I don't follow any of these steps, I just crank the engine until I feel compression at the kicker, and bring the piston to TDC using decompressor and i don't even look at amp meter, because any experienced bulleteer could feel the compression getting released and piston bypassing the compression stroke . From here, all it takes is a single kick to bring my bullet to life. I've been cranking my bullet for years like this, because i do maintenance on my bullet as a hobby with Pete Snidal's manual. Anyway this is a nice explanation video for anyone who hasn't ridden an English bullet.

There's no need to look at the amp meter.. Just decompress at kicker half pressure Also If the Amp Meter is faulty too the kick back will break one's calf..

Bro, which is the right way to turn off engine. By pressing decompressor lever or by using engine kill switch?

bro you dont need to start with so much pressure remember it can be started with hand also

Correct. Somehow I always kick like this, have been trying to soften it. They day is probably near when I'll eventually wear out the kick dog with this kind of kick.

Bro which is the right way to off by pressing decomprestion/turn offing switch
@ironbarrel7717
@ironbarrel7717 2 года назад
Either way is fine. Just ensure that when the engine is off the amp needle is at the middle (turn on the kill switch once the engine is off to ensure that). The basis of it is to avoid wet sumping.

If we have both killswitch and ignition why do we use de compression to turn off. ? Yes , really not for this purpose. By doing off by pressing decompression will gradually and slightly cause valve leakage by oxidation.

Which silencer is this is that free flow?
@ironbarrel7717
@ironbarrel7717 2 года назад
Yeah. Not recommend though. Sound might be great but gets the exhaust valve fried every 30 to 40K km, even with right carb tuning. I reseat and lap the valve myself, so its not much of an issue for me as I have some freetime occassionally.

My bullet won't idle on choke, it will turn off suddenly
@ironbarrel7717
@ironbarrel7717 2 года назад
Actually none won't idle. Since the choke setup on Mikuni carbs are not actually Chocking the airway, but its just a fuel richening mechanism, you'll have to rev a bit (about 20 to 30%) and let more air in such that the AFR at least reaches the 11:1 for the engine to work without stalling. So, in a gist, for the engine to work on choke, throttle it a bit and and let the engine run till the engine beats become erratic. When it becomes erratic, turn off the choke and your bike will idle just fine. Mind you, this will work if and only if your carb is tuned properly. Most mechanics tune these old CIs ultra rich so in such cases pulling the choke just flooda the engine with fuel.
