WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

To respond to the first caller, Connor, this is mostly speculative, but I believe it has merit; but consciousness in my opinion is an illusion of scentient minds continually receiving and reacting to stimuli, and the background processes and firing of neurons in the brain. If you consider our perceptions of the passage of time, science shows that while our perception is for the most part steady and constant, other creatures, based on comparisons of reaction time to brain size, seem to perceive time at different rates. A fly, for example, is estimated to perceive time at a rate 4 times faster than a human, so they view the world in slow motion. And when you consider unconscious people, be it in a sleeping or a comatose state, have functionally no perception of time at all. For comatose patients that recover after weeks, months, or years, it can feel like time travel. Their consciousness while unconscious didn't continue or transfer into another creature like a temporary reincarnation. And even if it were the case that consciousness was somehow transcendent and shared between thinking minds, our memories of the past and perception of the present are the only things our consciousness seem to recognize, making the hypothesis bunk and not worth consideration.

I know that Cinderella is the word of a fairy. It says that fairies exist, so that proves it is the word of fairies. Because it is the word of fairies then that proves fairies exist. We know pumpkins exist and mice, so that makes it real.

@tedgrant2 Hi Ted. That made my day yesterday. A positive comment from any stranger can be nice. But a compliment from one we'd ourselves compliment...is fine wine indeed. So thanks. Delay in reply was, in part, because this thread inspired 2 flights of fancy. I thought I might include one. But it needed work. Still does. And time is ticking while I'm tocking, so I offer it only in kit form. Your posts are like epigrams or parables. You're a parablist. Parabola. Arc. Ted's Ark. The other one was something about Netflix and ethics. Oh jeez. I just realized those rhyme. Fuck. Now, instead of a thesis, I may have to make it a sonnet or something.

I’m really in favour of including the fables of “the new Emperor clothes” and “Pinocchio” into the curriculum of primary school with a refresher in college. Every time someone calls out for “incomprehensible God” please go back to “only smart people can see the clothes”. When unsubstantiated statements like heaven and hell are made, go back to “fields of miracles where the money tree will grow from your coins “

My daughters think Scots are the coolest people, mostly because of the accent. I want to believe that there are intelligent people in Scotland, but every Scot who calls AXP is a complete nutjob. I wish some of their best and brightest would call in.

My daughter loves worms 🪱 , she loves humans too lol..... She likes to get a container of worms (bait) from the store. She plays with them awhile then let's them go in the yard as she says "they miss their mommy's and daddy's" lol... She's a one lady worm rescuing operation 🤣🤩😍🪱✌️
