One of the many things that stands out to me so much about this album is how humble everyone involved was and still is. Nas wanted to give him an executive producer credit, but he refused it. They all wanted Nas to get the shine.

just saw DJ Premier's vid the production talent on Illmatic might have been one of the greatest collabs of some of the best producers in hip hop history. I remember when I first bought Illmatic, 25th Anniversary?...DAMN I'M OLD!

To be able to say that he not only played on illmatic but put Nas on in terms of giving him his first industry appearance on a record: Live At the Barbecue, how many people could say that other than Large Pro what a life he has lived and a career he has had! Breaking Atoms by Main Source is one of those HIP-HOP albums that I literally had the rare mint import version shipped in all the way from Japan and I was happy to pay extra for it too!
