I recently read a book by a famous scholar/philosopher named Julian Baggini. The short form of his findings was that freedom is not given but earned. I thought about it long and hard and came to realize how our thoughts create our reality: There are only 3 things I (the awake conscious ego "I") can control: - What I pay attention to determines (to a large extent) what I experience. This is sometimes described as "mental radar". - How I interpret my experience determines (to a large extent) what my thoughts/feelings are about the experience. - How I react to my experience determines to a large extent) the course of my life. Most people do not actually experience free will because all 3 of these things are automatic (knee jerk, autopilot) although they are almost entirely under one's control. This is partly what people mean about "being present" or "mindful". After several months, I've demonstrated the truth of this reasoning to myself repeatedly.

Thank you, really needed to hear this message of confirmation today. Energy shifts affect our equilibrium and mine has been struggling to find balance again…which has been a complete 180 to where I was…so I’m taking it in stride knowing it’s all for a reason. I find a great sense of mental peace and clarity comes when you operate from a place of purpose and giving. When I was younger I used to seek approval for my talents or my work in the world and place value upon that, however now I see it from a more grounded perspective that I am simply giving my gift to the world and whether someone receives it or not is completely out of my control. Short fuse, do you have one? LOL That’s a wound, a live wound. You just need a little push to bring out the best of you Healing is the answer, but we hide it because is painful, it makes us look weak and vulnerable We care so much about how we look to others, our self image that we hide our inner child, because is full of pain That’s why we react the way we react. So, we act, re-act, we repeat that acting that those words, that behavior brings memories back to our today It’s in our childhood and WE hide the pain, that those memories brings to our reality. Boiling point, hard to contain, to keep under control. But remember, it’s just a reflection of our environment See through the clouds, accept your wounds and heal them, hard to see-accept them. Consciousness is the key, is see ourselves from the outside of that behavior Provoked from what? It’s another layer of that shield to protect us from the environment It’s a program from our childhood See it and work on it Remember, others are our reflection, we are mirroring what others do, say and behave. It’s not them, it’s in us. What’s the opposite of that? …that’s the key, work on it if you see it, if you dare to see what others are going through and then, you will see other people’s pain too Compassion Let your guard down Layers and layers and layers and that shield gets heavy and heavy and heavier And then we get sick and wonder where that constipation comes from, arthritis, knee pain, heart disease, high blood pressure and so on Life is not that hard When that happens, when you explode, take a few seconds, realize where that comes from, accept it, be true to yourself and ask for forgiveness and ASK for help Drugs, alcohol are a distraction, a relief valve, and avoidance…from the pain

Excellent video presentation. And timely as well. I've noticed that although I still occasionally "react" to situations/circumstances, I no longer go unconscious but instead witness the entire experience and simply remind myself to breathe. I have equilibrium throughout the experience. I remind myself that it's still just a point along the path and we/I am doing just fine, I might even smile and say something to myself like "nice work!", or "well done!" and move on into the day. Eckart Tolle tells the story of watching two swans having a momentary tiff and then turning away from one-another, shaking it off and settling back down. Nice visual. 🙏💜

If nothing bothers you why would you be eager to find solutions and make a difference. There is a space between the stimulus and the response and you do decide the outcome, but the title of the video BOTHERS me. p.s you apply this philosophy because something bothered you in the first place(many times)😉

A few money won't solve your problems. What you need is definitely a lot of money. But when you have this money, what will you do then? How and in what form will you save it so as not to lose it? The hope of finding peace and a place in the sensory world where nothing will bother you is akin to the naivety of a fly half-stuck in resin. You are desperately floundering, hoping that you are about to break free and find happiness. But you are stuck in the Matrix, brother. And it will not let you go.

I don't have any problem with the aforementioned shits after me for money because fortunately I'm in a country where you can 'owe' a fortune to all the various leeches but nothing happens if you never cough up. However, you only need to get a parking ticket in say (what used to be) the UK and if you don't cough up there you'd soon have a couple of brain dead uniformed clowns at your door threatening to arrest on the spot you and put you in nick! So, the matrix could be worse, lol! 😙
