Thank you for highlighting anti-inflammatory foods! I have MS and one of the ways that I live well with it is with a whole food plant based diet. Sweet potatoes are one of my favorites!
This looks fantastic. I have RA so am constantly looking for anti-inflammatory recipes. Thanks for this one, and thanks for including a link to the written recipe.
SO MAD! ANDREW! I've been plant based for 5 years. How have I missed this garlic roasting technique? I was like... OOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhh! DAAAAAAANG! Game Changer! Tips and tricks... Tips and tricks... It's one of those, How old were you when you learned...? And the kids laughing at all the times you said "nuts"; I suspect their's some genetics involved :). Stay amazing and thanks for the work you do on the interwebs. Hope you enjoyed the trip. PEEEEAAAAACE!
On those really hot days sweet potatoes go in the crockpot, takes like 3hrs but if you do them that morning or the night before they’ll be ready for dinner. Oil or vegan butter and salt on the skin and the skins are delicious as well.
THANKS ANDREW! THIS RECIPE LOOKS FANTASTIC! I SAW THE THUMBNAIL AND TRIED TO FIGURE OUT ALL THE INGREDIENTS BEFORE GOING TO THE VIDEO AND TOTALLY MISSED IT---I THOUGHT THE BROC WAS ASPARAGUS! BUT IT WAS FUN JUST TRYING TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT---ANYWAY...THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! B.I.G.BELEIVE IN GOOD
I may start eating some of this food if you promise it will make me look as healthy and pretty as you. 😊 Nice video, food looks actually looks amazing!
You know it's good, when the thumbnail makes you want to eat!! But seriously these are all mu favorite things in one recipe. Sweet Potatoes, nuts, beans, tahini!! Thank you so much
I love all your recipes, and I love how you do a debrief at the end where you talk about substitutions and alterations. I wish all recipe content creators would do that!!! It helps me come up with modifications for different loved ones' dietary preferences/restrictions, and gives such useful info, such as the baking vs. roasting sweet potato part in this video. Absolutely incredible content! Thankful that you share this with us completely free!
Love all the extras you add in your comments so it makes me feel like you won’t be offended if I don’t use oil. I can easily adapt but I love your flavor combinations! This recipe uses all my favorites! Happy to subscribe for more!

So I made this for dinner tonight. Slight alterations were using the dark red sweet potatoes that are white inside and substituting frozen broccoli and cauliflower for the fresh broccolini. The potato didn't seem as sweet as the orange ones which actually was nice being just a little more savory. Fresh broccoli or broccolini would have been nice, but not in my fridge today. Anyways, it was delicious, such a unique flavor profile. My husband, who doesn't always eat the way I do, has asked for it to be on regular rotation. He appreciated that little bit of cinnamon that gave the subtle holiday vibe. This would be a great dish for a vegan Thanksgiving.
Just in time...👌🏾 I just received my 4lb package of junior pecan halves yesterday!😂 I will try them first using your recipe!🤜🏾🤛🏾 🙏🏿Thanks for always inspiring us to get in the kitchen and cook up something healthy and delicious!🤜🏾🤛🏾
this looks yummy but I dont have all those tools. I need to download your recipe and see how to do this. the whole thing speaks to me on a cellular level.
Goodafternoon andrew 😊looks delicious as usual 😋 I've got 3 sweet potatoes now I know what I can do with them 😉hope you're mouth is feeling better 🙏🏽❤😊❤
This is great! Once again (think every one I’ve watched so far) I have everything I need for this without a trip to the market, bc I can use some subs! It’s almost as if our market lists are the same…😂 So sorry you’re still healing from your tooth. Gentle rinsing after eating should help get that out…perhaps even a saline type. I’d definitely chew on opposite side, and if still having trouble definitely get re-evaluated. Pay attention to it since it can easily trap food til it heals and it won’t heal properly if it does trap food. If it gets more sore, go back. Sorry for all the hints, but previous ICU RN, and had 3 teenagers that all went through this. You could perhaps even just call the oral surgeons ofc and ask. Thank you for another great inspiration! Certainly gets my appetite going on Sundays, as well as enthusiasm 🥳 heal, be gentle with your tooth area and keep safe! 🙏🏻🫶🏻✌🏻xx
we for sure have the same grocery list! 😂 ITS SO COOL!! and thank you so so much for all the tips. i do have a check up this week. hopefully the healing is going in the right direction! 🙏🏾❤️🫶🏾
Ugh man I totally feel you on the wisdom tooth area and food feeling like it’s stuck in there!! It was the worrrrrrst, don’t worry your mouth kind of just adjusts to it after awhile! Thanks for the recipe, keep em comin my friend! 🙏🏼🫶🏼
I had the same issue with food getting stuck in a "pocket" which can form when the wisdom teeth are moving, according to a dentist that I had to see because it was getting infected and causing pain. I was given antibiotics and a small flushing tool in order to remove any food etc. to prevent future infection. It finally went away on its own a month or so later.
thanks for sharing! i was looking into a water floss thing. hoping it would help clear the debris. i have a check up this week. we'll see if healing is progressing in the right direction 🙏🏾
Shredded sweet potatoe takes 10 mins. Sauté gently with some oil of choice..... after they are tender, you can then whip them. But you won't want to. This way of cooking preserves the nutrition that is lost in boiling, and cuts down on cook time of baking. I only use this sauté method anymore due to these the important benefits. I also keep the skins, which are loaded with the most vitamins content. Yum. Enjoy your life!
I have gigantic teeth; and so at the age of 15 my 4 wisdom teeth had to be extracted. I’m 46 now and no regrets. Good luck man! Thanks for another great dish!
i still got 3 in. those havent bothered me and the dentist recommended i leave them alone. i was like "if they feel like this other one when they come through, you must sedate me now and remove" 😂. hopefully they stay at bay 🙏🏾
good question! its a main. everything is eaten together. its like a hummus bowl with random veggies. expect with sweet potatoes! although the addition of bread to scoop it up would be geniously delicious! 🤤
Oops, I did it again...watching your videos before breakfast is SUCH a bad idea. PS: it's normal for food to get in the socket while it's healing, but not ideal. Avoid chewing on that side for a while and do a gentle, repeat, gentle rinse after eating. Also, one of my biggest gripes is "you shoulds" in YT comments, so forgive me, but I've ridden the wisdom tooth train a couple of times and want your healing to go well.
stop it! this is great advice. and we're pretty much like family. using YT comments as our 'touch points'. thank you for sharing! ill do this moving forward 🙏🏾❤️
I just made this dish but it was too sweet 3 tbsps maple syrup across the recipe is way too much. Will make it again and omit the maple syrup from the sweet potatoes.
