Astra FINALLY Gets Gsi Alloys!

Top tip, put some masking tape or electrical tape around the 17" socket, this stops you scratching all the paint! =0)

Do the interior trim in gloss black

If you do take the front seats out I could be interested in them, if the drivers seats in better nick than my current one !.

Tyre soap will literally just pressure wash off

Not sure if it makes a difference or not but I always watch the adverts in the hope it gets him some extra coinage 👍

Nail brush and some normal car soap suds will get the tyre slip off.

That astra looks so much better than the mondeo in my opinion the mk4 Astra has aged so well 👌

That finish on those wheels is great. Just a heads up. When storing the wheels always put something like blankets or old carpet between them to save the paint job.

No point setting your torque wrench for 120nm if you go 1/4 turn past the click 😂😂

The proper torque for the wheels is 110nm,i had a brakes done and the garage tightened my wheel bolts to 150nm and snapped three of the bolts, needless to say a company with a name not so dissimilar to the good tyre shop you used had a large repair bill, I told them I don't trust their monkeys working on my car, spoke to the area manager and got him to agree to the vauxhall dealer doing the work(replace front hub assembly, 4 new bolts and a new set of locking wheel nuts), then the fun started when I went to get my car back they said sorry"it's Been condemned, the garage have put dot 5.1 in it should be dot4+", had all brake lines, master cylinder, 2 callipers, 2 rear wheel cylinders replaced at the garages cost.

The white tyre gunk is just SOAP to help the tyre fitting process.

Looks sweet man. If your looking to change interior consider the blue se 2 interior from a Bertone that car would look awesome with those door cards and seats.

White stuff on tyres is only soap. Easy to remove with a wheel brush.

Prefer the Astra to the Mondeo

On the gsi the silver parts of the doors behind the window (between the front and rear windows) is black. Depending on how far you go with it you could gloss black wrap them. I did mine thinking it wouldn't make much difference but it looks so much better. Good job 👍🏼

Heated seats are great if you have a touch of a sore back

Good job on the wheels. They probably got marked easy because the paint would not have been fully cured. It's a shame you fitted ditch finders. If you can't afford new quality tyres look for second hand quality ones. I bought a set of 4 goodyear tyres on ebay 225 40 18 for £200 with half a mm wear on two of them and manufactured in 2018. It saved me £120 in comparison with the cheapest price I could find online. Keep up the great vids. 👍

Silver centre console.. keep that bit stock. GSi seats a good idea. Wheels look good! Lower profile tyres affect the speedometer? Might read a slightly higher speed than normal but not much.

Make the center console looks like the corsa d vxr ( pianno black ) i want to do it in mine astra and i want to see how it will be like

Dude I am well jealous, I been trying to get my hand on a set of Gsi snow flakes or Sri 5 spokes both in 17s and painted in grafite gray. But nice work they look fantastic on the car. You are on about the trim on the inside why not make the trim match the steering wheel at the bottom or just go piano black trim, both would look sweet as.

why didnt you buy part worns would have worked out much cheaper

If you stuck the jack under the middle of the car (the sidemember), you could get it up with both of the wheels front and back.

You always could try a magic eraser/melamine sponge to clean the tires.

Do the interior trim in silver. Eventually give the interior of the car a black and silver theme to go with the outside.

You should try to get trade insurance as you do work on many cars and sell it as well, with trade insurance you can drive any car instead of them letting rotten away on your drive

I would reccomend using some Poorboys Wheel Sealant, will keep the dirt from bonding to that fresh paintwork! Just apply it like a wax to the whole wheel, they will look new forever!

That looks great! The best wheels to put on a Astra. An Irmscher grill would finish the car off. Have you thought of An OPC Recaro interior? Looks so good. You could paint the centre console silver just like the car.
