I know Jeremy does a great job and gets a lot of credit, but James had a pile of parts on a bench yesterday and today those parts made 700hp before Jeremy did anything. Great job James. The mechanic is always the unsung hero.

Robert Richardson the mechanic never gets the credit they deserve, when i was 12 i rebuilt my 300 honda fourwheeler me and my cousin, he did timing and set the valves for me because i never knew how, i still to this day give him the credit he deserves

You're not exactly wrong, but a lot of that power has to do with the tune that was already on the computer from the previous build. The mechanic can really only set things up perfectly, which James obviously does because he's awesome, but it's up to the tuner to make it all work together to make power. Obviously there is mechanical tuning, but considering this is a modern engine it's very unlikely it would be done since the tuner can achieve the same thing much easier

Hey cleetus, just so you know the motor you pulled is the identical 5.3 in my Suburban. My two oldest daughters named her “sully” from monsters inc. (even we name our cars) and my daughters have been watching ruby since you bought her at the auction! When my 5 year old saw you pulling the motor from the suburban in the yard, she freaked. “He’s putting sully’s engine in ruby, dad!!!” We await patiently for the videos of the track runs. I read it's best to seat the rings with the engine under a variable load not going to high in rpm. The higher cilinder pressure will push the rings up against the walls. Also the high vacuum after a pull will have the same effect. You have a dyno so using it would be ideal for seating rings. Used this method on my car on the road by driving it up a hill on varying partial throttle and letting it roll down off throttle creating high vacuum. But your dyno session afterwards should have them seated by now :D Also best to use a non synthetic or break in oil for the first dyno session or drive to prevent glazing of the walls.

drill some more holes in the back of the exhaust flap so makes that think sound at idle! trucker style!! love this build!!

Idk much about cars but I watched your aero video on Leroy and thought about you getting clear body panels which would help but still keep the awesome shell of a look on Leroy.
