Fantastic video James astra looks brill.I wish I was handy but I was born brain injured with bad sight.you are very good James and very nice person.thanks David from stirling
cool video man.. really looking forward to you making a video of painting the arches on mondeo and astra, will really finish them off, especially before winter kicks in and makes them worse
Very nice work. I had the bumper off my Astra today to fix the air con. Great little upgrades, the shiny black inserts in the headlights are the standard GSI look. Maybe a potential video could be doing a Z20LET engine upgrade or GSI interior upgrade. 😉 Keep up the good work bud.
I think the smoked lights was fitted to the face-lift astra sports models eg sport Sri gsi, 03 reg on. Rear lights wear smoked too!!! If I remember correctly
Great video, very informative, as always. if it was me doing this I think I would have waited until I had time to restore the bumper whilst doing this other work, it would just save the time of re assembling it only to have to remove it again, remove the newly installed splitter, to paint it.
Hi, Great video. I am a new subscriber and really enjoy your videos. I do most things car wise myself too and it’s nice to see others do it too. You have a few cars on the go at any one time. How do you insure them or whom do you use as a multi car policy? Chris.
Saw those spanners when I went in to look at offset spanners, didnt think they had a deep enough neck for my shock absorber. They do have some nice offers though. I like their tool section since the refurb too, all nicely laid out. B&Q do have some discounts down the centre of the electrical aisle.
Hi James liking the face lift on your astra those spanners were a good find iam looking for a tool box for my snap on tools ive got i will find one some point keep up the good work james 😁👍
Hi james depending on how bad the old headlights are scratched you can use toothpaste to clean them up. I used it on my astra headlights and worked well probably sounds stupid but just what i used
I bought the same light's 4 years ago and fitted them with 120% brighter ultra xenon bulbs and are good. Next stop for your Astra. Gsi bonnet vents and rear spats? How about an Ashley exhaust manifold?
Loving the videos. You’re far too eager to point things out before others do though. Most would blink and miss it but you worry a great deal about what others think and say when you shouldn’t. Don’t anticipate people’s reactions my friend, it’s a slippery slope and one you will not get back up from.
Just a thought... but when bolting the splitter to bumper on the underside the bolt heads that were visible perhaps you could of put some plastic fixing caps over them - the ones similar that industrial roofers/cladders use to prevent corrosion
Your logo on the grill is the I from Irmscher. This looks like a genuine part from them. You should have a marking on the outer edge saying Irmscher Typ 2001050 or something like that.
Great video mate! Bit of a weird one but can you show how you take the bumpers off? It doesn't look hard from your videos but obviously that's because of the editing but if you could show how hard or easy it is I would appreciate it! Thanks man
Can you do a tutorial how to mount and install a turbo on it , i would like it on the astra . i got a 1.6 16v sport myself from Opel . I am from holland !
These modern headlamp units that incorporate the indicator light I think are dangerous because the front headlamp is usually angled so light from the sky is reflecting on the front making the indicators far less clear.
Just a thought, Any chance of making a new series Like tutorials that teaches us to be a home mechanic? Nothing too difficult but things like changing Brakes, Exhaust's, Plug's or Radiators Or even how to fit a Towbar. I know it would be of great use to me so someone else would surely need the info too
I wonder about the fate of Corsa C 1.8. It could be yet modified on and be quite a quick little dragon. I have a Corsa B with a swaped 1.8 x18xe1 engine and keep modifying it. Mine is a quick little dragon.
'Back in the day' i remember rather than drilling etc with that bonnet tab you could actually buy a shorter tab to work around this problem. I'm going back the best part of 10 years but you could probably find this?
Can somebody enlighten me? I've only watched the videos about the Astra project, and I skipped over a couple so it's possible that I missed something, but what happened to the Angel Eyes he built in in the beginning? Did he get rid of them for some reason? Thanks in advance, cheers.
You can put you're car on youre neighbours driveway. You don't need Jack's.. The opel astra looks amazing. If i was living close to you. Than I wil trust my twintop to you.. Keep it up man
iRMSCHER is a company back in his days, this company did a lot of body kits, its something like OPC but not from the factory. U can check Vectra B2 to see iRMSCHER and Zender products, looks so awesome
I have same fog lights, they are quite ugly, my idea was to find OPC Grills or create 3D printed grills and fit in OPC Circle fog lights. Much cleaner and nicer
Right so, we've got to fix the rusty Mondeo arch, paint the Astra bumper, get the trike on the road before winter and then the fiesta repairs and work fulltime during the day....
Dude that Astra looks the part if you listen to her she is crying out for a 2.0l engine to be fitted at the minute she looks the show but with out the go
I have to agree with a comment by another subscriber, how did you move the fiesta with no engine or front suspension ? Poor continuety? Apart from that good video 🇬🇧
