I bought 4 of these for use in an air mini, they work great.

I watched quite a few fan reviews, but have never seen an illustration of the differences in air flow amount with no obstruction, mesh and solid front panel respectively. Nicely done! I was always wondering what the ball park of their impact was. Looks like the F14's are a good candidate for a near silent build when using a case with decent air flow properties. One could just set them to 800 or 1000 rpm and have a constant, decent air flow at noise floor levels.

@VeritasEtAequitas 5 месяцев назад
Yes, the F is for flow, for cases.... the P is for pressure-optimized, for radiators and air coolers. They tell you this if you read about them.

I just purchased a 5 pack of these. I'm surprised at how much air it pushes at just 1350RPM and it's really quiet too. I find it's not only quieter than my Fractal Aspect but also seems to push as much if not more air at 1350rpm than the aspect at 1700rpm while being much quieter. Arctic really makes the most efficient fans at the best prices

I've been on the fence for a while when it came between the F14 vs the P14 (both PWM PST) and I think this video helped solidify my future purchase on the 5 pack of F14s, it looks like they'll be solid fans on the case I want to purchase as well (NZXT H7 Flow) as it isn't closed panel but mesh front, which should do well as similar to the testing results. Nice video.

Ordered 2 of these for front intake, but I wonder if I should have just ordered the P14s instead since they're a bit quieter

Hi, i have a nzxt h6 flow and you could mount 2 140mm fans for bottom intake. It would be behind a mesh panel, but at the bottom. Would you recommend these or the P14 for this situation. I am wondering how much of an affect having the fans at the bottom would affect the fans ability to take in air.
@HardwareForGamers
@HardwareForGamers 4 месяца назад
The feet look like they give a good amount of space, so I think both fans would work just fine.

I have the 4000D Airflow with stock fans and the Noctua D14 as the CPU cooler. Would you recommend the Arctic F14 5 pack with 3 front panel intakes, 1 rear out and 1 top-rear out as the optimal solution for cooling and silence? Looking for the coolest, most silent, budget friendly balance. Thanks!

if i want the quietest perfomance while moving the higest amount of air possible, what would be the best option: 2 f14 o 3 f12? as intake on a mesh front panel
@HardwareForGamers
@HardwareForGamers Год назад
🤔 I'm not sure, that would be really hard to properly test. Both options will work well, but if you were too noisy normalize I think the 2 F14's would be moving just slightly more air. I do think they'd be very close.

About to build a new pc useing the define 7 xl which fan would you recommend. Id like a good movong for air sesne ill be aor cooling it. And its a closed off front. So im thinking the p14 correct
@HardwareForGamers
@HardwareForGamers 9 месяцев назад
The P14's or P12's as front intake for sure. You might be able to get away with using the stock fractal fans as exhaust, but I would use the Arctic F14's or P14's as the exhaust fans.

@HardwareForGamers
@HardwareForGamers Год назад
I have not tested the Phanteks fans so far, so it's hard to say. But I think going with the Arctic fans is the better deal. Now F14 vs P14 really depends on your case and system needs.
@kloyt
@kloyt Год назад
Hey, thanks for the in-depth review. Building my first ITX system in the Phanteks Evolv Shift 2 Air. The case came with one exhaust fan so I need an intake for the bottom side. This fan is one of the cheapest 140mm fans I could find from a reputable brand. Would you recommend this for my case as an intake or is there a better option? I don't have that many 140mm options in Turkey, and ones around this fan's price are ID-COOLING WF-14025, Fractal Design Silent R3, Deep Cool UF140, Be Quiet BL087 and Arctic Bionix F140. I put them in order, starting from the cheapest and going all the way up to the most expensive, about 10 dollars (200 liras) difference between the ID-COOLING and Arctic Bionix fans. I know I'm asking for a lot but if someone knowledgeable enough reading this comment could drop a tip, it would be great 🙏🏻
@HardwareForGamers
@HardwareForGamers Год назад
Based off the Shift 2 Air and your options, I would say the Arctic F14 or the ID-COOLING WF-14025 are the 2 best choices.

Am I able to connect a Arctic P12 PWM PST 0dB ARGB or a F12 PWM fan to a few F14 PWM PST fans as case intake? Can I
@HardwareForGamers

Can you, yes. But they will all be running at the same PWM %. Meaning you won't be able to have zones (for intake and exhaust or CPU or GPU)

@@HardwareForGamersthanks! They seem to not be available here in canada as they are either out of stock or priced insanely high at nearly $50 a pop. I think I’ll just go for the standard F14 as with no impedance, they seem to move the most air. Friend, I would like your help in deciding which fans to buy, I'm building a new machine with an NZXT H7 flow case, I'm going to use a 14900k + 4090 with a noctua DH-15, I need 6 140mm fans with better air flow, I'll use 3 x 140 at the front, 2 x 140 at the top as an air intake and 1 x 140 at the back as an exhaust fan. I have already researched several fans and have not been able to find a brand that is silent and at the same time has good airflow to cool the internal components well. Thank you for your attention.
@HardwareForGamers
@HardwareForGamers 2 месяца назад
Not sure what you mean by "silent" but the Be Quiet Silent Wings 4 HS or non HS and the Be Quiet Light Wings HS or non HS are really good fans, a bit pricey but good. And always set up a fan curve that meets your needs. You can use a program like fan control or the UEFI.
@Thebossreserve
@Thebossreserve 2 месяца назад
What would be the ideal fan for this case configuration? I was thinking about using 6 F14 PWM PST, 3 at the front as input, 2 at the top as input and 1 at the back as exhaust, what do you think? Remembering that I will use a Noctua DH-15 aircooler or a smaller one.

@@Thebossreserve there are lots of fans that would be good. Arctic F14's, Be Quiet Silent Wings 4, Be Quiet Light Wings (if you want aRGB) it would depend on what look you want or are going for.

7:41 I cannot understand how can be such a huge difference in the airflow between the Arctic F14 PWM and the Arctic F14 PWM PST. 170 vs 92? Almost double? These are basically the same coolers, are not they? The only difference is that the PST can be "daisy chained" (PST=PWM Sharing Technology) , am I right?

yes it is for your exhaust fan. the description itself says everything. blowing more volume of air out onto a place that has no restriction. there will never be no restriction in your pc case but outside the case there is no restriction.
