@@Metaphor9696 it's easy, they have a settings mode called OTG, you basically connect the Pi's HDMI cable and a USB cable to the cab, change the input button and you're good to go. The ALU control deck is recognized by the Pi as a game controller.

Finally got this cabinet, and was shocked to notice bad audio / video desync on ALL the games, across the board. There's up to half a second, to as much as an entire second of delay between what you see, and what you hear. Expected this on a wave one product, not this late in the game, so to speak, and especially not on something that costs half a grand! Again, thanks for the video.
@@Madlittlepixel Yep. Updated it right after initial check out of the system. After the update, it still has audio video desync across the board. All games, all platforms.
Quite the redemption arc AtGames got goin' on here. Good to see things turn around for them. A friend of mine got him one earlier in the year, and loves it.
I have this cabinet. It has horrific audio lag. When I reported that to AtGames, they flat denied it, even after video evidence was sent to them, showing a half second delay, of audio, behind video. They bounced me back and forth between multiple service departments for so long, they burned through my warranty.

I ordered mine last night! I bought 12 arcade 1ups on the last few years and their quality kept getting better but also their price has been creeping up as well. They are now $500 each now also because of risers, lighted marquees, and things like stools. So for the same price you get a much bigger monitor, and a truly open architecture for customizing the software and hardware. Im putting twin Tron arcade sticks in mine

I do agree At games have had a rough start and a lot of their systems in the beginning sucked. But we can't deny that they're getting better and better with their systems it kind of began for me when I first had a system from them that I would honestly say was good and I liked was probably that home arcade system which was basically a Sega Genesis clone that they made in the past but now with arcade games on it which made it better and even better than that easy to hack to put all the other games on it and ever since then it's just improved and now they're putting out machines such as these which I would absolutely love to have if I had the money for it that's only reason why I haven't bought one myself so when it comes to trash in them I honestly don't think they deserve it anymore.
My first experience of an @games product was an awful Atari flashback thing that somehow managed to use a NES on a chip to make worse versions of the 2600 games it was supposed to play. I paid £2.00 for that in a junk shop and felt ripped off. Last one was another flashback, but with arcade games on a little hdmi dongle and to be honest, for what it was and how cheap it was I had no complaints. Emulation was spot on and the controller was fine. So yeah, they are getting better, in fact im very tempted with this cab if its ever released in the U.K.
I have the older (1.0) model of this. The main appeal is definitely coinopsx. I’ve always wanted a MAME cabinet with quality joysticks and buttons that doesn’t cost a fortune. At the $500-600 price point, this fits what I wanted. It’s not for everybody, but there’s definitely a market for this.
The silly legend's flashback plug and play things actually got better after a few firmware patches as well. Most people never realzied they had constant firmware patches for their stuff since 2018.
I bought the Flashbacks that had new games to add to the arcade. Only awful one is the first one they put out the NES rom PAC-MAN. Plus you can find them for like $4 now.
May not be cheaper but sure as hell is easier to get that. Personally pre ordered a Neo Geo MVSX and can't wait as I've been wanting a cabinet in my house
@@Ren722 I'd say it's cheaper than building a full size for sure. Unless you're handy with MDF and can cut it to spec. I'm not lol. But I also ordered the Neo Geo cab.

Yes, the Ultimate Legends is good when it works but......it breaks easily and customer support is practically non existent! Mine is only a few hours old and i'm already having the dreaded BLUETOOTH issue where my controls are locked out. Heard there are bad CTR boards in these that the company is switching out when available. However, support has been real slow for some on getting issues fixed. I bought mine at Sams Club and probably will be returning because the manufacturer only gives a 30 day warranty on these (hmmmm...I wonder why?). Shame because they could've really hit a grand slam on this unit if built right and backed up with a strong support warranty.
Update: The control deck has failed completely, and AtGames won't replace it. Not even a year and a half out of the box, and really, not much play time on it, and now you can't use it. Tried disconnecting the BitPixcel marquee, and directly hardline connecting the control deck back into the PCBA, and it's bricked. GG, AtGames!
@@5ecretcode ATGAmes has an "F" rating by the BBB. Their Ultimate Legends game console had a bad control board less than 90 days after I bought it, and they wanted $20 for a replacement board. They warranty their products for ONLY 30 DAYS!!!!

