based off the episode iPie, where you had to sneak through Mr Galini's restaurant to find the recipe of the pie, and then make the pie with the other characters (Spencer, Carly, Sam, etc) but sometimes there was a glitch where Spencer's head would glitch into the oven when you were putting the pie in. Once you finished the pie Freddie would judge it and rate it 1/10, but if you got a rating below 5, it would play a stop motion-esque animation of Freddie spitting up the pie and it would play a loud booing crowd sound for about 5 minutes that couldn't be stopped. One time my sister got grounded because it kept playing while our parents were watching a movie. Crazy.
Before I realized this was a parody I was expecting you to touch on the two actual jumpscare videos on the website, the crying robot video where Spencer tells you to look at his robot sculpture until it looks like it's crying, and the Find the Banana video where Sam tasks you with finding a banana hidden somewhere in the frame
The Spencer one at least had Spencer himself come from the side of the screen and scare you. He also apologised. The Sam one I think had her wear some weird mask.
Damn, you had me for like a whole minute, i love this sort of videos where they don't really say it's all made up even if it obviously is, i find it so cool and creative.
I don't know why, but the "SPRINT" bar and "YOU DIED" being in comic sams actually makes it morw creepy. Usually comic sans breaks my emersion for literally anything, since it's so recognizable, but something about it just adds to the uneasy feeling. Maybe because it so perfwctly matches the early 2000s, maybe because games use it, I'm not sure. (Also, the fact that Freddy's mom kills the player character in that is really weird. Never expected an official Nickelodeon kids' website to say "YOU DIED" like that.)
This has the same energy as the person behind "Lacey's Flash Games" who in one of the videos writes "yeah check out this weird game that has something unsettling, anyone else see this content?" (In the best way possible) - hope to see more from you in the future
3:48 YOU WANNA KNOW WHO ELSE'S GOAL FOR THIS VIDEO TO HAVE A NEW SOURCE OF ARCHIVAL FOR THOSE IN SEARCH OF ANSWERS REGARDING THE OLD WEBSITE'S HISTORY? MY MOM!!
Honestly the prank call part seemed so believably tragic, imagine how terrifying it would be hearing the iCarly themesong blaring from your phone instead of emergency services and hear the footsteps getting closer as you're attempting to turn the volume down
this is an awesome production! tbh, the old disney channel website had a lot of games that genuinely scared me. this would be back in the late 90s/early 00s. one of them was a game where all you did was put food in a fridge, then time would speed up and a few days would pass, and you opened the fridge again and the food was rotten and disgusting. like why was that a game?!
My mom was a stay at home mom. Ever since that night at the Alvin and the chipmunks concert, I would watch iCarly. I loved the show so much, that I’d go on the website. I played one of the games, and hated it. I played Gibby’s games, but didn’t put my phone number in. I didn’t want to get in trouble so I just forgot about the website after a few days later. Thank you for showing people the weird content on that website. Still gives me chills.
please continue your research on these topics. there’s so much that we have forgotten, maybe even repressed, that needs to be seen. you are the one to show us. you are my jesus.
oh my god this is actually way too realistic, i really loved this and i hope you could make more videos about obscure and forgotten websites, and the fact that you could make iCarly creepy just shows how amazing you are at making stuff, keep up the good work!!!
Underrated youtuber, soon I imagine these videos will start to tie in to each other and im happy to have been here on the ground level due to graggle lol
Does anyone remember the 'Hobo Pinata' game where they hung a homeless guy up by his feet and you just had to hit him with a bat until it said you were done?
I didn't realize this was a joke until 3:15. Well done! Your narration came across as authoritative and the minigames you were talking about looked somewhat legitimate.
This feels like if someone was part of a creepy pasta but instead of freaking out figured it was working as intended and made a video essay about it. "Hey guys, remember when that N64 Mario game was able to manipulate your room lights and had a Mario that spoke your name? Nintendo really knocked it out of the park with this tech! Wish they had the same level of innovation today "
Tbh a game where you compile your mini game adventures into an episode for the characters to rate seems like a good idea, minus the horror lol. Them being the judges reminds me a lot of Webkinz. (And yes I know this is all fake lol, but it’s very well made!)
