Love the bit in the affair sketch when he transitions from pure unbridled rage to just mild irritation at the bins

During the pregnancy bit, I forgot what compilation I was watching for a second, so the joke worked the way it was intended for me.

The son coming out one is just so brilliant.

This is in a similar tangent to the "Kill Them" sketches; a recurring joke where the humour is less derived of the situation, but rather from the subversion of expectations. However, where "Kill them" is positive and goes dark at the end, this starts negative and goes much lighter.

And yet, given there are no empty bins out, they seem to be the only ones who did remember.

How timely, as this very morning ... I too forgot to put the bins out.

When Armstrong says “Nathaniel! Your daughter’s took ill” he sounds a lot like Laurence Rickard from horrible histories, and this combined with the fact that several actors from that series have appeared in sketches in this made me think it actually was him until I saw it was not him and was actually Armstrong

Black bins (general) are collected 1 in 3 up here so if you miss it, it's 6 works worth. Missing bin day is serious stuff.

How to tell the same joke a dozen times and it still be as funny the last time as the first. There are many many comics who would dearly love to possess that valuable skill. But then again not many of them wind up as quiz show hosts

I'd forgotten to put the bin out and I was running up the street in my PJs dragging the wheelie bin behind me shouting at the top of my voice and the truck stopped. I have never been so grateful for anything in my entire life.

great stuff! thought the writers missed a trick with the son coming out sketch. son confesses to parents who turn out to be caring, loving and understanding about his sexuality. but then, choking over his tea, he confesses he forgot to take the bins out... followed by mayhem as his folks totally lose it, beat him over the head with inflatable goldfish and other comedy props!