@@pixelplayer140 No, it was the new cabinet. Don't get me wrong, I loved the cabinet, but I didn't love their customer service. If it was a joystick that had gone bad that quickly, I could see where they could assume possible abuse. But not for an internal board that wouldn't even be touched once it was put together. To nickel and dime me 2 months after I bought it was pretty bad, IMHO.

Legends Ultimate Is a fantastic machine. It's truely a gem of a product for the money. I really didn't care about their other stuff either but this cabinet is a must have if you like playing arcade games.
i think its neat that a niche hobby (i built my mame cab back in 08, when slikstik was still around) has become so mainstream and even better.. afordable (makes a big difference when youre not using a wells gardner monitor or slikstik/hotrod control panel)
I really love my atgames legends ultimate. I was looking between the ultimate and the 1up, I’m really glade I bought the ultimate. So many more options to play with. I’m glad you like it.
I must say this looks like the best system that AT Games has released for the community thus far. The clip on side art that doesn’t stick to the machine is rather disturbing but the roller and the twist seem real smooth and that’s huge. When I tried one of the original 1ups with a roller ball I saw terribly disappointed but this one seems damn good. Perfect for Arkanoid etc. This looks like a HUGE upgrade and a great job from these guys. 👍
Wow, maybe this is the one I'll finally dip on when I get the opportunity to get a home arcade. It's shocking to hear that AtGames bumped their quality standards up for this.
Dude, we both received our units the same day. My FB post of it if you you remember. I had my old unit from 2019 and when received the packaging was fine but the monitor case was broken on the side, certain panels had cracks in them. It wasn't really packaged good. My firmware would never update and returned it. Fast forward to 2020 the year of chaos and finally was able to pickup one from Sam's Club. Delivered with a hole on the outside packaging and the two panels were damaged. The artwork one and back. Everything else was packaged inside well with the styrofoam. All these damaged pieces are due to the shipping companies. They should take more caution when delivering. I set up the unit and it connected online and no other issues. The pinball attachment was an added bonus as I didn't know this was just a Sam's Club exclusive. I'm enjoying it more this time around with the added USB "Coinops" add on. Is it perfect no. Is it enjoyable yes. Keep rocking dude!
Just a tip...if your using that 2-way splitter as a barrel to extend you cable line, and you have normal cable ie: Comcast, Cox, Time Warner Cable. Your introducing noise into the network, at the very least you should put a terminator on the open port.
Hey thanks for this video, I went out to look for this product and compared it on-site since it was next to a 1up cab. The AtGames feels surprisingly better, bigger, even the stick and buttons feel way better than the 1up stuff. So I just bought an ALU, now to some arcade goodness at home! The 1Up arcades, while I love their designs, are way too small, even with the riser, the marquee blocks part of the screen because of my height.
I think taking this, making a custom control panel leaving the track ball but removing the spinners. (No game i would wanna play would use it) and it would be dope for what It can do. Not a fan of the over all shape but again can custom a cab if you wanted to and use the atgames internals.
One thing I can say. The fact these have a track ball and spin dial make them appealing as an all in one unit. But if you have to get one, get the same club one to make sure you got everything you need out the gate.
I saw it back in stock on Sam's Club website and went ahead and ordered. One of the main things that kept me hesitant was AtGames track record but this review makes me hopeful. Another deciding factor was I was wanting to initially get a PS5 but with everything a backorder mess I will just likely wait until they are back in stock and have a price drop. I have never owned an arcade cabinet so for this price and the versatility it offers hopefully it helps keep me entertained through the rest of this pandemic and here's hoping I don't regret it!
I’ve saw people say something about the spinner location before. It’s absolutely not a problem. I’ve had my cabinet almost a year now and played many hours on it.
One thing that AtGames did that no one ever does. They acknowledged their previous owners with 1/2 off a lighted marquis and made available the 50 new games via software update. When do you see a company give something to those that already bought their product instead of focusing only on new customer acquisition.
CoinOPsX is the only reason I would get this. I purchased the 2 player Gamer Pro and it works with these images as well. It will make a good addition to my Man Cave when I build a pedestal for it and play on a bigger screen. Now if they can get a Light Gun Games to work with the Wiimote it would be beyond awesome
I got the 1.1 ALU and absolutely love it. With CoinOpsX, it's a dream cabinet. The firmware updates are frequent but often require Factory Resets that sucks, but the machine and controls work great. As for the side art, with two of us putting the cabinet together, we were able to smooth it down so it doesn't gap at all. It isn't the greatest art so exchangeable art is a nice idea.
I’m setting mine up tonight, just got it put together and waiting for the wide decals to flatten out good before putting them on. Silly question but do you turn yours off and on just like you would a game console like nes/snes or do you leave your arcade on 24/7? Haven’t messed with it yet so maybe it has a sleep mode?

