Bruh.. hell yeah bro I was in my bag back den ... This album was lit bro.. I hope my class break the race barrier n live they life listening to diverse shit cuss this music is the shit makes u appreciate ur past
Wow... This takes me back... I was 18 and had just moved out of my parents house when this came out.i miss those sampler DVDs that came with all the victory albums that had videos of other victory bands. I had one that was like Silverstein, June, the audition and Aiden I used to jam that all the time. I'm still waiting on doc brown to roll up in a delorean so I can go back to the early 2000s
+Jordan Spangler This is mid 00s not early 00s. Early 00s music was more fun upbeat, like Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory etc. Sure there was emo music in the early 00s, but it more along the lines of Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, etc. And it wasn't mainstream. The early 00s were very different from the mid 2000s. If anything the early 00s had more in common with the late 90s than it did with the mid 00s. So don't call this music "early 00s"
@@jonkahnapace5915 thanks for commenting it made me come back and appreciate this song for what it was back then and what it is now!❤ how are ya doing? Do u feel old yet lol
The early 00's were great times. The clothing, the music, people were higher quality, the magazines, the tv, the movies, the optimism in the air, and the video games...2005 was the last decent year. The later 2000's were okay/decent SOMETIMES, but I would take them again over today's ruined/no fun woke culture were everything kinda sucks and lacks creativity.
@@HcoRulezDood it's pop rock, emo, alternative. Do they sound like, Texas is the reason, the promise ring, American football, old Jimmy eat world? No. But they sound like tbs, brand new, and lots of other bands under the old victory, vagrant, drive thru, epitaph days of the early-mid 00's
Emo is a fashion like goth it has nothing to do with music. It wasn't until early 2000 when preps started calling anything emo kids listen to as emo music. A large portion of "emo" music is just pop punk or post hardcore.
"If Only You Were Lonely" had the same Victory Records DVD from the same HH album. It has Atreyu- The Crimson/ Right Side of the Bed, Silverstein- Smile in Your Sleep and a bunch of others. It brings back good times.
Same. They're music was incredibly catchy and well written. So many bands blew up around that time I guess not all of them could fight for the limelight
Man, the lime green popped collar with the flat ironed hair 🤣 and let's not forget about those dance moves from the singer! 😂😂 Good times back then lots of memories!
This came out my senior year and was such a great album. Also this was not emo music this was pop punk which was huge at that time.. I actually had some good friends in a pop punk band called Blinded Black. They played with The Audition multiple times and said the lead singer was kind of a dick though he had a great voice. This music was definitely part of my generation and will probably never have another growth spurt as it did between the years 03-05. The Academy Is, The Audition, The Format, Cartel, Something Corporate, Emery and many more bands created some incredible music during those years. May we never forget.
I agree. I started to listen to music in 03 and it was something magical. Even though I graduated in 2010 I still feel apart of this generation. The music defined us and changed us so much. You are right may we never forget
This band was awesome victory was a powerhouse. I found out about this band from either buying Silverstein or bayside’s album which came with an additional promotional cd and had this music vid on it such a banger
I still love this song. Such a mature sound and great production for how young the band was at the time. Excellently produced album. I’ll never not love this style of music. This era of pop punk/emo/screamo/ etc, had such a major impact on my life
I saw this video on a new band mtv snippet when I came home from school one day. Was blown away. Still my most played song on my ipod. Early 2000's suburbia, so many polo shirts 😂
remember the dvds?! like once a month my cousin got them and we jammed The Audition, Red Jumpsuit, Between Buried and me, AFI, countless others! was it Victory records?
Bought the album!! Got obsessed.. met the band. Jumped into a mud pit at warped tour. Wanted to get my hurleys signed. Line was long i was covered in mud.. never got my hurleys signed. Regret it ever since!
When you think about how Victory Records treated some of these bands, it just makes this whole video have an ironic tone to it. They had some incredible artists on their roster (including The Audition/Reunion Show), but they really didn't appreciate them.
Remember listening to this every morning before school in seventh grade, even if my friends came by and we skipped, this started the day off w/ just the right kind of spark...
My little cousin who i had shown this video to when we were younger asked me how to find the "video with the scene machine" lol I miss this style. When emo kids still wore polos hahah love it
These guys, Mae, and someone else played at Frostburg State University back when I was like a Freshman in 2006ish? God I'm so old...Still have a picture of me and my friend with Danny. Still love my CD. Hope they have this on iTunes for when they stop playing.
Still to this day, ol buddy had the best live drum sound I’ve ever heard on this tour. In a shitty club, with a shitty p.a., in shitty Johnson City TN, those acrylic SJCs were fuggin SINGING!!
