Digging all your videos DLove. Cant believe ive had my 1st gen ALU for almost a year since i got mine day one sams last december. I can honestly say ive enjoyed the hell outta my cab. Been using retropie w 8,000 game on it and super happy coinops x finally added on it. Theyre joystick controls are all setup to work w all games on there. This is an amazing cab! I currently own 5 arcade1up machine and didn’t understand the hype behind the legends machine. The games loaded on it didn’t draw my attention. Your video helped clarify it some for me. Now Im highly considering purchasing this machine.
Two weeks ago I decided to search for a plug and play game. I had no idea what was out there. Today my gamer pro from atgames, USB multiport and coin ops USB drive arrived. I haven’t had a TV in over two years, 43 inch flat screen with all of the inputs arrives Saturday.🥳. I might add a spinner. You’ve got a nice game room, it brings back memories. I am 57 now and I remember when the first games came out. I can’t believe that they have this now! Thanks for the video!🎸🍀🕊
The rewind button is pretty cool. But that's really a feature of Retroarch, AtGames just put a dedicated assigned button on their cabinet. You can do this with any button on other cabinets if you wanted.

Hey Detroit. Great video man. First off I got the same one version 1.1 , and man I have to say I love it. And I got coin opsx as well. Love that too man. What makes it even next level bro, I now play my steam games via the byog games menu and stream it from my pc. I have zero lag at all, and love it. Now I can play killer instincts, dragons lair , mortal kombat 11 , street fighter 5 . You name it. This cab is beast bro! And now that I’m streaming my pc to it and playing my steam games, man I can’t even tell you how blown away I am with it. Obviously this is not powerful enough on its own to run all those games I just said, but these are running through my pc and streaming through the legends ultimate . Just wait till you try that bud, you are gonna be blown away man! I have 4 arcade 1 ups, and this thing drawfs them in size and to me just kills them in all the possibilities! Well man, let me know how you like it if you try , or if you need any tips. Oh and I like you on the shows with pdubs, restalgia, and michael. Talking about the legends pinball! Keep those shows coming man! 👍🏻
Sure it's a life changer, but the menu is very laggy, so maybe the creators could give us other simple interfaces to choose from, just like the PC version of Coinops X. I hope a Settings page will be available in version 6.
Cool arcade,I want the At games legends core when it comes out,it's a day one purchase for me,I could never afford to get the legends cabinet but the core maybe more my price range hopefully it don't take too long to be released in the UK ☺️👍
Nice video. I bought the Ultimate but have not got it out of the box for a month yet. Can you enjoy this setup without a internet hookup? I can do the USB adders but not the online stuff. I'm from the 80's bro. What do you think? Stick with a PS or Xbox? Thanks man.
wow, so you have to have 2 flash drives - one with CO and one with the games? do the games have to be formatted to work on the AtGames? I have the 1st gen cab and I thought you just had to go through the CoinOpsX and have a usb with the games on it formatted in a special way to play on the AtGames... VERY interested in seeing more (Y) :)
I believe what you're saying was true prior to a particular version of the firmware. And I understand it they made the change to support the pinball machine. Just an FYI you can do it with 1 flash drive now just have to make 2 partitions on 1 flash drive. I am still not sure if I want to add retro console games or not 😆

I love this game changer video Carl. You do have a sweet setup downstairs and I’m jealous! Just a quick question why do you have a tarp on the back of your games? Maybe it’s there so you can sneak those cabs past your wife. I think I might try that.
Good question! I live in Michigan where we get some cold weather and have basements. My basement is unfinished, but the builder put in a wall wrap insulation & vapor barrier on the concrete walls. Without it, you would see concrete walls and me freezing in the videos, LOL.
@@DetroitLove maybe it’s time to finish that up . I’m in Pennsylvania and my basement is still cold with it being finished . You’ll need a dehumidifier too
I would get a legends ultimate but the size factor wouldn't match my arcade1up cabinets. Plus it is more expensive which us why I now build my own unless more arcade1up cabs go on walmart clearance.
If this couldn't run coinops, do you think the ALU is worth it? Retroarch on a pc and pi has a rewind feature, so not exclusive feature to ALU. The 2 spinners and trackball are nice though.
For sure, it makes sense. Since you're mentioning the pie or PC I am assuming that you are interested in modding. This definitely makes a whole lot more sense for moder n as you don't have to put as much money into it to get it to do what a pie or PC would offer for retro games. Clearly a PC offers much more modern games and if you're going to put that in either cabinet, this cabinet offers a whole lot more in size and features.
Without coinopsx the ALU would not be worth it. Unless you really like pinball lol. The pinball with the pinball button add on is pretty dope though but without coinopsx it’s def not worth it.
Got an AtGames Legends Ultimate Cabinet but can't update to put coinopsx on. Will not connect to the internet but doing a factory reset with lan pluged in I get the new games but the software ver. stay the same.
You've probably figured it out by now, but I found using a hardwired connection to the internet worked for updating to the latest version. My wifi connection works now but it's a little finicky still.

I personally prefer AddOnX over CoinOpsX. You can browse the games faster in my opinion. Ten games per page vs one game at a time.

Awesome video Detroit love but you wasting lots of USB ports and space with your setup. You just need to partition the usb drive that what looks like you have the v4 arcade coinopx build on it. If it’s a 64GB drive, v4 take up around 42GB. You then can make a 10-12GB partition for at games , to be mounted to your ALU so that you’ll now have 10GB or whatever you make it ) of storage do download and buy pinball game packs and other game packs that at games is definitely going to be opening. The Alu has zero storage for you so this is there way of making it so everyone hAs storage in the same file system mounted in the arcade so we can spend money in their new App Store when it comes out . I have two drives in my system. A 64GB drive that has V4 arcade build plus the 10GB of storage space mounted for when they let us buy some pinball packages . Yeah I just received it from someone that day and had to use one of my extra USBs and extra port just to see what it was all about. I've since then fixed that and made a video about it. Thanks for the input appreciate you!
Trying to understand why someone would need CoinOpsX if the games load on AddOnX? Just not seeing the difference besides the interface. Picked up the Sams Club version yesterday. Ordered a 5 inch riser off Ebay for $75. Got a double screen multicade and jukebox running off 2 PCs as well. Going to get the Legends Pinball and sadly the A1Ups I have starting to look tiny in comparison.
The coinopsX is soooo much easier to navigate, and imo looks much nicer. Ease of use. The scrolling feature and able to skip games. Also the video preview are nice to see what the game is. Basically just a personal preference.
@@rxeman It's more about time. I'm going to get into that end of things for the pc multicade and start adding roms and emulators but with the CoinOpsX I'm kind of under a time constraint. I'm trying to get a CS job with Atgames and need to learn everything about the interface and how it's used. I've basically been on a crash course the last few days consuming any Legends Ultimate tutorial I can find.
$135 last month is $20 less than this month's bill and last year this month was $40 more. I don't keep them on all the time, I tell Google to turn them off all at once when I'm done.