Thank you for the info. I was a kid that played in the arcade in the early 80s. I love the idea of a all in one. Please do some more videos on adding video game. And most important your opinion if this is the right cabinet for all in one arcade games.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago, and yeah, it is a very nice machine and I couldn't find anything similarly good in the price range. There might still be of course, but I couldn't find any. The trackball feels slightly off, but that is my one negative point. It took me about 25 minutes to put it together which is faster then most IKEA furniture. Well, there is also the pre installed Atari 2600 games, I have no idea what they are doing here, particularly the ones who already have an arcade version as well. I can choose between playing the amazing original arcade Space invaders or the rather lackluster 2600 version, who would ever bother with the latter?
Would love to see a miniseries on this machine. Highly interested in a home arcade mame nut this looks to be a quality replacement. Testing out as many BYOG would be great. Maybe upgrades to sticks and buttons... and connecting other systems..computers, raspberry pi...
"No sound issues"? There is noticeable audio lag on these machines, which you can tell from the gameplay in this video. Especially on the Bad Dudes footage. This has been a problem for a long time, and Atgames don't care to fix it. If you got a V1.0 machine, on the earlier firmwares, the sound is in sync. It was introduced after FW4.9... Every firmware update they add stuff, but also break something.
I've been doing some serious testing on this machine, since I got it, a few days ago. On the Genesis platform, I'm noticing symptoms of memory leaking. I'd like you to check this at your end, if you would. I'm on the latest firmware, by the way. Just pull up any Genesis game, at random, and let it run demo mode, for about half an hour, and come back, and see if yours starts loosing audio quality, and getting sluggish. Also, on all platforms, all games, I'm observing a half second desync issue. Sound is half a second behind video. Please let me know if you observe same. I'm reporting these findings to AtGames. By the way, my unit was purchased this week. Thanks.

Sounds like a good product. Just glad I built my cabinets I sold before the hype. Its difficult to build cabinets for the prices they sell them for if you want to use high quality parts. Probably wouldnt have sold them as easily
Would love to see someone replace the internal system with a PI or even mod the computer board that comes inside and get Linux on there for installing Pi and other such things.
Wow man, now that was a shocking review but super awesome. If you add your own games, do you have to leave a usb drive sticking out the USB port? or does it have some internal storage? I might have to pick this up. Was looking to get a bigger cab.
Surprisingly well made. The sound is good, compared to older at@games stuff. I didn't like the bezel bellow the game, but looks like a nice arcade cab to have if you like things plug & play. I wouldn't go for that acrilic over the art, it will look like crap after some time
Nice review, patton plays channel told me to get this instead of the individual 1ups, as you can add tmnt, simpsons, mk, sf, etc etc on this badboy however I've also read and heard the 1up is of higher more closer to ar age cab quality with the buttons, sticks and overall experience. This thing is how much like 300 bucks or something? I can look into it. I'm not sure I'd be able to play the MK games on the lollipop where they historically use baseball bat knobs so for me that would be an issue gamepkay wise but this seems like a cool collector's piece. Struggling finding info on the artwork. The one you review here is what I want - NO artwork option (all black). From what I see in Sam's Club, the artwork is permanently attached. Did they bring this back, or is there any way to get a "vanilla" option?
Very interested to understand how easy it would be to add a Mister as the underlying system and integrate it with the joysticks. Either that or a batocera x64 mini pc. MLP, have you tried this?

Its as simple as getting ur roms, putting them through their add on tool that you download from the at games site, origanizing artwork if u want and popping them on ur usb stick, done, its very simple
I have an Atgames legends gamer pro… out of the blue, I can’t get the Bluetooth to connect to the core… I’ve tried a few things but I’ve had it for a year, so if it can’t be fixed, I might be gutting and going the pi route… I love the layout with the trackball etc… do you have any experience with these where a connection for the Bluetooth has been loose or stopped working? Any help is appreciated … thanks MLP
