the apartment window update changes EVERYTHING 

Now we campaign for the apartment DOOR update

simsie and those who don't know, you can actually remove the pipes and other annoying objects (related to the apartment traits) by going into live mode and clicking on them while pressing shift. after you click on the object, an option to delete it should appear. i discovered this when i accidentally deleted a whole building from san myshuno :D

For a second I thought there was somehow a NEW apartment window update that's different from the For Rent update and I got excited 😂

I love the way simsie talks about how small it is. By NYC standards this is an absolutely massive apartment.

You should renovate the eco lifestyle apartment now with all the new stuff that work in that style

i hope doors are next, i found it so hard to build a variety of styles in the apartments with the old restrictions

YOU CAN MOVE THE BODY OUTLINE AND GRATE. If you create a room around the body outline or the grate and then move the room, they will move with it. That way you can put them under the bed, or in the bathroom, etc! :)

Fun fact, this type of easel is for outdoors. All the legs are adjustable so you can paint on uneven terrain ;) Love the build

i know everybody always comments about the colours kayla is wearing and how they compliment her skin and eyes and hair and whatever.... BUT THIS BLUE IS SO CUTE ON KAYLA! it makes her hair look so much warmer, and her skin so clear!

Idk if other viewers feel the same way, but I never care if I actually own the packs used in a build. I just like watching stuff get made. Plus, it's kinda fun to replace missing items when I download a build that used packs I didn't have.

love that city living (and eco lifestyle) apartments are just in game shell challenges now (but you cant fully change the outside)

painter’s note: never store canvases near pipes! the heat and humidity can warp the wooden frame

i dont need to remove the bad lot traits i need to add them to other lots

they shouldve made it so that when you edit the windows it automatically changes the fake apartments windows to match (i know that would be very hard and a bit unrealistic but it would be cool)

I love this so much! You're going to convince me to buy more dlc. I have 7 expansion packs, 4 game packs, 7 stuff packs, and the Desert Luxe Kit. I've never bought any of them full price, but I might finally break for Book Nook. It's so lovely.

I find this really annoying when I download apartments from the gallery, because I have to bulldoze the apartment to do it, which deletes the windows, and the gallery apartments inevitably don't.

My daughter Luciana loves the the sims and your videos and sims. Your videos make her smile.

little tip : if you bulldoze the lot the body outline, pipes ect go away :)

For anyone wondering, you *can* "cheat" the TLC trait away (sort of). It's sort of a long process and definitely a pain (I'm also not sure if it still works, someone will have to fact check me since I haven't updated TS4 in months). Basically, remove literally everything from the apartment, *literally* everything, leaving only the TLC stuff (rat hole, pipes, body outline, whatever it is you want to get rid of). Then just don't pay your bills until the Repoman comes. They should repossess the TLC object. The trait will still be there, but there won't be any objects throwing TLC-related interactions. Edit: apparently you can also do this with TwistedMexi's All Cheats mod, then shift-clicking and deleting them. The above method should still work for console users or anyone who doesn't want to use mods.

if you have mc command center, shift click on the pipes or the mouse hole and click delete object to get rid of them!

I recently renovated this exact apartment too, what a coincidence! You really upgraded the space despite its small size, it looks lovely! I had my legacy heir move into his own space in the city, and I made it into a one-bedroom apartment instead, quite happy with the results actually. My floor plan ended up being that I right as you come in, there's a small entry area with hangers and storage, and the bathroom is kinda in the same space as yours/the original. Then there's a hallway leading to the kitchen, I had it in the same space as the original but moved all the cabinets and appliances by the south-facing wall instead, and a small table by the window. The space you made into the kitchen/dining room is where I put the bedroom, and the space where you made the kids bedroom is where I put the living room, with the TV and a desk facing east. I think that floor plan worked out really well, I ended up using the same big windows as it originally had, but two in the living room and one in the bedroom. Love this new update!

I've been able to move the floor vent and body outline by putting it in its own room, then moving the room.

seeing you use my favorite color makes this instanly my favorite renovation, not a fan of green but you made it go so well i liked how it all came out

When I renovated this apartment I put the kitchen where you have the living area. I put a rug down and an island to cover the chalk line. Dining table went where you have the kitchen now. I love the purple and green!

for a second i thought this was an accidental upload, she did the same window update, same apartment 2 months ago but this one has a different shirt and interior 😂

The only problem I ran into was one apartment had full size windows and the siding wasn't filled in where the window were, so I was forced to keep the same windows in place.

It's a crime scene...but we can change the windows so it's fine

just a tip: if you want to remove the needs tlc items in the apartments (such as the pipes grates or fuse boxes) you can go into live mode and shift click on them and there’s a debug delete button! it also works with the historical plaques on historical lots!! however, the trait is still there so things will still break often i believe :/

No such thing as too much purple. I love the color scheme, I used it in one of my recent builds as well, and as you say is so peaceful.

I don't recall, but if a bathroom rug doesn't hide that drain, you can slightly elevate the rug pressing 9 on the keyboard 😊
