I try to post 6 videos per month. I post videos Wednesday morning. (7am ET) and sometimes on Sunday. (7am ET)
Thanks for the info & testing, Erik! 👍🏼 I'm replacing the stock (3 pin) rgb fans in an *MSI Gungnir 120R* case (for a new build), and I think these P12's are just what I need. I don't want rgb lighting on the fans and, while it's really nice looking, I also don't think the front panel on this MSI case will breathe very well without some help. /subscribe (I _am_ a Noctua fanboi, btw, but I'm also dirt poor. 😝)
Is a Ryzen 7 5700x3d (105 max tdp) with a Rx 6750 xt and a 600w gold power supply enough? My current card is a Gtx 1660OC that consumes a maximum of 125w, I believe that another 100w in a good quality 600w gold power supply would not be a problem.
TDP means nothing. The 6750xt calls for or recommends a 650w PSU. With that said, The Ryzen 7 5700x3d can pull upwords of 142 watts (PPT) and this 6750xt can pull upwords of 285w (would need to be OCed), so let's say 150w + 290w =440w. That means +/- 160w for the rest of the systems components (motherboard, SSDs, fans (fan controlers), and what ever else) which is likely do able...
I guess he didn't test anything. He simply drew graphs with low values. He drew the same low values in the test at 6:55. But in this test, low is better. He forgot about it.
you actually helped me so much i was trying to sell my pc and the buyer was 20 minutes away and when i turned on the pc there was no display it was one of my ram sticks messing up
how do i reinstall my gpu, i cannot fit it back in and i dont want to take apart the case. im so fucking frustrated rn i hate pcs the littlest bit messes up and everythings fucked and its so dumb
if i use push pull unfortunately the pull fan and rear exhaust case fan more like kiss each other (like stacking fan) is this will make an issue in future? or should i stick with push only cpu cooler?
Mine is running consistently at late 70’s core temps and even up to 85c when playing ultra high settings on most games with 1440p (get great frame rates though). Is it normal for temps to run hot on this card, have you found the same?
Max hot spot temperature for RDNA 2 GPUs is 115c. Temperature has a number of factors case, room temp, and fan speed. As long as you don't get that hot theres no issue.
@@HardwareForGamers I have a phanteks p400a case with 6 120mm up here rgb fans and I plan to add a second 120mm fan to the deepcool ag400 blk CPU cooler.
Ordered a Zalman i6 case (black). I want to install fans under the video card. thin. What fan do you recommend to be quieter than the graphics card fans?
Just picked one of these up for free (new, unopened) on FB Marketplace but now I'm not sure if I'm going to use it at all. Hmm. Edit. Actually just found a 114mm hole saw in my shed. So I think this weekend I'm going to attack it with that and see how I get on. I'm going to cut out hole in the bottom for a bottom fan to provide fresh air to the GPU. I'll 3D print some taller feet so that the case is raised about 2cm. I'm also going to cut a hole in the rear exhaust so that my 120mm AIO CPU cooler has uninterrupted airflow outwards. I'll probably going to leave the front and top panels alone (don't want to risk the aesthetics at this point), and just fit 2x140mm in the front and 1x140mm in the top rear.
This software needs an open UEFI to work properly. it's also possible you may need to activate or deactivate (depending on motherboard) "smart fan" in the UEFI. you may want to check this vid out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6PkB2XqcOz8.html
Thermal paste instructions with this leave a bit to be desired for a novice as it states 'apply the thermal paste' which is supplied in the box, however, if you apply the thermal paste, as in all of it youll have a big mess lol
I’ve been using the white version on my 3600 and it performs perfectly fine as it idles around 35c and under load around 50c. It’s not loud, even at 100%. I find temps are no different at 50% so I just keep it there
I recommend to get the non FX version. Has the same nice RGB on the block covering the CPU with none on the fans. I bought recently due to the fact that it was the cheapest available 360 AIO I could find at $105 or so. Works just as well as anything else for much less money.
I have this case, I don’t recommend it if you have a beefy gpu/cpu. The front panel causes a massive problem for air flow. I’ve had to remove the front panel and buy dust covers to go around the fans just to reduce the temp, my gpu (RTX 3070) was running at 89-92 degrees and now it’s down to 76-80
Using the ak400 for my 5800x3d in an Inwin A1 (yeah quite a hotbox) and it keeps it cool most of the time (there could be times when cpu reaches 90c, usually during games shader compilation but other than that, really good cooler for normal everyday use)
Good to download CPU-Z and check the timings that the XMP settings actually launch into. Have found with many boards, even though running at the xmp profile speed in MHz the Xmp timing profile, if individual timings are set at "auto" good chance they are not running per the XMP profile. Even possible to increase latency even though you have increased MHz if timings are too loose. Something to keep an eye out for. Need on many occasions to adjust settings like CAS manually in bios to ensure you are getting benefit of higher MHz.
I just bought one, but stuffed it in the closet because I realized that I was overreacting to the idle temps of my current setup. This overreaction prompted me to re-paste the CPU, clean out the radiator, clean out the fans, adjust pump curves, and uninstall various bits of bloatware (e.g. Logi Options+ and G-Hub were adding 5°C to my idle temps). But I'm not installing it just yet. Either my current AIO will eventually develop a real problem, or else I will find myself building a new computer. Then, that sucker comes out of the closet.
I am between this and the musetex y6 but I want to buy an air cooler deepcool ak 620 + 9 fans (TL-S12), do you think this configuration is bad for cases like this? I'm using a 7600x with 7800xt gpu, Thank you in advance! Great video 💪🏻
I've not tested the TL-S12's, but I believe they with preform much better than these stock fans. as for the AK 620 it will work, but not ideally. this case is meant / designed to have a liquid cooler for the CPU.
