I was 17 when this song came out... I'm 35 and everytime I listen to it I'm instantly transported to that time... Nostalgia is real. I also had that Victory Records DVD.
I was 15 when I first heard and watched this music video on my Hawthorne Heights DVDs! I’m 33 now. And yes, it really did. “Patrick” is one of my favorite songs of all time!
everyone has their own taste. This isn't mind. with that said LOL But to comment on this is a reason ill say... they (VICTORY RECORDS) always gave us a good band and a chance with a gift added to watch new upcoming artist on a DVD. I miss that and give VICTORY records props for that
The Junior Varsity, The Audition, Bayside, Silverstone, Atreyu, Hawthorne Heights, June, The Forecast, Taking Back Sunday.... omfg I miss the early 2000s
I also bought that Hawthorne Heights CD and that the exact same thing happened to me with that bonus DVD. I watched it over and over again for so long and it's largely the reason I am who I am today, especially when it comes to my taste and inspiration in music.
A moment of silence for all our fallen musical extended family who didn't make it to 2024. Music is a great unifire that can bring all differnt types of people together. We all have different life experiences, but the memories from this dvd, these bands, will live forever. Love you all!
That bonus DVD that Victory Records put in their CD's really came in handy. I would rewatch those videos over and over on my handheld dvd player since my internet connection was dial-up and it was too slow to watch videos on ha. 2005 was a different time, so much great music with a scene that was just getting started.
Man I heard this on victory records dvd with my boys in middle school back in 2007. What a trip this song is. They’ll never make it like this again. I wish you all the best ✌️
TheBro BroBro I'm 23, and I've been listening to this song and watching the video on my Victory Records DVD, the one with JT Woodruff from Hawthorne Heights hosting. ^_^
2020 baby so much has happened from the first time hearing this on a 30 second ad. Being emo, graduating highschool and trade school, saying goodbye to loved ones, getting married, having a beautiful son! Wow god is amazing!
man this really takes me back. these were victory's glory years (The Junior Varsity, The Forecast, June, Bayside, back when The Audition was good, etc) man, i cant imagine what my taste wouldve been like had i not popped in the VictorV disc that came in the Hawthorne Heights record.
I still listen to "if you speak any faster" - I can't believe i'm almost 30 and still haven't grown out of it. june is just one of those bands u can't believe didn't blow up like the other og victory records groups
First heard this song on "rage" with my good friend, way back when we were maybe 14 years old when it came out - he never seemed to like music much but this song he loved. He passed away a few years ago, this song always reminds me of him!
Wasn't it the Victory records dvd that came with Taking back Sundays tell all your friends? That shit was on repeat in my dvd player for the longest, good times.
Absolutely loved this band growing up. Saw them open for Hawthorne Heights and at Warped Tour back in the day. Played these albums religiously. Music still holds up!
Mine is NOT orange but is a victory records compilation release. Mt disc is a litle more on the pink side and does NOT have bayside but it has June, Silverstein, Artreyu.
This band was so underrated.... I was from NJ and the scene there was huge. Tons of band come from nj Long Island and the city... when I was stationed it San Antonio I saw them somewhere in Texas
I love this band and still listen to them. I actually still have the dvd. It introduce to to June, Aiden, The Auditon, and other great bands. I really wish June will return one day. .
Crazy to think, all those hot scene girls from early 2000s are old with kids now. We’re old. Cheers. I remember buying an atreyu album with this sampler in it.
Just thought of this band. Think it came with a Taking Back Sunday album. Couldnt remember any songs just remembered the name and figured id check in. I recognize the song now that I hear it again
