I seem to remember B.A.Robrtson interviewing annabella lu win (or however you spell it) of BOWOWOW fame and she more or less told him he was shite!--!!!!
B A Robertson is an excellent songwriter with decent sense of humour however this interview and the concert I saw him play at Newcastle City Hall was completely underwhelming.
We're not that familiar with B.A. here in America. I only know him as the guy who sang "I'm Just a Sucker For Your Love" in the movie "The Monster Club" in 1981. That was a cool song.
Wonder what the BA stands for? I think it's British Airways, because he looks like Concorde. Remember, this man wrote 50% of all annoying early 80s novelty hits. He's like Jonathon King without the spell in prison. Top marks on Rankine and MacKenzie for not kicking him. Hard.
What you talking about Willis, he was big in India ,Pakistan and Bangladesh even the afghans loved his songs , he was a phenomena he put Scotland on the map his style of blazers , expressions and hair was copied throughout london
You are correct I've seen his interviews with other great talent where he tries to belittle them. And all because he is jealous but makes himself look silly.
True and the middle two you cite are good songs (Knocked it off effectively prophesies the whole Beckham phenomenon). Having said that he's absolutely appalling here and never got a presenting gig again.
True insecurity was rife.. Nihilistic refusal to cooperate or play the established game was the RIGHT choice when faced with the smug "showbiz" banality & wankerness exhibited by the likes of BA Robertson here