This is really good Analog Horror tbh. I like how its more grounded then others. Like when you're can't call emergency, bc you got some punishment, or weird games. 9/10, Keep Going!
I remember this. I remember playing the baby Spencer game, but something weird happened in my playthrough when I finished drinking the Spencer shake. I started walking to the other characters no longer in a 2d Flash space, while the applause glitched out. I found myself out in the forest there after trying to press E to speak to them about 8 times. I tried to walk around for a while while a white buzzing noise started getting louder, for probably around 5 minutes, before I encountered Freddy's mom who seemed to be ran through a desaturation filter, and was faceless, but not just with the face cut out, it was a detailed void photoshopped onto her head. I avoided her, as you do in any game, by the time I arrived to Sockos house I saw a weird texture with Lewbert off in the distance in one of the walls. No matter how many times I approached it thought he seemed to phase out by the time I tried to catch him watching me. I eventually went to Spencer, and as I began to talk to him the entire iCarly cast including Freddy's mom, all now faceless like her appeared, instead the only text I got was "One day your actions will have reckoning, and God will not be merciful." I then heard knocking from my basement. But the only people who used to be there were long dead bodies of the child slaves I kept locked inside. My computer then shut itself off, personally I blame Microsoft for their poor operating systems and Nick's optimization of the games.
Finally. No one ever knows what I'm talking about when I ask if they remember this stuff. Now I just need someone to document the Victorious game Rex's Puppet Show. Where Rex acts out an episode of Victorious by puppeting the cast's unconscious bodies.
This is so good because im ngl I can see some of thise mini ganes being true. Immediate fan. The editing and dedication to these jokes are amazing. I can tell how fun they were to make keep if up!
The most freaky part was a video in which Sam has you play a game in which you need to find a banana in the studio..... As she leave and silence fills the air, you think it may be in the window- a creature suddenly jumps in front of you, screeching!... This isn’t a joke this actually happened on the website XD.
Was specifically looking though the comments to see if anyone mentioned this, this is 100% real and was probably the first thing that genuinely jumpscared me as a kid lmao. Edit: Turns out the video is actually still available on youtube: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X83EWCvusp0.html
This video is objectively not that scary but the music changes/cuts actually sent chills down my spine, this format of video is amazing and so creepy 😂
yooo i remember these! a less known piece of info is that victorious had games like these also. i specifically remember the "Rex Powers religious church experience" where robbie would have like a church that you could explore point and click style. i remember it ending with the player getting crucified or something like that. you couldn't exit out or close the game until your character died in like 2 days or so. maybe these are made by the same devs!
Absolutely hilarious and very well made. I sat for minutes trying to dissect whatever the hell the thumbnail and title were trying to communicate to my brain before I finally clicked, which I'm nearly positive was the intended purpose. But hey, it worked, because I was so fucking confused that I watched it anyways. And I don't regret it! I've found a new niche that I didn't know I liked. Subscribed!
Even though there’s not that much videos on this guy‘s account, this is definitely worth a subscribe. The amount of work put in these videos are beautiful even though they’re they’re not actually real like they’re annoying orange one and made for humor or I think humor I don’t know I love watching them and it’s pretty cool that they actually edited the chipmunk punk album made in 1981 for the Alvin and the chipmunk video beautiful work put into this channel and great quality and pretty, spooky love it keep up the work:3
I remember my parents freaking out after I played one of these. I don't really remember that much, but I've havent seen my uncle since then and my parents talk like he has never existed lol.
The project is an interesting satire take on the analog horror seriese. Although it was intended to be a joke, it does capture some concepts from the era of the early 2000s. If this were an actual site, the theory would probably be that it was a fale site created by criminals to get kids to put in their information and render their home vulnerable to being robbed, likely being the reason that the fictional domain would be bought by nickalodian and redirect to their website instead. Overall an interesting take on the analog/digital horror side of the internet.
i remember being on it all the time and it was a legit site ... then yeah nick pulled the plug on a part of my childhood it really gave the show a bit of immersion to have something you could interact with yourself
