I loved his gallery. He was very curious and responsive. He had IT and knew how to see IT. Love your commentary - what a life! Keep it going . . . live it --beyond the walls! ART and LIFE are a mix . . .

I am going to do what this did in Jamaica. I feel I will get that art gallery that will change things in the Caribbean. I am touch!!! This is the greatest documentary I have ever seen about the visual arts and art gallery. Please keep his dreams alive. wow wow. Thanks. I am an artist too. Christopher Irons from Jamaica, remember this name.

Absolutely superb movie about attorney Allan Stone's obsession with the fringes of the art world and immersion into the art world. I love the interior design of his home, shown early in the movie. There is a collector (also formerly in the legal profession) in Southern California with a personal collection of primitive art that may rival that of Allan. Such art does have an energy, and its addictive.

I can relate to this story. I'm a collector and I feel love for some objects. I feel like they are happy I found them and gave them a home where they are admired and cared for. I am probably nuts.

No Gaita, Not nuts. Rather it sounds more like you have a deep appreciation for crafted things and I guess them to be either oddly unique or whimsical in nature. I'm a collector myself of many loved things.

There's a point at which 'collecting' can become hoarding, even when it is amassing 'art' in its various forms. To be able to afford such a huge personal amount of 'art' that no one sees is much more of a self indulgent act.

He is gifted with an eye for art. Where other art gallery owners dont see an Artist's potential, he sees and feels what the painting evokes and eventual potential. Just like his father was, mine is also one big unsupportive d**k to my passion. Thank you for sharing this inspiring video.

It must be difficult for his family to live in such a house, full objets. I think he should have a place for himself and his art, and other place for his wife, kids and family. He suffers from art compulsion, it works like an addiction. I wonder if they have a living room, where do they receive visitors?

This is insane. It's just art. There's no hope in art. Trust in Jesus Christ, that He (God in human form) paid your penalty for sin. If you do this, you will be saved from sin and hell. And then you will have hope, because you are set for heaven.

ARTIST CRAFTSMAN & ENTREPRENUERS: My worse fear on returning to America after living and earnings a living in west-Africa eleven (11) years as a jewelry-craftsman were to depend on someone or organization for a job.. And All praises to the Creator, it wasn't necessary.. Thanks to the wisdom of a dear friend, Dr. Margaret Burroughs who during one of her visits to Ghana, I enquired as to could I earn a living as a craftsman when I return to America? "Kojo, no one gonna give you a job unless you've been authenticated, so your best bet is to do as you have done here (Africa) MAKE YOUR OWN JOB. which eased my mind on the matter. 1st, Search out Afro-centric minded Americans that supported Black Artist’s Artworks. Such as; ”MY SANKOFA" or "THE ARTIST'S ODYSSEY.” Or both For details amazon.com: www.amazon.com/Curtis-James-Morrow/e/B074TWSKKW/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_0 ALSO; mysankofa2012.artspan.com/ IF ONLY YOU WWW PEOPLE WERE AROUND 30/40 AGO. 😢😁

The finger movements he uses when trying to explain why a piece of art has it or doesn't he is attempting to elucidate the essence, energy of the artist in the work. He could be described as a human barometer. He wanted to capture this magical energy into himself hence the compunction to collect things that fed his own spirit. It's how I felt about him when I listened to this documentary.
