I wholeheartedly disagree. The rythym is clunky and hard to get into, and the synths almost sound like they're trying too hard to sound dark and gritty, but just end up sounding kind of... Not right. Like when you're playing a piece of music and you don't realize it's in G major, and you accidentally play an F natural and it clashes hard with everything else and you cringe out of your asshole.
@@beautifulmanstan8840 you have some good points, I think you're really love doom like we all do, and the music is not really outstanding but, with or without mick, we have to accept what Id has done and I think Andrew tried his best, you know it's not that little of a deal having to wear shoes as big as a company like doom and they have a lot pressure maybe he had fear that he would riun it and so didn't go crazy on davoth
no offence, but compared to gordon's music for doom eternal, TAG music sounds like mish mash of generic epic bullshit and metal glitch stuff gordon used a lot in doom 2016
@@angeltensey I wouldn't be that harsh. It never surpasses Mick's work but some tracks I'd say are just as good (ex. Immora, Reclaimed Earth, Trial of Maligog) they just don't have the base games intensity. However the one part in the dark lord theme were it just goes sooo hard has the to be my favorite part of any doom boss music.
“For too long have I been imprisoned by my own creations, you will not stop my vengeance, not the one who betrayed me. Tell him” “ he is the first being… and my creator, when he fell.. I ascended” “ They lied to you slayer, Immora and it’s people would’ve been perfect if not for the treachery of my servants. They sealed me away, stole my power and name. And now the time has come for a reckoning. As all things were made by my hand, so shall they be unmade, starting with YOU”
It has nothing to do with the song but something I've always been thinking is that in David Levy's original score reel video the Trial of Maligog part sounds very similar to Mick Gordon's famous 666 in Cyberdemon
i was gonna correct you with mortals but mortlas sounds pretty cool and would easily fit the tongue of the sentinels as a battlecry or the name of a warrior
Haha nice! I'll give you a shout, maybe a week tbh. Can add the ambience loops to the flac folder too if that's any use for D&D (Blood Swamps, Immora & The Holt)
@@doomenthusiast I don't know what political opinions you express on YT but almost every comment you make gets automodded. And NGL on console on nightmare this guy was a huge learning curve for me. Goddamn sword grows when he swings it
@@IconOfSin I try not to say political opinions if I don’t have to, but I will try to make my comments longer, hope that helps? And I am planning on doing the DLCs again as well, idk when though.
Bro, I have a doubt, do you have or know the name of the soundtrack rhat is on the trailer in the portals scene? (I guess is the same that is in portals cinematic) I couldn't find it haha
The important part of my response is this so I'm writing it first: check out David Levy's YT channel for a sick teaser of this track, it's one of his shorts : ru-vid.comdDC7ywaqvsA?feature=share Also here at 3m10s ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--AkbDMpgAd0.html So because its a cutscene there are effects on that track to prevent it from clashing with voices, sounds etc, unfortunately these effects are baked into the file and so it sounds terrible and I refuse to upload it. You can find it though, "Immora cinematic OST", "Immora intro OST", "Immora Cutscene OST", some people call it Immora "Endgame" , "portal scene" etc (also note none of the songs for the OST have official names, even Levy still calls them by Immora light/heavy combat etc). But as I said above, just listen to the snippet Levy uploaded and pray for an official release.
@@IconOfSin Don't you think this just sounds kind of flat? I mean, it's not BAD, but it certainly leaves a lot to be desired. It's just fight music, it doesn't have an emotional air of conclusiveness.
@@bosh2042 Both aspects were rushed and underwhelming, really. The Dark Lord's AI wasn't aggressive enough and neither were Hulshult's riffs. It's just a storm of dilute mediocrity, and it hurts my feELINGS
not sure you can say the music was rushed, it's pace fits the pace of the fight very comfortably. it is lacking an epic drop like the only thing they fear is you but ultimately that wouldn't have gone with the dark lord's fight in its current state. of course the boss is underwhelming and was rushed, but Hugo has explained why on stream
