We put a lot of effort into making the 3D in the Nickelodeon's show Tales of the TMNT blend seamlessly with the 2D animation, giving it that signature sketchy look.
n this video, I showcase how our team cleverly integrated 3D elements while maintaining the dynamic and fun style of traditional 2D animation.

Some of the best choreography and directing I've seen in animation in a long time. The use of blurs, impact frames and silhouettes in difficult perspective shots is perfect. I'm working on my own indie pilot and you've no idea how much your show has helped. Watched the first EP for animation reference and ended up watching the whole series haha.

I thought I had a pretty good eye for this stuff but tales of the tmnt having 3D is absolutely brilliant!!! You've done some pretty wicked stuff! What I took away from this is animate on 2s 3s 4s, really force the perspective! Comping really brings everything together!

Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart had some very subtle cgi with some characters hands that caught me off guard at how well it blended with the 2d.

This 💩 is ungodly difficult but, so worth the pay-off. Not gonna lie I’ve always been a little jealous of Futurama and shows that know the secrets to pulling this off. TELL ME. 😂 The closest I’ve been able to get is by using camera projection for my backgrounds and then let the 3D elements breathe and interact with the 2D elements. 🤷

Very cool! What about the shadows on the mech? Cleanup was needed? Cuz for 3D NPR artist, ugly 3D shadows are quite often headache.
